“We went on a Sunday, it was busy for a Sunday night but the waitress did an amazing job handling everyone we never had to try hard to get her attention. There was a burlesque show that was fun to watch. The murder mystery game was a good surprise. Great for groups we had good laughs and really enjoyed our time. The drinks were so tasty and the Brie was amazing as well!

“My wife and I had a fantastic evening here on Friday. It has a warm atmosphere that made us want to stay much longer than we would have normally. The food was exquisite, and a good value for the quality provided. The wine list was extensive, featuring wines from several French regions, as well as some from Italy, Spain, US, and Canada. The servers were attentive, speaking French and English, and there was a sommelier on staff to help with the wine. The plates weren’t overly large, but we were quite filled after three courses, wine, and an aperitif. We are definitely coming back the next time we’re in town.“

“The Goldfish are addictive, and the cocktails always impeccable. This place specializes in perfectly balanced long drinks, in particular cocktails mixed in Mason jars, such as their perfect classic mojito. We've been coming for years; it's a mandatory visit every time we're in Montreal. In fact, they inspired a major part of our cocktail program at our own cocktail bar (RIP This End Up). I hope La Distillerie lives on forever. Chin chin!!!

“Le milky way est un magnifique endroit avec une bonne ambiance pour terminer une soirée entre amis. J’ai commander le drink Preach’s peach pour sa composition et le magnifique verre annoncé sur le menu (flamingo). Malheureusement, le drink n’a pas été servi dans le verre tant attendu. Dans ce genre d’endroit, la présentation fait toute la différence pour justifier un cocktail à 25$. J’aurais apprécier qu’on me renseigne que le verre n’était pas disponible ce soir-là. J’aurais probablement opter vers un autre cocktail à un prix plus modeste. Ceci dit, le goût était bon. Nous ne recommandons pas les spritz sans alcool qui sont à notre goût fade et simplement amer. Un ajout de sirop simple pourrait probablement balancer l’amerture de ce drink qui est normalement délicieux avec du mousseux, bien entendu. Pour terminer, le cocktail bleu dont je ne me souvient plus le nom était le highlight de la soirée. Je retournerais au MilkyWay pour retenter l’expérience :) Au plaisir,“

From start to finish, our evening at Le Godot was absolutely out of this world. Every single dish from the appetizers to the desserts was a masterpiece. The mix of flavors was simply orgasmic, perfectly balanced, and beautifully presented. Compliments to the chef and kitchen team for creating such an extraordinary culinary experience!

The service was just as exceptional. I organized a small bachelorette surprise dinner for a good friend, and the Le Godot team went above and beyond to help me plan and make the night truly special. I’m so mad I can’t recall our server’s name (he worked Thursday evening, October 23) he deserves a special shoutout; his warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail elevated the entire evening.

“It can be a quiet intimate place or crowded. It really depends on the night and if there is a big event in town. The bar tenders are hysterical. Sylvain and Johanne have been there for a long time and they always remember us when we come back which is once a year. The drinks and service are excellent. In the bar area (the section we chose to be seated) has many TV screens and we were excited to watch the NHL playoff game. However, since there was a DJ, the music kept playing throughout the entire evening. Therefore, we couldn't enjoy the sound of the play-by-play of the game or the crowd cheering. When the Canadiens played their games, BB muted the music and let the diners listen to the live action of the game. I understand that it wasn't Montreal (Edmonton Oilers 🇨🇦 were playing), but it was a little disappointing since none of us could get into the game at all. Anyways, we accepted the establishment's decision to continue playing the DJ's music. *However, the most important point of this is the fact that the music was way too loud.* We couldn't hear each other speak at our own table. “So, this review is a little different from most, because people often come to a place one time experience a good thing and drop a positive review. I on the other hand expect consistency and I am a little on the OCD side, especially when I travel. That just means I find the restaurants that I like and I have been known to eat the same meals two days in a row. One of the things that stands out immediately to me is that for the most part you have the same staff working dinner or evening shifts as you do the brunch on Saturday and Sunday. This makes for long days but it produces consistency. Timeliness and courtesy are number one for the ladies on the floor. Attention to detail is critical to the men on the cookline, as each plate comes out as an arrangement of food, not simply a pile of ingredients. I was in Montreal for a conference from Friday to Sunday so I was able to eat 2 dinners and 2 brunches, and I have to say they were quite exceptional. I do give the brunch a slight tip of the cap for being more consistent of the two meals and having the best consistency with the Big Brunch, the Americano, and the fresh squeezed juice. It is probably one of the best breakfast/brunches I have had since Verviers, Brussels in 2019. The Big Brunch consisted of fried sunny side up eggs, a sausage, fried potatoes with hollandaise, cubed fresh tomato, sourdough toast, fresh Americano, and fresh orange and grapefruit juice. The flavors work together to complement each other with the eggs having been lightly peppered by the chef and maybe fried in the salty fat from the sausage to give them the right amount of seasoning. Dinner the first day I had a beer and a ribeye prepared medium rare with pepper seasoning and a brown gravy accompanying the pureed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly. The next night I had the charcutier meat with sourdough, which was a nice assortment of the traditional fare one might find. It would have been nice to have found a smaller plate that include both meat and cheese. I did have a bottle of the California 2020 Elizabeth Spencer Cab and it paired well with everything, sometimes a little fruity and others a little spicy depending on how the notes hit the palette. Dinner was the same as the night before, but although the ribeye was ordered medium rare it came out more to medium. That was a little disappointing, but still satisfying in the end. To finish my meal I had the brownie with pecan crumble and sauce which finished off the bottle of Cab perfectly. This morning I had an amazing brunch again, and now I must say adieu as I head to the airport to return home.“

We stopped in before a show to have a nice meal and we were not disappointed. We started with a glass of wine and oysters as they have a special on Wednesdays. The mignonette was delicious and the oysters were ice cold and fresh. We then shared the Kar-age which is a fried chicken appetizer 10/10. Our waiter Kevin 10/10 helped us navigate the sushi which was absolutely amazing! The cherry blossom tree is a very cool design element.
