“Cafe La Maude in Philadelphia is a charming spot that blends French and Lebanese culinary traditions into a delightful brunch experience. With a 5-star rating, it’s praised for its flavorful and unique dishes, professional service, and the cozy ambiance that makes the wait worthwhile. The menu offers a mix of healthy options, and while the prices are a bit steep, the quality of the food is exceptional. It’s a place where you can enjoy a leisurely meal and feel the warmth of family history and culture in every bite.“
“Food... Amazing!! Service... Fantastic!! Atmosphere... Cozy!!I highly recommend this restaurant. I enjoy the delicious food (especially the Salmon Freekah Salad and Pistachio Sticky Bun) and the Brown Butter Artichoke Borekas are everything!!! After a year of coming here, I've tried nearly everything on the menu ? Owner, Chef Mike Solomonov is incredibly generous!!!“
“Oh man! I didn’t know I needed this place in my life but here we are! The Pastéis De Nata was perfect, the iced chai was incredible, and the Antonio breakfast sandwich was everything you’d want from a sandwich. Nothing was left on the plate!“
“Interesting use of outdoor lawn chairs for furniture (not sure how this works in wintertime).Plus, there is a good selection of non-coffee drinks and beverage accessories.And... a cortado served in a large GLASS tumbler! Delicious and classy!“
“Love this place for Gelato and drinks. Feel like in Italy when entering the shop. can eat in or take out Gelato. There is a bar inside that they made fresh coffee as well. Best espresso martini and Aperol spitz. There is a restaurant upstairs too but didn’t try yet. Many import staff from Italy. Very enjoy to be in this place. really recommended“
“A cute pet-friendly cafe with a persimmon theme in Fishtown. It might be a popular spot in the neighborhood as it was busy on a Sunday morningSide note: My friend recommended me Drift Magazine for city coffee guide and I was excited to flip the physical copies there. We ordered latte and cappuccino. Very smooth coffee with a nutty espresso base. Well-frothed milk gave a creamy texture. Loved the latte art on top. The porcelain mugs and coasters they used were cute. Their pastries looked attractive to serve with coffee too.“
“Lucked in to finding this place while in town. Small local restaurant, clean and friendly. The mozzarella sticks are freshly cut, battered and deep fried. Best I’ve ever had. The pizza was amazing. Had pepperoni and sausage. Sausage was legit good!“
“Il Sorriso is a hidden gem tucked away in the heart of the city. The moment you step in, you're greeted by the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff make it the perfect spot to unwind or catch up with friends. Their espresso is bold and flavorful, and their pastries are delectable. Whether you're a coffee aficionado or just looking for a relaxing atmosphere, Il Sorriso never disappoints.“
“LOVED IT HERE! Truly authentic Italian cooking, with authentic ingredients to purchase. The staff was so friendly and accomodating on their menu. We had to make a slight change in order for a vegetarian, and they had no issues. We tried their breakfast sandwiches & lunch sandwiches, and each bite was jam packed with substance & flavor (I mean, just look at the layers in my photo.) Fresh ingredients, and an overall quaint/bright spot. This would be an awesome place to post up and get some work done, do some people watching, and enjoy delicious food. Not to mention, their baked goods looked out of this world. We wanted to get so much, but I landed on their passion fruit donut, partly because it was the last one left (so I figured something must be good!) And let me tell you, their dough is different. The donut was dense & fluffy at the same time, and their passion fruit flavor was y-u-m-m-y. I can't wait to go back to try more sandwiches and get some grocery shopping done!“

“Incredible service! They're super accommodating with my dairy allergy and made an incredible vegan latte. My boyfriend got the croissant and egg sandwich and said it was perfectly crispy and the eggs and sausage were fresh. Highly recommend!“
“A hidden jewel for good coffee nestled in Old Rittenhouse Town, Wissahickon Park. (A Beautiful area to hike or mountain bike (two separate trails) or walk your dog ). It is a coffee shop and bike shop. The surprise was the quality and freshness of the coffee. My Americano was delicious. The beans were freshly ground, and the cup was Full of flavor. The young gentleman that served me (and my dog!) was very friendly and welcoming. There are a couple of picnic tables outside to sit and enjoy your coffee and the beautiful historic Rittenhouse town.“
“First time visiting on a Saturday morning and everything was wonderful. It was just starting to get busy, but we were seated immediately. Service to our table was prompt and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Atmosphere was awesome. Everyone was pleasant and attentive. My wife and I had a great time. It got busy, yet everything ran smoothly. Can’t wait to come back and try their drinks and dessert.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available“
