“A couple of nights ago I was at the restaurant with two other people. Wonderful ambience , exceptional service. I am only giving this one negative comment so that someone would be aware that the kitchen staff needs to be educated to make the dishes match what the menu states. We had an appetizer and each of us ordered a different meal. The others meals were excellent and perfectly done. I ordered the stuffed sweet potato with a special topping and crispy shallots. The skin on the bottom of the baked sweet potato was burned. No big deal I could scrape the potato away from that. The shallots, however, were not even close to crispy. They were soggy, limp and bitter. I was disappointed but did not want to make a fuss In front of my friends. We had tasty cocktails and I repeat excellent service. I will be back and will recommend the Tavern to friends.“

“Had to change my review... After placing a mid size order for our office, they forgot to include a hamburger for one of my guys. When I called back to have them take it off my order / CC I was met with resistance. Not with the fact they forgot my guys burger, but they couldn't take it off the charge. They wanted me to drive back pick up another burger or come back and get cash. Problem is we have lunch breaks if 30 min. This was 15 min one way... 30 round trip. Lunch was long gone by then. The owner called later and gave me nothing but flack... No more. You lost business by not taking care of a simple issue. I'd have been fine stopping by later and picking up cash for what I spent, but the attitude towards a customer he gave is rediculous. Sad, will never go back.“

“This place is of Godly decent. This place has changed my life for the better. My eyes have been opened to what a sub should taste and look like thanks to the god-like figure that is Rod. Thank you so much for your dedication to the art of Subs. If I was in Los Angeles and I needed a good lunch I would walk on bare feet to Hot Rods. This is the best Sub shop on Earth. Jody must have hands of gold because the taste of a Hot-Rod is the closest to the feeling of hugging an Angel. 100/10.

“You can’t beat a meal at Knoll Run Golf Course. I believe now it is officially called The Double Eagle at Knoll Run. I’ve been here more that a few times & have never had a bad meal or experience. They have some awesome hamburgers & pasta dishes. I was craving a deli sandwich this day & was interestedto see what they offered. I saw a Philly steak sandwich and know that was the winner. Our seating options were tables or at the bar, I figured a beer with my sandwich would be nice, so we chose the bar. The barmaids/servers were very cool, we had playful banter & they were very friendly. They took our drink & food orders & had our beers out quick. A few minutes later our orders were up, my Philly steak was perfectly prepared. A nice heaping of steak, lots of cheese, nicely sautéd onions on a toasted hoagie bun. I very much enjoyed my sandwich & beverage , even had a couple more beers for good measure. I must say that I really liked the atmosphere as well, a good crowd of locals, everyone was in a good mood & it felt like cool local bar. I noticed at least 5 TV’s, so definitely a good place to enjoy the game & great food. The bar was also properly stocked, I’m certain that they have your favorite beer or liquor. Again, this is one of my local haunts, so stop in and check it out, you won’t be disappointed.“

“Went for happy hour on a Sunday. Not super busy, the bartender was also our waitress. The $2 margaritas on special were great. Had the beer cheese pretzels, they are so good. Fiance had fiesta lime chicken, and he said it was fire. ? Waitress was attentive, and the food was good. My only gripe is about the building itself. Lots of different shows on the flat screens but no subtitles. Who wants to watch shows with no sound and no subtitles? Then the bathroom was pretty gross. Toilets didn't flush correctly and there were broken paper towel dispensers. Overall the inside of the building is really dated and needs some tlc.“

“We have an excellent lunch. My daughter and I had the mini tenderloin sandwiches with fries. The tenderloin was cooked to perfection. My wife had roasted chicken and hers was prepared perfectly too. I also added the lobster bisque. It had small pieces of lobster and was the best bisque that I have ever had. The service was excellent. The atmosphere is very relaxing and I would not hesitate to come back here the next time we are in DC.“

“I live in Bowling Green Ky. and was in town visiting family when I mentioned how bad pizza and wings are in BG so my parents took me here. It is kind of small inside but clean and the server had a great personality. I got hot wings and pizza and let me tell you this place was worth the 7-hour drive.

“My faith in wing preparation has been restored. During the pandemic, most place I tried wings at, the wings were very dry, which means they were overcooked, and I mean a LOT. But, Town and country has renewed my faith in the process. Their wings are juicy, yet fully cooked(no pink or red near the bone). I'm not a HOT wing fan, and their mild buffalo are outstanding, but a friend I produced me to a new dry rub that is even better. I'm a huge Cajun fan, and their Cajun dry rub hit the spot dead center. Even though it's a dry rub, it doesn't dry out the meat, which is huge. I most definitely be back to my new favorite wing joint, ESPECIALLY if they put Blue Moon on tap(hint, hint).“

I asked him about the steak (normally always get the bourbon chicken & shrimp) he said it was super good so I tried it! My goodness, I’ve never had a steak melt in my mouth the way this one did. We had gone to Longhorn steakhouse the night prior actually and for them being known for their steak they disappointed me. Thankfully now I know I can get good steak here!
