“I can't believe the best café in all of Montreal is just down the street from where I live. I spent my summer going around, trying lattés at every café imaginable. (It was a fun summer!) Magda is hands down my favorite! So happy to have you in the neighborhood!“

“Côte Café is a beautiful little escape; tucked away in athoughtfully refurbish historic carriage house. ! The vibe is super relaxed and welcoming, the staff are friendly & knowledgeable, (shout out to Charles). Everything—from the free trade & locally roasted coffee to the decor—feels thoughtful and easygoing. The kind of place you could spend hours at without realizing. Absolutely love it here! Ccafé tucked away in a historic and cleverly refurbished carriage house. Super welcoming, fun staff (shout out to Charles); these guys are clearly passionate about their coffee (free trade partners & local roasters) and epic patisseries. We only had the butter croissant but it may be the best in the city! Stop in and see for yourself!“

“Charming cozy cafe with quaint seating areas throughout and even a little loft area with dining room table. Great place to work and have a coffee drink or grab breakfast. The yogurt parfait was perfect (low sugar Greek yogurt with honey drizzled on top) as were the cottage cheese pancakes.“

“Tommy Café is a beautiful spot with a stylish two-floor interior that’s definitely worth seeing. However, it gets extremely crowded and personally, I didn’t enjoy the coffee. Still, it’s a nice place to visit at least once for the atmosphere.“

“This place has a lovely vibe. The owner is energetic and very kind, and the food is yummy. I had the truffle Benedict, I subbed the bacon for smoked salmon - I love eggs, Benedict and this was a nice version of it. My partner had the Shakshuka royale, which was so good. Make sure to ask about dietary restrictions - we were told all ingredients were listed, although I’m not sure if that was the case for the Shaksuka, pretty sure there was dairy despite it not being listed, my partner did get an upset stomach afterwards. On the bright side, they were very much enjoying the meal during! This platter was clearly very special and popular.“

“Cantinova Cafe is such a nice spot. Kaz the owner is a gracious host and always makes you feel welcome. The coffee is great and the vibe is relaxed and friendly.

It’s also super convenient as a dropoff point for Audiophonie who did an amazing job fixing my Technics 1200. Made the whole process really easy.

Definitely recommend both the cafe and the repair shop.“

“The food is always good. They have lots of vegan options and the coffee is one of the best around. Nice atmosphere and wonderful service. Just ask what is vegan as some items contain dairy and they add meat into their menu. This restaurant is no longer vegetarian but there is something for everyone there. “The tea at Cha Noir is always fresh and fragrant. It is the best I have tasted and I drink herbal tea everyday. I moved 11 hours away 4 years ago and still order my tea from them!“

“I love the cozy atmosphere of this place, my husband and I came to get a hot drink and something sweet and play some chess together! They have a few board games you can play. The drinks were delicious and the dessert was perfect, we got the pistachio baklava. I really love this place and I will go back many times !“

“I have been looking for my new favorite cafe place. I found it today. The vibe the owners have is contagious, you feel excited to try new pastries. I picked the big chocolate chip cookie, it was sooo good, almost like half baked cookie dough. I also tried the almond cookie so delicious with a hint of lemon 🍋. I also had the iced latte, omg it was perfection.“

“Food is great. Small menu so they are good at what they do. Cashier was friendly and knowledgeable and our food came quickly.

My only real complaint is about some of the chairs. I'm a larger person and found the chair could be more sturdy and comfortable.

And as always with MOST restaurants, bathroom cleanliness could be improved (not a make or break for me).

“Rockaberry Monkland is the perfect place for dessert lovers! With a wide variety of pies and cheesecakes, there is something for everyone. The portions are generous, the flavors delicious, and the service is always warm and welcoming. The atmosphere is pleasant, whether for a coffee with friends or a dessert with family. The Key Lime Pie and Mille-Feuille are absolutely essential! I highly recommend for an unforgettable gourmet experience.“

“Love this café. Espresso is consistently well prepared and dialed in, baked goods are solid, and of course you have 10+ roasters to choose from for freshly roasted coffee. My only nitpick would be that I wish the house roaster's beans were available as espresso on rotation. The house blend is good but I've had some mind blowing espresso here and I want more lol.“

“Le Cafe Pick Me Up has become one of my absolute favorite spots in Montreal. It's my go to place for a quick pick me up (my favorite is the ceremonial matcha and the latte pick me up) and a healthy snack (the smoothie bowls are delicious!!!).
The cafe is pretty spacious and open making it the perfect co-working space as well as the perfect spot to hang out with friends on weekend mornings. The staff is exceptionally friendly, especially the owner, Mariam, making you feel right at home. Bonus points for their playlists that are just always on point!!!“
