**After coming here (and recommending and introducing friends to this place,I’m going to have to change my review. Maybe my first couple of visits were one offs. My final visit was not good. After waiting longer than usual for the waitress (it wasn’t that busy this time) and having to hunt her down for the bill she decided to attempt to school me on tipping and percentages. May I suggest learning some basic math before trying to shame me into tipping more? She tried to tell me my tip was less than 15% when it was in fact much more. Also a tip is a courtesy and not a given. What an ugly way to start my day. I have moved onto the other breakfast place a couple blocks away.“

“Lovely fresh bagels in the heart of Verdun.
Came in with low expectations but left very happy and satisfied, will definitely be a returning customer.
The service was extremely quick, we got our food within 5 minutes of ordering.
We had the smoked salmon with cream cheese capers and red onion bagel, my favorite.
We so had a an egg bagel with tomato cheese lettuce and mayo.
Cappuccino was good as well.“

“A "real" place, with real people, in a way that has somehow went out of atyle with chain restaurants, but never should have.
They don't make 'em like this anymore and they are a rare find; a real authentic diner where the staff works their posterior off for you, and you can see it, right in front of you, in a floor, thats worn thin of year upon years of sucessfull service.

“less salt on the potato mash I'm not at mcdonalds. the new staff should take showers before going to work. give fresh coffee. used to go every weekend spoke to them many times about the salt on potatoes quietly out of respect nothing was done it kept happening....you could see the salt at a glance . so decided to to try the salad. that was a costly mistake. Didn't do that again. new staff came in had to hold your breath when they came to the table. we must be a Glutten for punishment we still kept going. then my husband was given syrupy coffee bottom of the kettle. while we watched the workers serve themselves a fresh pot and to top it off they brought us the wrong order and made us feel like it was our fault. That was it never again. would not recommend at all used to be my favorite spot. was just a few steps from my condo will drive now to get better service and staff that take showers.“

The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the food.

“Nice establishment for lunch. Meal for 14 people on a Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. Fast service. The portions are generous and well stocked. The children's plates are also very well stocked. The whole family was satisfied. Price similar to a dinner or dinner, on average the plates are $15-20. My lunch poutine meal was served hot and garnished with green onions and a few arugula leaves. No reservations on weekends.
