“Really good food and wine! All the dishes were super tasty and dessert was particularly good. Service was friendly although they kept coming to the table a little too often, which is appreciated but felt a little rushed. We unfortunately were seated in the back next to a big party of people and it was impossible to hear each other. Would come back to try again though!“

“Walking in, the warm atmosphere makes you feel instantly at home. With only a few tables, set for the lucky locals, I feel privileged to have chef George in the neighbourhood. The Spanish vibe takes you right in the streets of St Sebastian’s tapas spots. It is worth a visit if you want to be pampered by the chef who is sophisticated yet humble. I would say try everything on the menu because it changes regularly. Each visit, I want to say it’s an absolute artistic experience etc but really, it is a party in my mouth. I walk out inspired to cook and excited to be back.“

“my new fav wine bar in montreal. great selection, amazing service, great vibes and reasonable prices. we went on a friday around 5 and it wasn’t too busy but still good energy. later in the night there will be a line / be very busy but it was a nice balance right after work. we got the olives, cheese and i think every red they had on the menu. next time im back in the city ill be coming here for sure.“

“A group of friends and I were in Montreal for a couple of days and decided to stop by Le Psy for a quick drink and a light bite before continuing our night. What was meant to be a short visit turned into hours—thanks to the soft lighting, great music, and incredibly warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Jean-Yves is truly one of the most gracious and charming restaurateurs I’ve ever met. Although our group was mostly English-speaking, he made us feel completely at home—like longtime friends by the end of the night.
I could go on about how special the experience was, but I need to mention the food and drinks before you stop reading.
French onion soup is my favorite dish in the world—and a tricky one to get just right—but they’ve mastered it here. Every bite had the perfect balance: rich broth, caramelized onions, and a bold cheese crust that left us craving more. It simply is one of the best I've ever had.
I paired it with a fantastic Old Fashioned that was as delicious as it was entertaining to watch being crafted.
But the star of the night—one of the highlights of our entire trip—was the espresso martini. I’ve never had anything like it. When we asked how to recreate it, Jean-Yves generously walked us through the process, step by step.
On a trip where we set out to taste everything Montreal had to offer, we ended up returning to Le Psy the very next night. If you’re still reading this, do yourself a favor, pull up a stool at Le Psy, and treat yourself to an unforgettable meal, a vibrant atmosphere, and some of the kindest people Montreal has to offer.

“So, this review is a little different from most, because people often come to a place one time experience a good thing and drop a positive review. I on the other hand expect consistency and I am a little on the OCD side, especially when I travel. That just means I find the restaurants that I like and I have been known to eat the same meals two days in a row. One of the things that stands out immediately to me is that for the most part you have the same staff working dinner or evening shifts as you do the brunch on Saturday and Sunday. This makes for long days but it produces consistency. Timeliness and courtesy are number one for the ladies on the floor. Attention to detail is critical to the men on the cookline, as each plate comes out as an arrangement of food, not simply a pile of ingredients. I was in Montreal for a conference from Friday to Sunday so I was able to eat 2 dinners and 2 brunches, and I have to say they were quite exceptional. I do give the brunch a slight tip of the cap for being more consistent of the two meals and having the best consistency with the Big Brunch, the Americano, and the fresh squeezed juice. It is probably one of the best breakfast/brunches I have had since Verviers, Brussels in 2019. The Big Brunch consisted of fried sunny side up eggs, a sausage, fried potatoes with hollandaise, cubed fresh tomato, sourdough toast, fresh Americano, and fresh orange and grapefruit juice. The flavors work together to complement each other with the eggs having been lightly peppered by the chef and maybe fried in the salty fat from the sausage to give them the right amount of seasoning. Dinner the first day I had a beer and a ribeye prepared medium rare with pepper seasoning and a brown gravy accompanying the pureed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly. The next night I had the charcutier meat with sourdough, which was a nice assortment of the traditional fare one might find. It would have been nice to have found a smaller plate that include both meat and cheese. I did have a bottle of the California 2020 Elizabeth Spencer Cab and it paired well with everything, sometimes a little fruity and others a little spicy depending on how the notes hit the palette. Dinner was the same as the night before, but although the ribeye was ordered medium rare it came out more to medium. That was a little disappointing, but still satisfying in the end. To finish my meal I had the brownie with pecan crumble and sauce which finished off the bottle of Cab perfectly. This morning I had an amazing brunch again, and now I must say adieu as I head to the airport to return home.“

“The food here was truly amazing. We had the raw halibut which was similar to a ceviche, the muscles with the salsa which were my favourite, pork and beef skewers, as well as three different salads, the green mint bean salad, the salad with mixed greens, as well as the zucchini salad. We also had the grilled arctic char and the lobster risotto. The risotto portion, I expected to be larger esp as a main, but with all the food we had, we were full.“

“After several visits in just one month, I can say that this café is officially one of my favorites in Montreal, especially for studying? The individual tables are large enough to accommodate 2 computers and there are numerous sockets. The place is also very aesthetic with its high ceiling and its shrubs which bring serenity. The entrance is quite discreet, which enhances the experience. I tried the mocha and the pumpkin spice latte as well as the tomato soup and the grilled cheese, everything is very tasty. I can only highly recommend this address!!“

“Gabriel et Grace. Enough said. There wasn’t a request that was denied and we could not be more grateful. Was not my first time but definitely my favourite. Every dish was ridiculously good no matter what we ordered. We had the razor clams, radicchio blue cheese salad, croquettes, beef tartare, a few other amazing dishes I’m missing but by far the best was the smoked meat shepherds pie, insane.“

“Date night with wife. Walked in around midnight on a Friday and was seated right away at the bar. Bartender was super friendly. Made me a few cocktails that were off menu. We ordered the popcorn (crazy good) and the beef tartar (also very good). We had such a good time that we went back the next night and had the popcorn again and tried the kale caesar which was also outstanding. All of the cocktails were excellent on the menu as well. Great spot!!“

“We had an amazing experience here, but it was all for the food. Service could have been so much more attentive. Found the items that didn’t have the *spicy note on the menu pretty spicy too, but it was still nice and balanced. The Panang curry with Maitake was lovely and the Thai tea tiramisu instantly became my favourite. Be sure to make a reservation because they can get super busy!“

“I went to have dinner a couple days ago and I LOVED IT!
The food was delicious my friend loved the pizza and the calamaris.
I took the rib steak with linguine macchiato, pasta was amazing as always but the steak unfortunately was slightly overcooked. Don’t get me wrong it was an amazing steak, it’s just that it wasn’t the temperature I asked for it to be cooked.
The young waitress Sarah gave us a wonderful service.

House cocktails, Sous Bois and Fleurs du Mal were nicely crafted and well presented.Very relaxed atmosphere on a Monday, wish the music was louder because it wasn't really memorable. One of the sinks was missing soap and lots of graffiti in the washroom. I know they want to support local artists but not really a fan of the works on display which were all the same style.“
