“Plenty of freshly baked goodies available on Sunday at 10am. The place was busy with most tables occupied and people coming in to grab a coffee or bread to go. Not pictured but we shared a half baguette sandwich with ham and Swiss cheese (warmed up) , two chocolatines (still warm from the oven) and two coffees.

We were disappointed to learn their coffee machine was out of order so they could only serve filtered coffee at the time. Then within 5 minutes of us getting our order we heard the coffee machine working for other patrons…🥲“

“Started last Friday’s day off with a stop at the amazing Cafe dei Campi. Fully veganized Italian pastries and small pizzas. Soups and salads too but I stuck to the Italian specialties. Hazelnut filled tortellini melt in your mouth pastries. Amarettis and Biscotti. The essential Italian cafe’s big espresso machine which makes the perfect double espresso with the layer of crema and their cappuccino with perfect foam. Accompanied with a flaky delicious cornetto, it felt like heaven. Much chatting with my friend and a necessary second cornetto and espresso completed our visit by closing time. We had lucked out with a table. Had a great rest of the day that right from the start, arriving at the cafe there was a couple with their little boy wearing a Metallica t-shirt. Of course I had to comment, he was so cute and responsive to my speaking to him. And found out he’s a true fan of heavy metal music, this beautiful 4 year old boy named Sandro. So the day was pretty perfect.🖤“

Niché au bout de la rue Chabot dans le Plateau Est, ce petit café de quartier est un véritable bijou culinaire. Le menu est court, mais chaque plat est maîtrisé avec soin. La tarte aux tomates du Québec est une merveille : pâte feuilletée parfaite, tomates savoureuses, cheddar vieilli, le tout relevé d’herbes de Provence... un pur plaisir. La quiche aux épinards est douce et ensoleillée, et les viennoiseries? Un festival de textures et de parfums : croissants, chocolatines, financiers... tout est fait maison, frais du jour. “This is a very good boulangerie located along Mont-Royal Ave East that is open from 7am to 6pm daily. They have a fair sized indoor seating area, many visitors seem to pop in for morning take-away. There was a short queue when we arrived 7.30am midweek. You'll find a nice range of mostly French style breads, tarts, pastries and bakery products. We particularly liked their quiche and almond filled croissants. Coffees served up on the day were very good as well. This seemed like a great boulangerie, one we'd like visit regularly if we lived in the area. Would gladly revisit next time in Montreal.“

The bacon poutine and the brownie BeaverTail were both delicious, prepared quickly, and packed perfectly for takeout. I loved the BeaverTail, the texture was so soft and crunchy at the same time. Would definitely recommend, and the price was fine!“

You think you want one thing, turn to the left, and boom there's even more chocies. The almond croissant is actually next level. Their pizza sauce is sensational.
