“My five-star rating is on something very specific. It was late at night on a weekday, and I needed to buy a pizza for my guests. I ordered the Trans Canada Pizza special, which I've had before, and thought it was good. They were obviously closing up their dining room but they took my takeout order. As promised, it was ready pretty quickly. When my guests had the pizza they all thought it was a very good quality. They said they had a good quality pizza place in their neighborhood, but some thought this was even better. So, full marks to Trans Canada Pizzeria and their very special Trans Canada Special pizza.“

“I would have to say that this was absolutely one of the best meals we’ve ever had!!! We started with a plate of Oysters that were perfect! We had the Arctic Char for 2 with a side of Gnocchi and Caesar salad the fusion of flavour in the sauce on the Char was heavenly. The fish was done to perfection!! The Gnocchi was unlike any we had ever had and the herb oil drizzle highlighted the perfect texture and flavour of the gnocchi. The deconstructed Caesar was perfect!! We finished the meal off with the Maple Creme Brûlée. The entire staff were friendly supportive and knowledgeable from the moment we walked in!! C’est Manifique!! Bravo!!!“

“Been to quite a few steak houses in Montreal. With marketing, very difficult to tell the tourist trap from great food till it’s over. The Keg, has never let me down. Service is always 100%. Even with a full front of house, the kitchen has your food out in a VERY reasonable time. Fresh baked bread, great drinks, awesome prime rib, the wedge salad is perfect. Every bite shows the same temp, no black but raw in the middle. It’s shows the streak was cooked low and slow, you can’t fake that, it’s not possible. It also shows they care.“

“I think the only seafood i have tried in Montréal is from poissonnerie zeina. The most fun part is they have an impressive collection of seafood on display, you can pick your seafood by the weight, and get it fried/ grilled/sautéed!We tried the mixed seafood platter, fish and chips, and fried calamari. They're all great and I definitely will go back to try other food items. The mixed platter is a perfect assortment that combines their entire menu- and easily feeds two people. Though there isn't much around, this half seafood store and restaurant serves crispy seafood.Captain Meal $44.99Shrimp, calamari, fish fillet, whiting fish (the smaller ones), rice, salad and fries.The batter is light and crispy, just perfect right out of the kitchen. I would suggest eating inside versus takeout. The flavors are just perfect and not salty. You can really appreciate the seafood. The calamari was perfect. But rubbery at all. Normally don't eat it, but the whiting fish was very good. Honestly, nothing tasted bad at all. Even the fried rice with veggies were good and fluffy. The salad was tangy and tart and really compliments the fried food. Fries were crispy. Everything was a crowd pleaser.Great food for a decent price. Rayan’s is delicious, but they certainly have the best spices and much better fried seafood there is than other seafood restaurants.
