“Gilda is the best breakfast/lunch place in the city 100%. I have not had a pastry from there yet that has been one of the best I’ve ever eaten, the pasteis are seriously the best baked good I’ve ever had #1. The The sausage sandwich and the BEC are for sure unbelievably good, I don’t even like sausage but I willingly order it here. They have so many other menu items I haven’t even ordered yet that look incredible. Coffee is always delicious as well, plus the staff is super cool, very nice, and easy to talk too. This is the best breakfast/lunch/coffee place in the city of Philly by far IMO“

“I was highly recommended this place by a friend and I finally got around to visiting it yesterday! Truly an awesome little spot. Very cool and different from any other coffee place I’ve been to in Philly! Inside is a little corner area to shop for artisan items. But most importantly they have delicious, unique, and cheap coffee drinks. Will be coming back asap!!“

“I just discovered this place while staying at the Sheraton 2 blocks away. Great place for coffee, breakfast sandwiches, croissants, bagels, muffins, etc…Clean, friendly, and some tables for eating in while people watching through the large windows. Not hard to find at all.“

“The atmosphere and decor are clean and inviting. The coffee is perfect. But don’t come here without buying a sandwich. They are out of this world. The bread is so soft. The meats are top quality. The sandwiches are prepared right here and come out fresh and warm.“

“I’m not particularly fond of the hojicha, but the matcha lattes are generally quite good. However, the quality can vary depending on the barista. Sometimes, the matcha isn't mixed well or too much matcha powder is used, resulting in a powdery, grainy texture. On the bright side, the soft serve is excellent! I appreciate the creative new flavors they offer, but the classic matcha & ube swirl still remain my favorite.“

“We came for breakfast and we had some young kids(under 4), so we sat in the outside/back area. Nothing fancy back there, but it was perfectly fine. One of the owners was nice enough to come back and put on the TV to distract the kids. The tactic didn't work ? but I appreciated the gesture. Everything looked good, especially the huge crepe my buddy got. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on a croissant with bacon, which was very good. The lunch menu looked a bit more enticing to me, but it was probably too early though I didn't ask.

They are now open until 8pm and I have been trying to find a place with later hours ever since the pandemic as everything closes so early now. Thank you for extending your hours!“

“The best Algerian (north africain) restaurant in the region hands down, friendly staff, and their sandwiches are to die for especially the merguez one 5 stars ? all the way. everything was exquisite. I will definitely come back to try the couscous and all the other dishes they have.“

“This was my first time at High Street and I was super impressed. The food and service were truly outstanding! I will definitely be back soon! And a special thanks to our server, Linus! My only minor criticism is that the drinks came out slowly, but the attentiveness and the professionalism of the servers and staff more than made up for it. Also, there were three loud and boisterous diners seated in the booth behind us and we could hardly hear ourselves talk. Their large fits of frequent outbursts were very nerve wracking, to say the least. But it appeared that the other diners in the restaurant were using their inside voices.“

“No need to go to Chinatown. Fantastic service. The Pho, the broken rice dishes, and specialty dishes are always delicious. The beef stew with egg noodles is a menu highlight. Get a Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk or a smoothie or try a Rainbow Ice. You won't be disappointed except when they're closed.“

“Surprise find for us. Charming staff who answered all our questions about the food. Food was delicious, well prepared, and expertly packed to go. “Really cute cafe. Rare to have coffee shops open til 8 in philly. That’s definitely a plus for those looking to study or get work done. The chai latte was delicious! One of my favorite from a cafe. My only dislike is the chairs. The black rope chairs are really uncomfortable/lack support. But I’m glad there are other options for more sturdy chairs.“

“My sisters and I decided to stop in for some coffee after brunch. The man in front of us in line wanted a muffin. They were honest and said one felt hard and dry, so they suggested another flavor that wasn’t. That impressed us. Then they answered our questions about best selling latte flavors and what some flavors were. Not only were they informative and gave their personal suggestions, but they were very courteous and kind.“

“Started coming for trivia night on Tuesdays. We’ve made it a point to go every week we can now. I haven’t had a drink here I haven’t liked and I’m working my way through the menu. So far our favorites are the chai blossom and the rising sun. Their specials are also always so fun and tasty. It can get a bit crowded but it’s more of a lively than a cramped atmosphere. LOVE this place!!“

“I have been coming to TWR for years, and cannot recommend them enough.The sauna is a sanctuary! I love the infrared light and that you can choose the color for whatever need you want to target. I usually just let it cycle through all the colors to get a little bit of everything :)Walking in to the sauna room and seeing your name on the little board is a thoughtful touch and reminder that this is my time for myself. I always feel incredible after a sauna sesh at TWR!The tonic bar has so many delicious and nutrient-packed treats. I love the Cinnamon Roll smoothie!The merch is so cute, the products they carry in the shop are so cute and self-care focused.Their events are always so wonderful too. Overall, TWR is a calming, safe & welcoming self-care space for all. The vibes are immaculate!“
