“Nice BBQ spot in the cut. It is a spot for to-go. When I opened the door the cook what there to greet me. I ordered BBQ Brisket Sandwich w/ Pork & Beans and Mac & Cheese. Cornbread came with it. The BBQ sauce was nice and sweet and savory. Good taste. I'll say I've taste that sauce before for sure. Brisket was a delicious and well seasoned. Mac & Cheese was okay. It should use different cheese and seasonings but I still ate it. Pork & Beans was my favoriteeee - nice sweet & smokey sauce for the pork and beans. Cornbread was not that good. Service was great! I would definitely come back and try other items on the menu. Nice location.“

“I know seafood establishments are popping up all over the place now, and I can say I think I've just about tried every one of them. I must say this has been one of the best ones that I've had thus far. The crabs' legs were fresh, the shrimp was a nice size and not overcooked ?, the broccoli was nice and crisp, the corn was amazing, the potatoes was just right and the overall seasoning was perfect ??. And the customer service was excellent. Will definitely recommend this restaurant as one of the best seafood spots in Philly. Hat's off to the cook, owner, and staff.“

“Delicious, ? ? spicy, savory. Vegan or not the food is wowzers! This time we got jerk chicken platter and BBQ chicken platter with sides of sweet potato, plantains, collard greens and cabbage. My husband asked more than once is this "chicken?" Soooo good.“

“I have no complaints, I purchased the whiting platter with shrimp....4 nice size whiting and 4 nice sized shrimp with cabbage and fries for a very nice price of 19.00. Customer service was great, the food was hot and fresh. I consider myself to have a hearty appetite and I couldn't finish it all, I'll have the rest for breakfast in the morning. That's the best food for the price and great customer service, I'll be back to try something else definitely!!!Parking: I found parking across the street.“

“I love the ambience here! They have something going on almost every night, live bands, open mic, etc. the staff was very nice & pleasant. It was open mic night and the artist were all great. I think the food is a little on the salty side. I would return to see if maybe it was just that night or if other options may fit me better.“

“My cousin referred me to this restaurant and I see why!!! The food was amazing. Real down home soul food. I ordered the sticky wings, cabbage and mac & cheese and my sister ordered baked salmon, cabbage, rice and mac and cheese. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The atmosphere gives you the old school vibes with the dim lighting, cozy eat-in area and pictures of the people and community they serve; each picture tells a story. Definitely going back. If you're in the Germantown area go check this place out!!!! “Today was my first time ordering from this restaurant.I want to start with the lady at the counter taking orders, she was extremely pleasant and professional, awesome vibes from everyone I seen behind the counter. Thank you, it’s nice to step into an establishment and not be hit with a bunch of workers who have attitudes. I knew I would be back off this alone!We ordered 2 rib platters one with yams the other Mac n cheese and both platters had greens. The ribs OMG the ribs were so tender just melted in your mouth, would have been nice to taste more seasoning however they were delicious I will order them again. The yams…I’m not sure what I think about them, first time for me with the pineapple mixed in yams a little sweet. I will need to try them again…the collard greens, to me didn’t taste like they were seasoned, would have been great to have some smoked turkey meat or even flavor of the smoked meat. I thought they were bland! What I will say about those collard greens they were cleaned well, I could taste it! The cornbread was delicious and the Mac and cheese must of been good because my husband didn’t say otherwise. He also did like the greens and was very satisfied with the ribs as well.I can’t wait to go back and try other items on their menu.“

“I had the chicken steak and the Jon Burger. The chicken was well trimmed and uniformly diced. The pieces were nicely seasoned and seared. The onions and peppers were seasoned and carmelized. The sauce and cheese added more tangy and spicy and sweet. The meat lasted as long as the roll, which was nice and buttery.I had the Jon Burger immediately after, but it deserve to be appreciated on its own. The turkey patty was thick, the chewing was good, and my taste buds sensed new things even after all the flavors of the chicken steak. I’m coming back to try the rest.Kid-friendliness: The pieces of chicken are bite-sized, uniform and very tender. The ground turkey is uniformly moist and well seasoned.“

“I ate food from here once before and it was good so I made sure next time I was around that neighborhood I would go there again and let me say it did not disappoint.. the chicken was juicy/crispy.. The Mac and cheese ?? and lastly the string beans with smoked turkey were average at best but overall it’s was worth the $20??“

“The chicken wings was good and freshly cooked. 10/10 Potato salad was pretty good But it was over powered with celery seeds. Less celery seeds.7/10I asked for collard greens and received green beans. The greens beans was a 6 on a scale of 1-10.“
