The one in Carlisle,PA doesn't have this atmosphere however the servers are very kind and welcoming there in Carlisle.2 mistakes I feel they didn't have on the menu, they no longer have a Kansas City cut steak, or a NY strip steak. “My father just to talk about this place all the time he said when he was a young man he used to to here and get hotdogs and chocolate milk he was born in 1938 I've heard talk also my uncles used to go there also so this business has been around since 1945 that tells you it is the best in Sunbury I personally like the hotdog with onion on the bun then hotdog then the sweet Chili our families last name is cawley“

“Been there a few times with different groups of people and decided it was time to write. This has been a shockingly pleasant surprise! I avoided this location for years when it was a small, local run down bar. I only recently discovered it was completely renovated into a nice restaurant with an owner who clearly cares about ensuring the place remains high quality. The food has been spectacular. We've tried a variety of dishes, from burgers, pulled pork, a chicken sandwich, a shrimp dish, scallops, fresh cut fries, mac and cheese, and a lobster roll. All of is has been great. No complaints from anyone! What a gem for the Sunbury area! Definitely not typical for this area. The cooking staff still care about their craft. (To the staff - please don't lose your passion!) The atmosphere is down to earth, not pretentious, friendly, and warm. Good mix of classic rock always playing in the background. The servers have always been very kind, patient, and friendly. The drinks... the Peach LIT is absolutely amazing. Not a lot of dessert choices which is just fine given I'm usually quite full by the end. But, I did try the PB chocolate pie... oh so good. HIGHLY recommended!“

“I was returning to Lewisburg (from Boston) for a Bucknell Bison Chips 50th anniversary reunion and discovered this fine restaurant. I was impressed by not only the quality of food, but the presentation. This is no ordinary restaurant. It is cozy bistro painted warm tangerine and soft white with lovely hardwood floors. The overall experience was “city” in terms of its sophistication.Our food was carefully prepared, (not generic selections), our waitress and Elizabeth (owner) were pleasant and knowledgeable about many items on the menu. The grilled salmon was delicious, spring bistro salad was fresh and for dessert, our waitress brought out a sample tray all desserts for you to see beforehand. Nice touch! We chose the seasonal crisp w/ice cream, fruit. The overall experience was better than ordinary. It was exceptional! We loved the food so much that the next day we had lunch and ordered some elegant drinks (Lemon Cello) and snacked on pulled pork tacos. We will absolutely be returning someday. “

“My husband and I fell in love with this local spot as soon as we walked in. Small town diners are a favorite of ours and this one had plenty of charm! I wish I could give them 50/5 stars! The staff was immediately warm and friendly. We had burgers for breakfast and couldn't believe how good they were. We came by on several occasions within a couple of weeks and everything we tried was a hit and felt like it was homecooked. There's only 4 booths and a counter so beware you might be waiting for seating on a busy day. But I promise you will not be disappointed by this spot.“

“We have been here several times since they have opened. We were so excited when they first opened. The food was amazing and the staff was so accommodating! However our last 2 visits were extremely disappointing, our waitress was straight up rude so much so that we said we weren’t going back. We gave it another try after that and the food was very off, overdone and one of the dishes didn’t even contain the ingredients stated on the menu. I hope that they can get back to the quality they had when they first started out.“

I stopped in for the first time and ordered 2 orders of wings, lg frie, funnel cake fries, and even got two fresh bakery items in the little shop, all for only $27! “I chose this hotel originally because the reviews were more positive than those for the chain hotels where we usually stay. That was a good decision--this place is amazing! I was originally apprehensive about the tech check-in, having read a poor review. But we had no problem, and the tech check-in proved to be a benefit. The best things about this place: it's smaller than a chain hotel and more like a country inn, so it's elegant, quiet and personal. The rooms are larger than a chain, CLEAN and comfortable and very well appointed. The furniture is upscale/classy. We were able to get a room with 2 separate sleeping areas each with its own queen bed and TV (think "snoring mitigation" :o), and the price was LESS than a single room/2 queen beds in a hotel chain! Once we stayed here once and met the great ladies running the place, we cancelled a Hilton reservation and rescheduled instead for here on our return trip. This will be our go-to hotel whenever we're in the area from now on.“

First time coming here for myself, but my brother lives in the area and frequents this place. Food was okay. Toast was delicious and buttered. Bacon was hot and crispy. Not the undercooked rubbery bacon that sometimes happens at breakfast diners. You get it. The flaked hash potatoes were cold, the eggs were runny, lukewarm, needed a tiny bit more cooking as some of the egg white was clear. some things were hot and piping, but those two things had been cooked too early? I ate the food anyways and I didn't die, and it was a good amount for the price. My brother's food was good too. He got a Belgian waffle plate and scrapple. All in all, it was decent, and would go back. The restaurant's atmosphere was happy and lively, and relaxing. I liked that the bathrooms were clean, well stocked and had hot running water at the sink.Kid-friendliness: Easy simple food, not overcomplicated. Kids menu and cereal. “Traveling on business and not a lot of options were open so we ended up at Bull Run Tap House. The menu offers a variety of items from sandwiches to burgers to pasta to fish and chips. We ordered the pretzel braid, salads, quesadillas, and ribeye steak. Before the food arrived, I chose the cranberry bourbon mule. It was really good - tart and sweet with a hint of ginger. Probably the best mule I've ever had. The food was good - nothing all that notably different so you got exactly what was described on the menu. I have to note that the pretzel braid looked dry but wasn't - it was nicely dense - but the cheese it came with had an odd sweet and cinnamon taste so I ate the pretzel plain. The service was superior...Shayann was our server and she was extremely accommodating with me and I appreciated that. The ambience is very much a bar with a restaurant area in it. It was not loud, just that you feel like you are in a bar. Didn't have an impact on our experience though.“

However with that being said we unfortunately live in Middleburg so we don't get to eat there as often as we would like. So we have the place that opened in Middleburg and they offer only one kind of doagie, but we loved KND's so much we thought we give them a try, boy was that a mistake! Nothing compared to KND's. We ordered the smoked trout baguette and pappardelle as appetizers- both phenomenal with very generous portions. Lewisburg has a bunch of cute little pubs and restaurants, but this is probably the best dinner we've had in the area!“

As could be expected, especially with the size of the party and the wait staff dealing with lots trips up/down a long staircase, patience was needed. But the our servers came through with flying colors. They were pleasant, very accommodating and busted their butts to give us A+ service! The food was top notch. The clams casino was the best I've ever had an so was the crab cake. Everyone was very satisfied with their meals. We will definitely eat their on future visits to Susquehanna U.“

“Everything would have received a 5 star rating. However, because the cooks can not read the tickets correctly, I have chosen a 4-star review. I did a pickup order, and while ordering 1 of the sandwiches, it was supposed to be well done. It was severely pink in the middle. I understand that the staff were busy. However, that is not an excuse to justify not correctly following the ticket. Other than that, the food was delicious.“
