“A nice zen break from the status quo in the Market.
Granted, I stopped in for a light snack, so I can’t speak to their menu; which looked good.
I had a coffee, banana bread, and a nice reflective conversation with my partner.
The staff are super friendly. I will definitely make my way back and try their rather unique menu options.“

“First time visitor on March 23, to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The restaurant was happily booked up when I tried to make a reservation, so I was only able to secure a table at 5:15pm. I left a little note asking them to keep us in mind if there was a cancellation for a later spot, and they contacted me by email, text, and phone when a later table became available for 6:15pm. Very responsive and friendly staff. Our time at Soif was marvellous. The staff were friendly and extremely professional. Service was relaxed yet very polished. Our server was knowledgeable about the wine and took great care to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. We had a flight of wine to start, followed by a beautiful bottle of white, and a flight of bubbles to end our evening. We shared a half cheese/half charcuterie platter that came with a mountain of crispy and delicious crostini, the latter being refilled without having to ask. Such a small but lovely touch. We also shared roasted Brussels sprouts, frites and aioli, a bison tartare, and grilled radicchio, that were all delicious. They surprised my friend with a little dessert wine and candle to acknowledge her birthday, which was so kind and thoughtful. I have not a single critique. The team here works like a well-oiled machine. No one seemed frantic or rushed. It was a lovely evening. I (we) will definitely be back. Santé!“

“We just came to sit and play and only got water. Ended up being $12 per person even for only 1 hour. Could have stayed a lot longer for the same price. Keep that in mind. Fantastic board game selection in good condition. Can buy games if you want, right from your table. Had a great old pub atmosphere. Staff is very attentive and makes sure you have what you need. I would highly recommend, and I would love to go again. Only real downside is no dedicated parking. It required a long time and a long walk to actually get to the location. Prepare for a long search and arrive well early if you have a date!“

“I was in downtown and wanted to have a really good wonton soup and I saw this restaurant has good reviews so I decided to give it a try. The soup was AMAZING! The restaurant is very clean. You need to order and pay, then your order will come. Mine came after 1 min. The broth is very tasty. You have all the sauces you need in your table. The soup is huge so I couldn’t try any other thing in the menu because I was so full, but I will come back to try more 😋😋😋😋😋 the price was great too 💃🏽 Love it ♥️“

“We have been ordering regularly from Ali at Oh My Grill since we discovered his amazing food! From chicken and filet skewers to gyros to falafel wraps - and the greek salad - OH MY GRILL!!! (OMG!!!) everyone in the family can't stop raving about the freshness and flavours! THANK YOU for making every meal we order from you sooooo very good!

“Je suis allé dîner avec des collègues mardi midi et c'était juste trop bon ! J'ai commandé le tacos de morue avec frites, c'était absolument délicieux. Une de mes collègues a pris la salade, boucane au au saumon fumé et l'assiette était sublime, et c'était très délicieux . Toute notre gang était satisfaite de leur plats ! Et que dire de la présentation!! et ce n'est pas juste beau, c'est excellent. La serveuse était super gentille, et on a pas attendu longtemps pour nos plats. ils ont une belle petite terrasse à l'ombre et nous avons beaucoup apprécié. je vais y retourner certainement.“

“Corazon De Maiz was my first meal in Ottawa, and it didn’t disappoint. The beef soft tacos were delicious, packed with way more meat than expected—no need for extra! Prices are a bit high, but the quality and portion size make it worth it. Friendly staff, too. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic, hearty Mexican food with great service! You won't get away with less than $40 per person after tax and tip. For a big burger and fries with a drink.
Is 12 wings $30?
10/10 for the atmosphere, and the service is also generally good - but at this price, I can make burgers for a whole family at home :/

“Having just landed in Ottawa during lunch time, I was craving a bite. I came across this beautiful café in Downtown Ottawa - Jackson Café (10 Daly Ave, Ottawa, ON, KIN 6E2) after visiting the Art Gallery next door.
At the café, I had ordered a roasted beef sandwich and my all-time favourite drink which was an iced matcha latte. I was in awe with the beautiful, sophisticated decoration of this café. The place was quite cozy and it was clearly the perfect place for studying as I spotted a few students from the University of Ottawa sipping their beverages while staring at their laptop screens.
The roasted beef sandwich was excellent it has the perfect ratio of meat and arugula salad piled on fresh bread. The combination of flavors was out of this world, and the beef was well cooked and tender. Every bite was a savory delight.
Then, I received my iced matcha latte, and I was in love!
As a matcha lover, this drink struck the perfect balance of matcha and milk-not too strong, not too weak.
Perfection!
This was the perfect place for a little pick me up before heading out and exploring more the city. I definitely recommend checking out this café, it also has some delicious pasteries and healthy vegetarian options as well. Recommended!

“Oeuf benedictine italiana gratinée, un regal mais quand il arrive pocher très dure ou totalement « morveux « c’est normal de demander a etre retoucher mais me faire mettre dehor en me disans que c’est normal par une grosse vache sa c’est pas normal le restaurant est parfais quand 2 propriétaire sur 3 sont là! Je ne connais pas leur nom mais la dame blonde tres énergique et super avec tout le monde et ainsi que monsieur super gentil gagne à être connu car se sont 2 propriétaire incroyable ! “The folks are quite friendly and chill. They also know the area well and can give you directions if you're visiting downtown. The atmosphere is very relaxed, almost like a lazy Sunday afternoon. Good vibes! I saw a couple come in, look a little lost. The server even offered them free drinks and was quite generous. And of course, Elbows up!!“
