“My wife and I visited this ramen shop last May or June, around 5 to 6 p.m., and had a terrible experience. The pork belly was incredibly hard and smelled awful. To make matters worse, our female server completely ignored us, even though there were only two other tables and the staff was chatting nearby. It left us feeling pretty disappointed after dinner.

Today, we decided to give it another chance, thanks to their event. This time, the quality and freshness of the ramen were much better, including serving quality. I think the owner or manager should visit more often to ensure the service quality stays high.“

“Wonderful, inclusive folks! Very nice staff, who were very helpful. This may seem like an odd thing to say, but it was really great that they made sure they rented an accessible portable washroom for their large market event. As I was sporting crutches (I recently broke my ankle), it was a total life saver that I didn’t need to take the stairs! Not sure if the port-a-potty is an “always” thing, but just the fact that they had it for their street market when so many folks wouldn’t even think of it made me grateful. Thank you for being the loveliest hosts! I’m not a coffee or tea drinker, but I’ll certainly tell all my friends about how kind the staff were!“

Not as impressed with the tiramisu, which was an odd kind of foamy/gelatiny something. And they really need to get a handle on the amount of plastic waste - even the plastic forks were wrapped in plastic; each cake slice wrapped in plastic; plastic plastic plastic. At least find something biodegradable, there's things on the market now! I would definitely go again but I'd bring my own mug and fork.“

“Can’t believe I’ve only just discovered this place. We pass nearly everyday but the outside doesn’t represent the magic that is inside these doors. They roast their own beans, the products are so special (the spices!!) loose leaf teas. Sandwiches were delicious and everyone was so welcoming!“

While you're in the neighborhood, take the time to walk around a bit; there's a lovely silver & gemstone jeweller just a few doors down ...“

I’m not sure if he’s the owner or part of the management but the care he shows to delivery drivers is beyond words. He’s by far my biggest tipper. We rarely ever see tips like this. His generosity truly lifts our spirits and makes our day every time he places an order. Thank you so much for your kindness. “We went in a class trip to the playground, and called ahead to let them know the students would be buying ice cream at the Beach Shack. It turned out to be a rainy day and they opened for the students so that the students wouldn’t be disappointed. They were friendly, kind and helpful to the students and we appreciated the fantastic service. This is the second time we have taken our students here and would highly recommend the Beach Shack.“

“Dropped in for lunch. Loved the food. Housemade chicken curry soup was excellent and I have a lot of experience with curry. Also had a blueberry lemon scone that was crisp on the outside and tender buttery on the inside. My wife had a breakfast sandwich, which at Good Eats is far above the ordinary with housemade English muffins, cheese layered in the egg and perfectly cooked bacon. There was some sort of chutney on the English Muffin which added a nice spicy touch. Very welcoming staff. Friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Also they had nice art on the walls from a local artist.“

Great portions and the fried rice was actually amazing I was shocked, wings were great too. Only thing I wouldn’t get again was the General Tso Chicken bc it was not crispy. Amazing fried rice“

“Great coffee and a relaxing atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to settle in for a few hours—free Wi-Fi, comfy seating, excellent coffee, and hot chocolate piled high with whipped cream. The staff are friendly and unobtrusive, even if you stay all afternoon.“

“We’ve visited the Kanata location twice this fall. The service is excellent! We love the cauliflower wings; they are so good! We get half and half because both sauces are amazing. All the food is delicious. The atmosphere is good. Our new favourite restaurant when we are in Kanata. It’s great to have a vegetarian restaurant with so many excellent choices, and healthy too!“
