“A couple of nights ago I was at the restaurant with two other people. Wonderful ambience , exceptional service. I am only giving this one negative comment so that someone would be aware that the kitchen staff needs to be educated to make the dishes match what the menu states. We had an appetizer and each of us ordered a different meal. The others meals were excellent and perfectly done. I ordered the stuffed sweet potato with a special topping and crispy shallots. The skin on the bottom of the baked sweet potato was burned. No big deal I could scrape the potato away from that. The shallots, however, were not even close to crispy. They were soggy, limp and bitter. I was disappointed but did not want to make a fuss In front of my friends. We had tasty cocktails and I repeat excellent service. I will be back and will recommend the Tavern to friends.“

“You can’t beat a meal at Knoll Run Golf Course. I believe now it is officially called The Double Eagle at Knoll Run. I’ve been here more that a few times & have never had a bad meal or experience. They have some awesome hamburgers & pasta dishes. I was craving a deli sandwich this day & was interestedto see what they offered. I saw a Philly steak sandwich and know that was the winner. Our seating options were tables or at the bar, I figured a beer with my sandwich would be nice, so we chose the bar. The barmaids/servers were very cool, we had playful banter & they were very friendly. They took our drink & food orders & had our beers out quick. A few minutes later our orders were up, my Philly steak was perfectly prepared. A nice heaping of steak, lots of cheese, nicely sautéd onions on a toasted hoagie bun. I very much enjoyed my sandwich & beverage , even had a couple more beers for good measure. I must say that I really liked the atmosphere as well, a good crowd of locals, everyone was in a good mood & it felt like cool local bar. I noticed at least 5 TV’s, so definitely a good place to enjoy the game & great food. The bar was also properly stocked, I’m certain that they have your favorite beer or liquor. Again, this is one of my local haunts, so stop in and check it out, you won’t be disappointed.“

“There’s really nothing negative to say about this place. They’re fast at getting the food out to you once you place the order. The food is fantastic! Some of my favorites consists of the chicken nugget snack, which they have some of the best nuggets. The pizza egg rolls once in a while, are good! The subs are great! They are always filled with fresh bread, meats, condiments, etc. The price is also worth what you pay for! Not too expensive for what you’re buying! Definitely worth it.“

“My wife and I went there for lunch she got the fish sandwich and fries I got the Philly cheese steak and fries both came with a pickle which was a nice treat. Both meals came hot and delicious. Be hungry the portions are a really nice size at a terrific price. They great you at the door they tell you to choose where you want to sit they've got tables or booths. “Stopped in today, with my family. I was using a knee scooter, from a recent surgery. They only had two young ladies working. I must say Haven was amazing. She seated us immediately in a great spot seeing my scooter. She was running food, seating customers, taking care of the delivery pick ups and manning the bar. She did all this while being pleasant with a smile on her face. This girl deserves 👏. My appetizer was great but the main course not so much. I'm not sure if the kitchen was short staffed. I didn't say anything because of how crazy it was. That is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars today.“

“We come here every year when we are Christmas shopping and also my birthday( it’s a family tradition for the past 10 years ) . Every time we come this place is amazing. The food and the service. However today was the cherry. Our server was phenomenal and our food was the best. We just wanted to say thank you. It’s hard to find service like we had and food that is made that well. Our server was Kelly R. She is amazing! My husbands filet was cooked to a perfect rare , my fish and chips was excellent. My 10 year old tried clam chowder today for the first time and each bite he made a “mmmmm” sound. He loved it. Thanks to all involved in an excellent experience“
