“Jodi ( bartender, cook, waitress, cashier) was pleasant and energetic eager to work. Clean dive bar, pool table, decent burgers. There's updated menus but prices are still great. I'll be back to try the chili, I'll bring some ”
“Picture if you can going back in time to an era when there was major industry in the valley. Elrama Generating Station was running full bore as well as West Penn Power and the mines were open supplying coal to these giant power houses Well that era is gone!!! But not the people, they still come get drunk and swing down memory lane. A patron played a song on the juke box " Country Road" by John Denver. Everyone in the place sang along and smiled a simple song for simple people Beware of the bartender though she skims 5/30/2018 The sign is back on!!!! Come on in, enjoy a cold beer on a hot day”
“This old school house serves up a delicious lunch menu. (Go to White Dove spa upstairs first.) Their Turkey Devonshire uses real roasted turkey (unlike a famous downtown venue.) Highly recommend the soup & lunch salad. Don't miss the homemade pastry selections!”
“We came here for my sister's birthday and ordered crab Rangoon, fried pork belly, vegetable samosa, momo dumplings, red, yellow, and green curries, and also the spicy noodles. The crab Rangoon and fried porkbelly were our table's favorites and the momo dumplings were super tender. The fried chicken breast on the spicy noodles were very tender ? overall a fantastic experience at a super friendly family owned restaurant. Would highly recommend!”
“best breakfast i’ve had in pgh! place was packed when we arrived but the line moves quickly. we had our orders taken within 10-15 minutes and food came shortly after. excellent service and AMAZING food & coffee. definitely will be ”
“Everything is amazing - the drinks, food, service, ambiance. It’s been a while since I’ve come across a cafe in Pittsburgh that has it all - highly recommend!”
“Absolutely delicious and server was so nice!We loved the tandoori chicken, cheesy garlic naan, masala fries and paneer tikka masala!Dietary restrictions: Good options for vegan and vegetarianKid-friendliness: There were families with children”
“ECHT is an eclectic yet laid back spot where you can try great food and catch up with friends or enjoy some solo dining. The physical space is intriguiging to look at, and they have a wide variety of items including but not limited to coffee, tea, cocktails, and breakfast and lunch fare.”
“A truly unique atmosphere! Had a cigar & whiskey in the cigar lounge which was a really unique (speakeasy) like experience.Dining room was very comfortable. It’s an open concept but it’s not loud. Menus are tablets which can dial in allergies or certain profiles you’re looking for with food, wine, liquors & cigars. You can tell a lot of thought went into the little details. Which is impressive.Dinner- venison loin was cooked perfectly & everything that was on the plate tasted great. Sommelier provided great wine recommendations for courses. Server was outstanding. Can’t wait to go back!”
“This was my first time here. I highly recommend. The environment was friendly and full of different groups of people having a blast. Some were watching the game on the big TV's, some were playing the available board games. The music was poppin'!!! People of all ages were there which I thought was cool. Everyone was having a blast and I will be back. Staff was friendly and helpful!”
“Clean and colorful, all-gender friendly, delicious coffee cakes, very nice owner. He really has a sense of community and is using his space to do good in the community through neighborhood clean-ups, chess events for all levels, and more. Check it out.”
“Dawn was such a cheerful person, greeting us immediately and talking to us like old friends. Was a great first trip and we will be back! Many flavors to choose from!”
“Best place for coffee in all of the South Hills.Reginald’s has a wonderful selection of coffee drinks and beans to purchase for home. My favorite thing about Reginald’s is the staff. Talk about nice and personable. Can’t get this at Starbucks, at least not in my experience. Their little gift shop of trinkets make great gift ideas, too. Felt Like it By Mary makes these fun pierogi pillows that are on my wishlist this X-Mas.Dietary restrictions: Oat milk options.Parking: The parking lost is getting a makeover. Hoping this will free-up more spots. Sometimes we park on the street. No big deal, though.Kid-friendliness: Very patient and friendly with kids.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs.”
“Genuinely the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. I would’ve taken a better photo if I knew how much I was about to love it. I don’t know how it was made to be so flavorful, but it was absolutely delicious. So many breakfast joints just slap together ingredients onto a bagel/bread and it doesn’t meld together at all. But this was perfect! You could definitely tell it was made with quality ingredients. The cheese and bacon were especially delicious. I added guacamole and that tasted excellent too. Service was great as well. Just be expected to wait a little bit if you come on the weekends. It can get crowded. Will definitely be back soon.”
“Took my mom here for dinner tonight after the recommendation of a friend. I got the pork chop with mashed potatoes and carrots and she got the meatloaf. The food was excellent, the staff was very attentive and nice. We ended are meal with a piece of the baklava cheesecake (honestly the best piece of cheesecake I've ever had), before the check was even brought my mom was already making plans to bring her brother and his wife. We will definitely be returning and bringing friends highly recommend.”
“Let me start by saying they have great pizza and their hot wings were great! The place is small so it's kinda hard to get a seat. Their also located on a cobble stone which sucks to drive and park on BUT with all of that said, people keep going there because it's good food. Great group of guys working there as well.”
