This family owned restaurant has multiple member of their family, and it truly adds a personal touch. Joey was our server last night, and it was great to learn more about the restaurant - plus he made us laugh and just made our experience even better! Their outdoor dining is an awesome option - and the setting truly can’t be beat! We can’t wait to come back!“

I am no longer skeptical. We have dined here three times now and every dish has been incredible. Lobster teriyaki was two huge tails. Miso soup was beautiful. They have brought us comped soup/salad and special fish fry nuggets.

“We ordered sushi, soup, dumplings and the mango kani salad. Literally everything was amazing. My husband says it was the absolute best dumplings he’s ever had. Sushi was super fresh. Salad was light yet flavorful, great side dish with sushi.

We went on a Friday evening and it was VERY busy. I understand it’s a casual eatery but it needs to be more inviting when you walk in. If you’ve never been there, it’s super confusing to figure out the flow and how to order your food. We just sat down and waited for someone to take care of us. Waited about 15 minutes. But we once we were served, we were well taken care of and food came out fast.

We heard a lot of the take out orders saying they had been waiting for over an hour for their food. So clearly a better system is needed to balance the way orders are being taken care of.

But GREAT food! I would just recommend you sit down and eat in. You’ll get your hunger satisfied faster than take out.“

“The folks in this area were convinced that our sushi restaurants were great. They were wrong - until SU20 opened. Finally the real deal has arrived. Beautiful and generous plating, peak freshness and a creative menu of specialty rolls. Their desserts a perfection!“

“They have very fresh sashimi and delicious appetizers. Oysters were also fresh and the toro was one of the best i had in a while. The chefs said that the Uni was from Hokkaido. Uni just melted in my mouth.

“My family and I had an incredible dining experience tonight at Umai. We had a special, Kinmedai aka Golden Eye Snapper that was so fresh and tasty, out of this world good! We also had a treat with broiled tuna cheek that was also outstanding. Otoro was so velvety and rich, spicy hotate, sweet ebi, unagi, fried crabs, incredible sushi rolls, savory Akadashi (my son ordered a second it was so good) and everything else we ordered tonight was just incredible. “The variety of food and service at Poke It Up was very good. Honestly wish I'd tried it sooner! There are different varieties of poke bowls to select from or you can make your own. The fish was very fresh and came with a healthy portion of rice. The veggies and sauce complimented the meal and the serving size (for me) was quite large so easily came for two meals. Definitely recommend!“

“Entering their establishment, I immediately felt welcomed by the cozy ambiance and charming decor. Everything looked so good on the menu that it took me some time to decide. Never was I rushed. We ordered several things and portions were gigantic with lovely presentation. The chicken katsu was a bit dry but everything else was great. We were surprised by the complimentary sashimi garnish on one of our choices, and were also presented with a small beautiful wooden box with chopsticks. “Highly recommend if you go to the Plymouth meeting mall. This place has been here for at least 20 years and is one of the last eatery still standing. I used to go when I was in my teens, now when I take my daughter to the mall to play I have to get some. Always the chicken teriyaki with extra chicken and sauce. So happy they are still open and food tastes exactly how I remember.“

“The food was incredible, especially for the area. We ordered a bit of everything and our favorite was the sushi, really great quality. The service was ok, our waiter seemed rushed. It was our first time there so we were not familiar with the menu. Instead of helping us he walked away and said “I’ll give you more time”. Not a big deal but it would have been helpful. Overall the hot plates had good flavor and the portions were ok. A bit on the higher price range for Chinese food but the quality was worth it. The only thing we did not like was the wonton soup, the portions were two small and not meant to be shared like in most Asian restaurants. Overall I would recommend to visit and try their Chow Fun and sushi which were our favorites.

Awesome place to take that special someone or the family. Everything about Izu is consistent, so you're getting what you pay for every time. Very good menu selections. How many rolls can you consume in one sitting? How many are Izu willing to make? Remember to let someone else pour your sake for you!“

“Out of all the rice cake I’ve had I love this places style so much, mild spice and the udon + the rice cake is perfect. So thankful we are blessed with little gems like this even outside of big cities. May they prosper forever and continue to make wonderful food.“
