We had dinner at Joe Beef on July 3, and it absolutely lived up to its legendary reputation. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed into an atmosphere that was warm, eclectic, lively, and full of personality. The restaurant has a charm that’s impossible to fake—it’s energetic without feeling rushed and makes you feel like you’re part of something special.

A huge thank you to Simon, our server, who made the evening exceptional. He struck the perfect balance between professionalism and fun, making us feel genuinely welcome while expertly guiding us through the menu. His wine recommendations paired beautifully with our meal, and his enthusiasm for the food and the restaurant was remarkable.

Every dish was outstanding, but the escargot was absolutely phenomenal—rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The tomato salad was surprisingly one of the highlights of the evening, showcasing incredibly fresh ingredients with simple, flawless execution.

Simon also steered us toward fantastic wine selections that complemented every course, and he saved room for dessert with recommendations that were the perfect ending to an already incredible meal. Every bite was memorable.

Joe Beef isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. Outstanding food, incredible hospitality, a unique atmosphere, and service that goes above and beyond. Simon helped make our visit one we’ll be talking about for a long time.“

The oysters are fresh and of great quality. They are offered with a variety of sauces, which is a nice touch.

The tomato sauce in particular was paired beautifully with the oysters.“

“Homemade and fresh, delicious pasta sauces and seafood, everything high quality, even the Caesar salad dressing. We tried all three desserts for 3 people and could not decide which was the best...maybe the carrot cake, which is a family recipe. Highly recommend.“

“It's our 1st time here, we came to celebrate our 36yr wedding anniversary, we definitely came to the right place. The mixed seafood platter was to die for! It was so fresh and flavourful we were amazed how well the seabass, octopus, giant shrimp and cod were cooked to perfection and served with a smile to make sure we had properly transferred the food from plater to dish. “We took our son and wife for their b/days on Sat. Oct 4 2025. No waiting, Place clean, ambience good, waiter great. It was our 1st time and in general the food was very good,(filet mignon, done to taste, Salmon, fries ,which were dry, tasteless and cold. Frozen fries are way tastier at the fast food restaurants; McDonald's, Harveys, A+W. etc. With a restaurant of this calibre we certainly expected fresh fries. It really spoiled our dinner, as we all chose fries with our meals. It's nearly insulting. If you don't have the facilities to offer fresh fries, then just serve baked or mashed. Sorry! it really left us with a bd taste in our mouths. Will we go again??? Not so sure! Sadly! P.S the stars are not right.
