“I have to say that I was disappointed with my meal. I chose the L'Gros Luxe hamburger. It's not the burger as such, but rather the bbq sauce, which I would have liked to have been homemade. It looked like a supermarket BBQ sauce to me. The pulled pork bowl looked better. But the pork also lacked flavor. And as a starter, the fried pickles were excellent. Good atmosphere, beautiful decor.“

“My wife and I had a fantastic evening here on Friday. It has a warm atmosphere that made us want to stay much longer than we would have normally. The food was exquisite, and a good value for the quality provided. The wine list was extensive, featuring wines from several French regions, as well as some from Italy, Spain, US, and Canada. The servers were attentive, speaking French and English, and there was a sommelier on staff to help with the wine. The plates weren’t overly large, but we were quite filled after three courses, wine, and an aperitif. We are definitely coming back the next time we’re in town.“

J’ai commander le drink Preach’s peach pour sa composition et le magnifique verre annoncé sur le menu (flamingo). Malheureusement, le drink n’a pas été servi dans le verre tant attendu. Dans ce genre d’endroit, la présentation fait toute la différence pour justifier un cocktail à 25$. J’aurais apprécier qu’on me renseigne que le verre n’était pas disponible ce soir-là. J’aurais probablement opter vers un autre cocktail à un prix plus modeste. Ceci dit, le goût était bon. Nous ne recommandons pas les spritz sans alcool qui sont à notre goût fade et simplement amer. Un ajout de sirop simple pourrait probablement balancer l’amerture de ce drink qui est normalement délicieux avec du mousseux, bien entendu. Pour terminer, le cocktail bleu dont je ne me souvient plus le nom était le highlight de la soirée. Je retournerais au MilkyWay pour retenter l’expérience :) Au plaisir,“

2018: Great selection drinks and seasonal cocktails. Pleasant service. Great music. Usually very busy with lineups around the corner but I find it worth the wait. Good place to bring dates. There's a Snakes and Ladders board in the menu and you can ask for pieces.“

“A near by server whispered in my ear of this Speakeasy, I was intrigued and gave in to my inquisitive desire. It was dark and I was alone in a strange city. The music filled the room with great style and the skills of the bartenders were amazing. I would highly recommend this activity for a group event, Simon was able to adapt to the needs of the group! The activity took place on the restaurant's interior terrace a little before the restaurant opened. Everything was perfect!“

In the bar area (the section we chose to be seated) has many TV screens and we were excited to watch the NHL playoff game. However, since there was a DJ, the music kept playing throughout the entire evening. Therefore, we couldn't enjoy the sound of the play-by-play of the game or the crowd cheering. When the Canadiens played their games, BB muted the music and let the diners listen to the live action of the game. I understand that it wasn't Montreal (Edmonton Oilers 🇨🇦 were playing), but it was a little disappointing since none of us could get into the game at all. Anyways, we accepted the establishment's decision to continue playing the DJ's music. *However, the most important point of this is the fact that the music was way too loud.* We couldn't hear each other speak at our own table. “So, this review is a little different from most, because people often come to a place one time experience a good thing and drop a positive review. I on the other hand expect consistency and I am a little on the OCD side, especially when I travel. That just means I find the restaurants that I like and I have been known to eat the same meals two days in a row. One of the things that stands out immediately to me is that for the most part you have the same staff working dinner or evening shifts as you do the brunch on Saturday and Sunday. This makes for long days but it produces consistency. Timeliness and courtesy are number one for the ladies on the floor. Attention to detail is critical to the men on the cookline, as each plate comes out as an arrangement of food, not simply a pile of ingredients. I was in Montreal for a conference from Friday to Sunday so I was able to eat 2 dinners and 2 brunches, and I have to say they were quite exceptional. I do give the brunch a slight tip of the cap for being more consistent of the two meals and having the best consistency with the Big Brunch, the Americano, and the fresh squeezed juice. It is probably one of the best breakfast/brunches I have had since Verviers, Brussels in 2019. The Big Brunch consisted of fried sunny side up eggs, a sausage, fried potatoes with hollandaise, cubed fresh tomato, sourdough toast, fresh Americano, and fresh orange and grapefruit juice. The flavors work together to complement each other with the eggs having been lightly peppered by the chef and maybe fried in the salty fat from the sausage to give them the right amount of seasoning. Dinner the first day I had a beer and a ribeye prepared medium rare with pepper seasoning and a brown gravy accompanying the pureed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly. The next night I had the charcutier meat with sourdough, which was a nice assortment of the traditional fare one might find. It would have been nice to have found a smaller plate that include both meat and cheese. I did have a bottle of the California 2020 Elizabeth Spencer Cab and it paired well with everything, sometimes a little fruity and others a little spicy depending on how the notes hit the palette. Dinner was the same as the night before, but although the ribeye was ordered medium rare it came out more to medium. That was a little disappointing, but still satisfying in the end. To finish my meal I had the brownie with pecan crumble and sauce which finished off the bottle of Cab perfectly. This morning I had an amazing brunch again, and now I must say adieu as I head to the airport to return home.“

“The ambiance was just as impressive, with a beautifully designed interior that really set the mood for a relaxing meal.

We started with the takoyaki, and it was absolutely delicious. The dough was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, filled with just the right amount of tender octopus. The flavor was rich and well-balanced, making it one of the best takoyaki dishes I’ve had.

The sushi was equally impressive, fresh, and expertly prepared, but it was the overall experience — the service, the food, and the design — that made it truly memorable. I’ll definitely be returning soon!“

“Overall, our night for 2 was amazing. We went on Friday April 11th from 7pm to 9h30.

Excellent: service was truly amazing (she was funny, kind, attentive), ambiance and vibes were immaculate, our gravlax entrée left us speechless, good portions for tapas style, the matcha crème brûlée wow!, cocktails are expensive (≈20$) but definitely worth it, and 3 course for 25$ was a steal. Focaccia was amazing too.

Good: the main dishes lacked a little flavour… the pasta was good, but nothing that can’t be whipped up at home under 30 mins.

To be improved: our main dishes took quite a long time to arrive, but understandable as it was busy and the server made sure to check up often.

Disappointed: we were left disappointed by the Asian short ribs that really lacked flavour and sauce. Mainly we were disappointed because the rice was quite undercooked.

But we left this place happy, we ate well, had great cocktails, and for 150$ in total it was worth it (tip and taxes incl.) for 2x 3 courses, 2 cocktails and a beer, foccacia and saucission extra (great portion). We’ll come back :)“
