“Very nice little gelato and sorbet place. We had the chocolat, peanut and hazelnut gelato. The chocolat gelato is very good. Dogs are allowed inside and they have dog treats. The place is very small therefore I recommend eating the gelato while walking towards the marina. Great service.“

“We went in a class trip to the playground, and called ahead to let them know the students would be buying ice cream at the Beach Shack. It turned out to be a rainy day and they opened for the students so that the students wouldn’t be disappointed. They were friendly, kind and helpful to the students and we appreciated the fantastic service. This is the second time we have taken our students here and would highly recommend the Beach Shack.“

The servers are pleasant, if a bit inattentive and the patio is quite nice in the summer. The biggest problem with this location is that it often feels a bit run down. The machines are often a little wonky, often dispensing almost liquid froyo, there's sometimes garbage or sticky residue left around and the toppings, especially the cooled ones, are sometimes depleted. Though I think this just comes from the fact that the location itself is too small and understaffed for how busy it gets.“

Parking: Parking kind of depends on the time of day, because it is on Richmond which has variable parking. There is some street parking on various side streets that is free if you are willing to walk 3-5 minutes though.