“Not only are the single serving treats just adorable (I mean a sleeping teddy bear), they are VERY tasty. The cakes are equally delicious, my experience is that they always have a couple of smaller cakes on hand which has saved me in a pinch several times. The team is lovely, friendly and kind. Highly, highly recommend and will continue to be a customer for a long time“
“OMG, I just discovered this little spot tucked away in an office block. Absolutely the freshest food. I had a smoothie, amazing veggie panini and the soup of the day which was chicken noodle. The ladies are lovely and service is top notch. All good and will be back when the opportunity “
“I saw this place on social media so wanted to check it out. You have an amazing idea here. I thought the Z thing was only for the menu but they have their employees substituting Z’s for everything. It’s funny, it’s an experience. Great customer service IMO.Y’all need to update your address or business page on google maps, this location shows one place. I saw another location on your website, this review is for the truck at 3400 Fox St. I’m not even sure what this business page address is for. Maybe this is an old location?Onto the chicken cheesesteak. I got one with fried chicken tenders inside, lettuce, and I think they put some kind of hot sauce as well. The bread this comes on is incredible. If you want anything HEALTHY, DO NOT come here, I’m reading that it’s deep fried bread. Whatever they do to it, I could’ve ate it alone. The fried chicken inside is seasoned well. It’s kinda too much and falls apart as a result but who cares, eat some first with a fork then eat the rest. I got fries here but they were just okay. I want to come back and try something else.“
“Just moved to the neighborhood. We moved here because we wanted to be able to walk to places like Coffee Cream & Dreams, and I’m delighted that everything about it is so good. Big fan of the cold brew, donuts, and croissants. The service is fast and friendly too. We’ll be back often.“
“I’ve gone in twice for birthday cakes. I’m horribly last-minute, but luckily they always have already-made birthday cakes for sale which are DELICIOUS. They’re super flavorful without being too much, and they’re beautiful to look at. Plus they can write a message on the cake very quickly. I’m a fan!“
“I came here for the first time after an otherwise hectic morning and had such a delightful experience. The coffee and quinoa bowl were delicious and I am obsessed with their HUSKEE drinkware, which is made from recycled coffee husks. Everything about this cafe—from the general vibe to the customer service to the art—makes me want to return, and I look forward to my next visit :).“
“Food was fresh, delicious, and fairly priced. Beware of the pickled jalapeños if you are sensitive to spicy food. Both their beef gyro and falafel were the best I’ve ever had. Please keep in mind that I don’t even like meat and I’ve been struggling with anorexia for decades. So it’s very difficult for me to eat anything unless it’s super fresh and extraordinarily tasty. This place is a true gem and treasure.Service was outstanding, The owner-host made us feel immediately welcomed and at ease. She let us customize our order and was very prompt with our food. She was very knowledgeable about the ingredients they use, as well. The seating area is small, but that is to be expected in this area.Overall, this was by far our favorite restaurant to visit in the Philly area.Vegetarian options: they have falafel, grape leaves, hummus, baba ghanoush, salads, you name it! they offer endless customization options if you’d like, as well.Dietary restrictions: they serve halal, and they are knowledgeable about the ingredients they use.“
“A pastry shop, a beacon of delight,Where morning treats turn dawn into bright. Two souls, prompt and kind,In every task aligned,Make breakfast fare a memorable sight.Croissants cradle eggs and prosciutto alike,A harmony of flavors that make us psyche.Coffee rich, price fair,In this haven rare,Perfection this place does strike.“
“Giving 5 stars because Dotty's is excellent at what they do... Even if many of the flavors are over the top and I don't actually like them. LoLI'm really loving the savory doughnuts though! I didn't think that they would be as good as they have been. :-)“
“Gather your Canada Goose and 3 carat diamond ring, because to enter this rarified coffee-lunch-shop air, you’ll need something to fit in. This place is a tremendous find, clearly with a chef from city-level fine dining. The chicken salad sandwich is fresh with an incredible array of fresh herbs in the mix and crunchy yet soft sandwich bread. You’ll surely not go wrong with a grain salad topped with chicken - super high quality meat - the difference is clear. I was also impressed by my matcha latte - not as much by the chocolate chip cookie. The grapefruit soda was also distinct with a hint of thyme and a perfect amount of sweet and bubble. I can hardly wait to return and enjoy the very best again.“
