Gina and her staff are so sweet and friendly, that the “Sweets” of their Sweets on Darby name refers as much to the people as it does to the delightful pastries she bakes. “I’m obsessed! Found this bakery on too good to go & took a ride over (from jersey) I came home with 4 different flavors of the banana pudding & my 16 year old and I tried each one. I can’t even pick a favorite because they are all so good. The Magic flavor name makes complete sense when you take a bite because different flavors seem to magically appear in your mouth (peanut butter being the last to hit…) hard to explain but if you taste it, it will make sense! I got 2 large puddings in my order than bought 2 different small ones in different flavors & i regret not getting the 2 extra cups in large! Driving in Philly stresses me out but I’ve never wanted to drive back over there so bad! For more pudding! I will be recommending this bake shop to everyone! The guy behind the counter was super nice & welcoming and helped me pick out some favorites. It’s a nice Friendly shop with amazing puddings & I will definitely be back!“

“I lived in Seattle for almost two decades and will admit to being a bit of a coffee shop snob. The Nook hits so many of my high points. Extremely good locally roasted coffee (in-house!). Amazing baked goods. The cocoa coffee bread must be tried, but leave me a slice! Great staff. If I ever move out of the neighborhood, I'll journey to the Nook for a great cup and bite.“

“As I was walking around the Reading Terminal, I decided to stop by and try this bakery.

I picked the classic flavor, and it was sooo good. It wasn’t overly sweet. It was moist too.

I can’t wait to try the other whoopie pie flavors.“

“whenever I am in Chestnut Hill I always say that I am going to try this restaurant. Well today I did and It did not disappoint OMG…. The restaurant is quaint and cute. The service was excellent and the food was very good. I ordered the broccoli quiche with turkey bacon on the side. That quiche is like none I have ever tasted, flaky crust and the filling reminded me of soufflé but much taster. I also brought 2 cups cakes carrot and coconut to go. I’m sure they are just as good. I can’t wait to go back because I hear there is a different quiche each week. This is my new breakfast place for sure.“

“Ordered a birthday cake for my mom’s 50th from Kia’s and I cannot recommend them more. I worked with Rachel, and she was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to fulfill my requests. The cake was BEAUTIFUL, and absolutely delicious. Our guests raved!! Also, I want to say that the staff at Kia’s is so friendly and nice. Such a wonderful atmosphere. Will absolutely be coming back!!“

Would definitely come back and try more sweets. Also the lady who took my order was so sweet and her customer service was awesome!“

“The Phillywide included JustEgg, vegan cheese, and Beyond bacon or sausage. I chose bacon, but received sausage. I wanted a Philly muffin, but they were out, so I chose a sundried tomato bagel. The sandwich was good, but so hot that I burnt my tongue. I was disappointed to learn they don't actually make any of the baked goods.“

Not to mention the moisture and flavor of the cake and fondant was superb. I will order her cakes for any occasion. Not only did the coolies look exactly like the dogs, somehow their personally was also captured! The cookies tasted delicious as well as looking great! I Would highly recommend this bakery! “I've always had a good experience getting custom cakes from Crust. I got a cute Christmas themed cake from them. I especially thought it was helpful that there were instructions on the box for proper storage and serving. The decorator is creative and did a great job on the cake with minimal direction from me. When I went to go pick up the cake I picked up a few other things in the store front. 2 soft, fancy vegan cheese, a 12 month women's empowerment calendar and a cute sticker!! Will continue to get special (and delish) vegan cakes from here!!!!!“

“Overall the food is tasty. I have had their Chicken Curry, Stewed Chicken, Rice and Peas, String Beans, Mac n Cheese. Definitely more of a "hole in the wall spot." The space is dark, quiet and not particularly welcoming, but you can order food and you can tell they can cook. It is defintiely better than other spots in the city. Id recommend folks get it "To Go." They have Caribbean drinks to buy too.“

The owner and her daughter displayed exceptional politeness, professionalism, and patience as they took my order. I was unsure of what I wanted, but their suggestions guided me to a decision. Despite the cake being somewhat expensive, it was exquisitely designed, moist, and delicious, making it a hit among the party guests. Cathryn's Cake Salon will be my first choice for future cake needs, and I highly recommend this establishment.“