“Vegetarian options: All of the burgers can have a vegetarian patty swapped.Kid-friendliness: There were lots of kids when I went but I wouldn't really recommend for kids. The only kids food item is a junior burger and the environment isn't really kid-friendly.”
“Had a great meal here with super friendly service! I will definitely return. Very reasonable prices and scrumptious food! Thanks for a great experience. The friendly attention of the waitress was an added pleasure.”
“Our first time here, in from out of town. The menu is fantastic, and everything we tried was great. Amanda was very helpful in explaining everything, letting us know what to expect from certain smoothies or juices, how long to expect things to last after taking it home, etc. In addition, she made some great recommendations. Everyone working was in a great mood, and it was a good environment overall. Can’t wait to come back on our next trip to the area!”
“great experience eating at The Woods House. the staff was fun and friendly and atmosphere couldn’t be beat. we will definitely be returning; this is a hidden gem in Pittsburgh.”
“Where do I begin? Have you ever had a taste of something that sends you into straight euphoria? I’m talking eyes rolling, toes curling, mouth salivating, and body shaking perfection. That’s the feeling you get when you taste any one of the puddings from here * the cookie butter is my personal favorite* , the Oreo and banana pudding are definitely equally as delicious. The CHEESECAKES here will literally make you willing to slap your mama for another slice. Creamy, light, baked nicely, perfect crust, and always the most delicious unique flavors !!The cupcake flavors she has are always incredible and the icing is the best I’ve had from anywhere!… if that doesn’t sell you I dare you to just walk in to the building, it’s absolutely adorable!! If you get the privilege to meet the owner , well , you’ll probably be making a review similar to this .. haha, I live a decent drive away, and the location does have a bit of traffic flow but I tell you , her charisma, kindness, soft spoken voice , her welcoming and embracing personality will make up for all of it. I promise you it does. Give this business a try and take some to a friend, tell them to thank you later!!!”
“Live in Liberty Boro got a flyer in mail. Was hungry & I drive past daily, so I called & ordered for pick up. The young lady who took my order was so awesome & gave excellent advice on what was good. We ordered Spanakopita that was flakey, buttery delicious. Pita with dips was devious and was a great choice with the enormous Rodos Gyro. The Gyro had enough delicious meat to make 4 separate gyros, best I had in a long time. The olive-cheese plate had so much deliciousness. Great quality food. Best of the best. My husband had the Mike's Lamb burger & fries & he said it was fabulous. We will definitely be eating dinner here again many times! Best Gyro & Greek food in Pittsburgh. Thank you Rodos Greek Cafe. In our economy it's awesome when you get what you paid for & the quality is the best.Beckie & John Besseck”
“We’ve been here a few times already. Each time was a great experience! Staff is super friendly, food is really good, especially the pizza!! We love the variety of the beer, so many good choices! We will be visiting more this summer!”
“We own a masonry business so we are always on the go. Didnt have time to cook so we decided to stop and pick up some hoagies and salad. First time there and it won't be our last! Everything was fresh and delicious! Everyone who works there were so kind. We will be back!”
“My mom & I love to visit different coffee shops and this one was definitely one we will come back to! The atmosphere is cozy from the moment you walk in with different homemade local arts/goodies to browse. There are lots of different options to choose from as far as coffee/tea flavors go. I ended up getting the Baristas Choice of “Caramel Brownie Latte” and my mom got the Seasonal “Luck Charms”. Both were so yummy!! Would recommend and will be back again ?”
“I’m relatively new to the south hills area and I’ve tried at least 20 pizza joints and this one is by far the best. The New York style was awesome. This is definitely gonna be my go too for now on”
“Great place, great food, great staff. You can't go wrong with booking your private event or just going out for a nice dinner here. A well deserved Five stars across the board.”
“"Rockway Pizza: Where Pepperoni Knots are the Twist You Never Knew You Needed!I stumbled upon Rockway Pizza craving something different, and boy, did they deliver—literally! The Pepperoni Knots had me tied up in deliciousness from the very first bite. The portion sizing was spot-on, leaving me feeling satisfied but already planning my next visit. And as for the taste? Let's just say my taste buds did a happy dance that could rival any TikTok trend. Rockway Pizza, you've officially become my new twist on pizza night!"Did I make this using ChatGPT you may be asking yourself, maybe ?♂️?♂️?But no seriously you need to try this place out it’s fantastic and the service is amazing, not even to mention the atmosphere with a classic pizzeria vibe and like classic jazzy music”
“Al's is my first ice cream shop since moving to Pittsburgh and no reason to go anywhere else! We started off with a couple of great, juicy hotdogs! My sundae was so large, I guess because of it's deliciousness it was easy to finish! The flavor and the portion sure beats where I came from. Thanks Al's.Wheelchair accessibility: Nice ramp from upper lot”
“Tim's is a great spot for great food. The chops are excellent. Very inexpensive and you might just bump into somebody interesting. Always a great experience!”