“Delightful visit to this bakery! The mocha cake was heavenly—moist, rich in flavor, and with the perfect balance of coffee and chocolate. Paired with their freshly brewed coffee, it was an absolute treat. Cozy ambiance and friendly staff added to the wonderful experience. A must-try spot for anyone looking for quality cakes and coffee. Highly recommend!“
“They had several great vegan options and the owner was very kind and interested in us having a good experience. The atmosphere is a little cramped but not claustrophobic. I loved the random assortment of books and plants all over. We thoroughly enjoyed our stop here!Dietary restrictions: Great vegan options!“
“Clean minimal shop with quality matcha products and great ice cream.Strawberry and earl grey swirl are my current go to after dinner in Chinatown, however it is a seasonal flavor so get it while you can. I’ve also had the hojicha float which was refreshing and had a deep roasted nutty flavor with an edge of bitterness. What I enjoy most about this place is the typical Asian compliment when it comes to dessert “not so sweet”.Surreal is quite trendy but I find myself becoming quickly tired of it due to amount, all the toppings, and just the overall sweetness of the ice cream whereas matcha Maiko has the perfect amount of sweetness to remind you it’s a treat but not to the point where halfway through you feel like need water or tea to tone down the sugar“
“I just want them to make my coffee and design my apartment ? the cappuccino is the smoothest that I've had in Philly and the decorum is exquisite. The price is very affordable for a cappuccino and it's CONSISTENTLY well made, which is rare for a coffee shop. Not to mention they're open on Christmas when everyone else is closed and I appreciate that. My 5 year old and I go and sit here for hours and write and read and laugh. It's an amazing atmosphere.“
“I’m biased because I’m ethiopian myself; however, everything about Alif is hella ethiopian, hella delicious. Love their missir (lentil) samosas and i could drink a whole liter of their buna (coffee)!I come here often and will keep coming here for the food and the vibes ??☕️“
“Excellent place to eat and drink (coffee, lattes, etc.). Ordered a SEC with 3 eggs ($8) as well as a 16 oz sugar free latte ($4.75). Both tasted great! Park in the tiny lot behind the building on Delaware Street or in front of the building (side entrance and exit) on S. Broad.“
“I've been here a few times, but this time it was to celebrate a birthday. The staff was excellent and went above and beyond to make the birthday special. Everyone was so helpful & friendly plus the service was outstanding. Will be back many more “
“I’ve come here multiple times in the past decade and the chaat and lassi never fail to hit the spot. I got a fig lassi and a paneer chaat, both were so refreshing and the owner is so kind and hospitable. While this spot is not in a great location, the lassis and food make it worth it!!!“
“We finally stopped by in the afternoon one day to grab a quick late brunch, and really enjoyed our experience! The cafe was really bustling and busy, obviously a local favorite. I had the bananas fosters crepe and it was amazing, truly recommend ordering it and getting a side of home fries. My husband had a breakfast sandwich and he loved it! The service was fast and the owner even came by to check on everyone in the cafe, bringing a cannoli (which was amazing) for each table. So glad we stopped by finally!“
“A true neighborhood gem! My go to order is a pork roll melt with tots and The Hulk smoothie with pineapple added. Have been eating here for over 4 years and always consistent. Great customer service. Worth making sure you have cash on hand!“
“Exceptional coffee shop if you like real coffee. Ordered a coffee just before they closed and they didn’t have anything on drip ready or fresh but had made plenty for a previous pour over and got some of their treehouse blend. Fantastic. I buy their beans online. Also highly recommend. They have some incredible tasting notes. Also very comfortable space at the time I went, not overcrowded or loud.“
“We've gone here for Friday lunches a few times in the past months and have ordered over half of the paninis they have available. Everything we've had from Torchwood is phenomenal, and I can't say that we've ever had a bad sandwich. It's quickly become one of our favorite places to pop out to during the week; plus, we love the music! The pineapple mango mint tea is a must try :)“
“A true marriage between a coffee shop and cocktail bar. They serve traditional café fare here, as well as signature flavored lattes, craft coffee drinks, and many cocktails with a coffee or tea twist. Every week, there's also a new special on the menu. They also allow guests to bring food, so you can cozy up with a drink and some bites and hang out late into the night (which we have done many times!)Vegetarian options: Almost all drinks are vegetarian, and vegan milk alternatives are available upon request.“
