“We recently discovered Oak, just a half mile from our home, and it’s truly a hidden gem in an area with limited dining options. From the moment we walked in, the experience was exceptional. Our bartender, Zach, was welcoming, knowledgeable, and offered fantastic recommendations—including the Steak and Eggs for brunch, which exceeded all expectations. The steak was cooked to perfection and paired beautifully with the eggs—a dish I had never tried before but will definitely be ordering again. My husband enjoyed the BLT Eggs Benedict, which was equally impressive. The thick-cut bacon, perfectly poached eggs, and flavorful hollandaise made for an unforgettable dish. The service throughout our visit was outstanding, and when asked for recommendations, Zach confidently told us that everything on the menu is great—and from what we tasted, we absolutely believe it. If we could give Oak a 10 out of 10, we would. For anyone in the area or just passing through, we highly recommend stopping by. “I am a local truck driver. As I finished my last delivery almost 2 hours from home. I google “subs near me”. This place popped up. Wasn’t too far out of my way. And I didn’t have a trailer so I went off to find this place. (Small shops are the best in my opinion), the Italian sub on a fresh baked roll was amazing. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area. “I chose this place for pizza because of the excellent reviews. I was not disappointed. It was my first time here, and Nathan greeted me with a smile and a pleasant demeanor. He took my order for a pepperoni pizza. However, when my pizza was served, it did not have pepperoni on it as I thought I had ordered. The young lady who brought my food out (also very nice) clearly showed me that my receipt was for a cheese pizza. No big deal, as the pizza looked delicious and I was hungry. No more than 5 minutes went by when Nathan came to my table with a complimentary cannoli. He apologized for me not having a pepperoni pizza. Customer service above and beyond! The pizza was excellent. I will return.“

“I normally don’t write reviews , however this place is a local Gem and deserves such a wonderful review. I didn’t even realize they were there and we happened to give them a try . So glad we did . Their prices were so reasonable and affordable , and the food was amazing . I have 5 young daughters and they said it’s the best pizza they ever had . I couldn’t even get a pic of them they were eating so fast. The wings are phenomenal, and the fries were so on point. I’m fairly confident their croutons on the salads were homemade as well. The pizza tasted so good, by far my new favorite go too! The owner saw us trying to cut the pizza into smaller pieces for my two year old twins, he actually came over and sliced the pizza into small bites for them to help me out feeding my family and then turned the TV on in the corner to a Disney movie so my girls could enjoy it while eating. He genuinely cares about the quality and taste of food they put out as well as his customers and their family’s . He even offered my girls popsicles for dessert! I love this place and highly advise anyone local or heading past to stop in. All the food we had was so on point and my family now goes their and agreed as well! “So this is a mixed review. I am older and a "wing eating pro". Divino's wings are among the best in the area. Ample size, well seasoned, cooked just right. Their "cheesesteaks, not so much. I received a very excellent roll with very little "hamburger" no discernible cheese and little onion flakes. It is almost as if it was sent out without the preparation process being finished. It certainly was not noticed by the server. I should have sent it bask. My bad! 2 STARS...The servers, except for that, were very professional and cordial. I also tried the Stromboli on a different visit - and it was excellent. I asked for extra mozzarella - and I GOT it. Ok, let's boost this rating up a notch and 1/2. “Visiting York from out of town. I had an inch to eat some Stromboli like one does in Pennsylvania. We were lucky enough Shakey Jakes was open until 11. My team and I visited and most of us ordered a Boli. We were told a small would feed one person. So I ordered a large. Holy Stromboli, this thing was huge. I only got through half but I brought it home so I can enjoy it for the next two days. It was so good I felt like it was sent from heaven above. This was EASILY the best food I have ever eaten in Pennsylvania. I can't recommend Shakey Jakes enough. Can't wait to go there again in 3 days when I finally finish my large Boli.“

They were patient with GrubHub and my husband as all 3 worked together in rectifying the situation (which was no fault of the restaurant). “I used to eat at pizza hut a lot as a kid, but as I got older and moved away, the dine in pizza huts seemed to dry up and shrivel away. On a whim, my wife and I drove to the nearest dine in pizza hut to see if the magic was still there. After an hour drive, this pizza hut met every one of my nostaliga-filled expectations.

The food was absolutely as good as I remembered; I got a pan pepperoni pizza and it was every bit as good as it was when I was a kid. Besides that, the decor looks straight out of the 2010's. That's not to say anything looked old or grungy - it absolutely didn't! - rather, it felt like a well-maintained love letter to pizza hut's heyday, which is exactly what I wanted. Lastly, the service was wonderful. Our server was attentive and kind, which is all you can ask for!

“Well, I have always liked the food including the tuna salad, Italian subs and the sub rolls... but... They need to seriously not cram hot food into bags with cold subs and they need to not put cold subs anywhere near the pizza over. Everything about our cold subs last week with lettuce, tomatoes and onion was warm, soggy and squishing out all over. It was a gross disaster. Guy only looked et me confused when I asked why my cold subs felt hot and why the hot fries were in the bag with the cold subs. I just sighed and left.“

For this location specifically, they do a great job.

The managers actually care about making things right, their drivers are always lighting fast, and I have no specific complaints about the location. So four stars for them.

“IMO this place has the best fried chicken in town. Used to be Crown Fried Chicken until they changed the name to Pizza Bolis. But I love their chicken. It’s salty and I love salty chicken. I don’t recommend their tenders tho. They’re always overcooked. But their classic fried chicken is the bomb. I always get 3 legs and 3 wings w/ side of fries. Their fries are shoe string fries which are also seasoned. If you like heavily seasoned fried chicken then this is your place. However the atmosphere is not the greatest. It’s always crowded because it’s a small waiting area, and sometimes there’s drama there. On 2 different occasions that I was there, a gun was pulled on someone and a fight broke out right in the middle of the small waiting area. Luckily was able to get out without getting hurt. But I wouldn’t recommend coming here late at night. But they are open late, so that’s a plus if you get late night munchies and need somewhere to eat that’s open late.“

“I've been here a few times and have ordered out a few dozen times. The food here is good if not very good in my opinion. The Cheese Steak is very good especially on their Turnover bread. The only complaint is a couple of times I felt they under performed on the amount of cheese steak and toppings. The Fries are very good and I've always got nice hot salted just right. The Hamburgers are very good and big enough with fries to fill you up. The pizzas Ive had have been great as well and my girlfriend likes the Chicken, Bacon Ranch one the most and she is not a pizza person. Being from the Philippines she is more of fish eater than American Food. She also like their Chicken Cheese Steak again she doesn't eat red meat at all because in the Philippines she never really ate it, it was to expensive. They have a great selection of beer too, if you go to pick up a little early you can drink something while waiting. Long review but I wanted to get one out since I have always liked my food from there so far. I saw a few really bad reviews about the owner which shouldn't have much to do with their food. Order pickup and you won't even know who the owner is. People get drunk in bars and get kicked out then give a bad review since they evidently did something to draw the owners attention.“
