“I ordered from here for a lunch I was providing for work. The order was done quickly and packed with care (no spills, leaks, grease coming through etc., I provide a lot of meals and you’d be surprised how many places pack sloppily, not here). Everything looked great and got rave reviews. It was a good mix of food, hoagies, brisket sandwiches, pizza and salads, everything was fresh and everyone enjoyed. I spoke with the owner while picking up and he let me know that daily they make their own soups (he let me sample and they were great!), homemade bread and he cooks the brisket himself. Although it’s Pizza City, the menu is a wide variety and I will be back for future work needs as well as my own.“

The bar always is a great place to sit and chat with the locals and neighbors. Pizza is spot on as well as the full thoughtful and tasty menu. “This is a fabulous local restaurant and if I lived in the neighborhood I would be there at least twice a month. I was hosting some out-of-town visitors and we enjoyed between the three of us, two plates of pasta and a caprese salad and it was more than enough food and we also enjoyed our red and white BYOB wines. “Our first visit to La Ingrata and we had a wonderful experience. Co-owner Karla talked us through the menu and provided great service and conversation throughout the meal. I opted for a special of the day - pork pieces with skin still attached cooked in an amazing salsa verde, served with warm house-made tortillas, rice, and beans. So delicious eaten taco-style with a just-right hot sauce. My wife had a shrimp dish in mildly spicy tomato sauce and side salad, also delicious. We started with the house-made guacamole which was outstanding, along with fresh in-house tortilla chips. BYOB meant we enjoyed the meal with our own beers. “The best pizza within 35 minutes of my residence! Great sauce, wonderful cheese, tasty crust. My only complaint is the thickness of the crust, it's too doughy/thick especially at the ends. Next time I order, I'm going to see if they can use medium size dough and stretch to a large pie.“

Let's start with the great service from their wait staff. Izzy, Gabriel, and Sarah were my main wait staff, BUT all the wait staff help each other. So if Izzy, Gabriel, or Sarah are busy taking care of other customers, their co-workers just jump right in and take care of your questions and/or needs quickly. And the FOOD IS SO AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!! ? ? I LOVE LOVE LOVE their freshly made Garlic Knots that you get when you sit down. Ordered the Caesar salad which was a great surprise to the tastebuds, and the pizza was just so damn delicious. The service and atmosphere was perfect. “This was an interesting find in the Huntingdon Valley area. My chicken rollatini was delicious along with the side vegetables. Unfortunately, my husband's strip steak was not very tender. We wouldn't recommend ordering that. The tiramisu was delicious. It was a very nice atmosphere and even though it was filled with people we could still talk at our table. The service could have been better. We waited longer than we wished for the waiter to come take our order, and to ask about dessert. We may try again when it's less crowded and try something else on the menu.“

“In tonight again after some time away, sitting at the bar, Elvis the host offered a warm friendly greeting at the door. On Friday night Andy is bartending, friendly and great service. The location is excellent in the 1400 block of Chestnut in Center City Philadelphia. Just around the corner from mass transit, city hall and many things you will enjoy, It's connected to the W Hotel. The dining room is comfortable but the music is sometimes loud and generic like elevator music. On a Sunday morning Joseph G. was my server and he too was friendly and attentive, there were very few customers in. The menu is limited but you will find something for everyone. For Dinner on Friday I had Risotto with butternut squash, it was good, not strong flavor of the squash. On Saturday I enjoyed the meatballs, they were delicious and full of flavor. I have heard a number of guests mention how they look forward to coming to Philly end enjoying their meatballs. Multiple nights I enjoyed the TORTA AL CIOCCOLATO it is covered in chocolate ganache, comes with pistachio crumbles and pistachio gelato. This is in my opinion, the BEST dessert in Philadelphia. The staff from the door to the bar to the dining room and management is excellent, focused on your individual experience making every visit memorable and a special occasion.“

“Food is really good I got the fettuccine Alfredo, I got a small pizza half pep that they forgot to deliver with door dash. And a cake … my dasher went out of his way to go all the way back to the store which he didn’t have to do. But a hour later we received the pizza cold as ever but it was still good. I just wish the pizza store would have cooked us a fresh pizza since they forgot to give it to the dasher. But other then that I will be back in person for more food“

“I ordered a plain cheese pizza for take out on a Sunday afternoon. I had to wait 25 minutes but it was worth it. Like most places in the city, parking options are very limited. When I walked in to their shop I saw several happy customers eating away, enjoying their food. The place seats about 20 people. Nice low key , no frills, South Philly Italian pizza parlor vibe with very good food. It beats standing in line at Angelo’s.“