“On my way to the airport and stopped here for a quick breakfast before my flight and long day. I hear that this is the best in town. I also hear that everything is really good. We'll, we'll see.The menu is full of great choices. One caught my eye. Chip beef. I haven't had that in a long time. I thought I'd take a chance. I also ordered some eggs over med. Everything is made fresh. The dish came out pretty quick. The presentation was nice. The flavor of everything was really good, just as the guys next to me said. Seemed like everybody was a regular. This will be my go-to when in town and before flights. The service was good. The prices were nice. The place is old but clean. The ladies who were serving and cooking and prepping were all very nice.Yea, I recommend.“
“We’ve tried all the Ethiopian food in this area and this is the one that keeps us coming back. The food is sooooo good. Service is a little slow but every time we’ve been there it’s only 1 guy working and he’s working hard. We don’t mind the wait at all, we usually bring some cards or something to keep us occupied ? the restaurant is very clean. its BYOB so bring your drink of choice! I really love this place. I hope you try it.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options. I eat meat but went with 2 vegetarians and we shared everything. Eating vegetarian here still is sooooo satisfying.Wheelchair accessibility: This place is not wheelchair accessible. There’s a small set of about 4 stairs you have to walk down to get into the building.“
“What we ordered: Baker’s Basket, Continental Breakfast, French Omelet, and a hot latte.I’d recommend the Continental Breakfast if you’re indecisive or if you want a variety in one order, which was fun for me to try. I love the croissants here because they are not too flaky yet still buttery and fresh. However, the scone was too dry for my liking, and the toasted brioche was okay. It was a fun breakfast for us with friendly service.Be mindful of the parking as well, because you’ll need to parallel park and pay for the time you’re there. If you’re even a couple of minutes late, you may end up with a ticket, which was a painful experience for us.“
“Creative, cozy, delicious. Yesterday I had the Thai PB&J, and if it’s available when you go, I highly recommend it. It wasn’t my first time in here. I’ve enjoyed the wonderful, cozy, 90s-coffee-shop-in-a-romcom vibe on several occasions. The service is friendly and relaxed. The coffee is delicious. But it was that sandwich yesterday that made me finally sit down and write this 5-star review. This place is a gem!“
“Given the number of various establishments at this location that have come and gone over the last few decades, the fact that Vibrant has now been here well over two years speaks for itself. The Rittenhouse Square neighborhood was relatively coffee-free for years, and thankfully several places have popped up recently. This is the best of the lot. Coffees and baked goods are consistently excellent. Baristas are usually pleasant. Unless money isn’t a concern for you, however, be advised that a regular plain coffee is around $4, and prices go up from there, so Vibrant is not the best place to frequent often. The space itself is pretty tiny, there’s no real room to sit inside, which leads to lines out the door every weekend morning and when there’s an event going on in the Square. There are some small tables outside the entrance on Locust Street. That’s it, so by necessity business is mostly takeout. Worth it for an occasional treat/splurge.“
“The food, service and ambiance of this restaurant were excellent! All went above and beyond expectations. Very authentic, delicious Italian food, with very attentive and friendly staff, working hard for their customers. Coming here for dinner was a wonderful way to end my visit to Philadelphia!“
“I have had the pleasure to come and eat/ drink/ buy products! The Owner is amazing beautiful and her skin is flawless. I Love it! Check them out! Grab yourself a delicious smoothie. The classes are really dope if you want to go for your bday. Girlfriend day out attend a workshop. Congratulations on your 3 years anniversary. Many more to come“
“Sabrina’s has become my go to spot for breakfast, brunch, and lunch in my area. The food and atmosphere are always outstanding, whether sitting at a table inside, outside, or at the bar. The service is also great - our waitress recently at the Art museum location, Lauren, was very attentive and friendly, helping us navigate the specials and enjoy our experience. Highly recommend!“
“Forin on Coral St is my favorite lil space. The baristas here are the coolest, most down-to-earth folks who know their stuff. (Shoutout to Gab & Caleb, but seriously everyone there is a gem.) It is one of the few multi-roasters in Philly, meaning they don’t just have coffee from one roaster so there’s always delicious variety in your coffee. Not to mention, their specialty drinks are home runs every time. There’s room to sit if you want to read or book, the atmosphere and aesthetics are charming if you want to stay and chat, and the community that surrounds it is filled with some lovely humans. Definitely recommend Forin to anyone who’ll listen. You can find something for everyone, whether it be a kid-friendly hot chocolate, a nice single-origin drip for your coffee connoisseur friends, or a tasty mocha to keep you trucking through this capitalist hellscape — it’s a welcoming space for all.Dietary restrictions: So many vegan milks to choose from“
“What a Gem!!! Everything was fantastic. But really sets the cafe apart from ALL others is the Barista. A true ambassador of the Nona and Pops but also of Termini. I wish I had asked her name. She is the epitome of customer service and quite evident she loves her job and her employer. Give her a big raise, elevate her within the company to customer service trainer for all of your new employees.“
“SERIOUSLY good espresso on Penn’s campus. I take my espresso very seriously and this place does too. The baristas prep the espresso really well and the lattes, cortados, and cappuccinos are smooth, delicious, and flavorful. I recommend every coffee lover come here for a good drink and studying. I personally rank this among my favorites in the Ucity area.“
“I waltzed in here hungover af after a night out on Sansom St. It was the worst kind of hangover though. One of the sneak hangovers. The type of ones where you wake up and are like "damn I'm not even hung...I might just be like that..." then when you're walking down the stairs to go get a coffee you're like wow that hangover that heard me talkin all that mess. One of those hangovers where it so cunningly waits until you are planning your whole day out in your head of all the things you are going to get done, only to wait until both feet touch the earth to say "you sure about that buddy?" It's like the Sly Cooper of hangovers. Only real ones, my fellow PS2 players, will get that reference. All this to say, that hangover SNUCK me on the way to Java Company. I was just going to get a coffee, but knew I needed some sort of bread to help me fend off the sneak. We arrived and saw ample outdoor seating with beautiful, rustic chairs and tables. The quality of chairs and tables really can make or break a coffee shop. This place is what you think of when you think "cute coffee shop," I loved it. Upon approaching the order stand, I was debating what to get to fill up my tummy. My Lil Cuzzo suggested I get the Labneh as "it's really good.""The Lab-wha?" the Croatian Orangutan responded. She began to explain that it was some kind of yogurt spread on bread with cucumbers on top, and then saw my look of dire confusion and just pointed to it behind the little glass."That looks and sounds horrendous right now," I said. I meant that from my soul too it really did.I ended up getting an americano with oat milk and a plain multigrain bagel, Little Cuzzo ended up getting a dirty chai latte and the Labneh ahahahahahahaha. We sat in the corner and after some time, the waitress came with our items and shook my americano, as it looked black as TON 618, the most massive blackhole in the universe, and said "There is oat milk in there it just doesn't look like it." What am I supposed to say to that ahaha. There is still some debate to this day among Philadelphians on whether or not there was any oat milk in that americano. It is a chicken or egg scenario at this point.I tried Lil Cuzzo's Labneh, because I'll try anything once, and it was GAS. I had to eat every last word. I should have got the Labneh smh. I also tried her dirty chai latte and that was hittin too! I was sitting there with my arms crossed, staring at my plain bagel and americano with alleged oat milk and was like damn, I should have just got her order. Could never tell her that though you feel me? Lil Cuzzo's ego be crazy already!!I loved this place. GET THE LABNEH!IG @jnov_Tiktok @jnov__“
“Had a latte & breakfast sandwich. Was lucky to have gone on the weekends when their brunch truck was there and serving breakfast sandwiches. They were both so good I had the breakfast sandwich and it had something slightly sweet in it that had the perfect amount of sweet & savory. They had lots of indoor space and seating too so you didn’t feel too crowded or like you had to talk loudly over other people.“
“I'm not gonna lie, a little hard to find. But this is a diamond in the rough. It's hidden in the industrial section but the food is made to order and you can get much fresher. The OJ is fresh squeezed as well. I had an omelet with hash browns & toast. The best part, nothing was burnt, or overcooked. My friend also had an omelet with hash browns & toast. When I looked up, he had his plates clean off and stacked. He eats a little faster than me . Very good breakfast, I haven't tried the rest but I'll go again to keep experimenting with other dishes.“
