“Went to Montreal recently for a bachelor party and after one of the guys got too drunk, I needed to go out for a meal on my own. I found Diablos and it was the nicest surprise. The ambiance was exactly what I was looking and the food was delicious. For Montreal, it was some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had.“

“I generally don’t like to complain, and in fact, this is the first bad restaurant review I have ever written. However, my experience with the management at La Milsa Laval was so predatory that I feel I have no choice but to warn others. ​We had a large booking of 23 people and paid a $500 deposit in advance. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, only 12 people were able to make it. While I understand that a change in group size can be an inconvenience, the restaurant’s response was completely unacceptable: They "stole" our $500 deposit and refused to credit a single cent of it toward our final bill. ​Essentially, we paid for our full meal on top of losing the $500, meaning the restaurant pocketed a massive amount of money for services and food they never provided. ​The Legal Issue ​To the management: You should be aware of Quebec’s Consumer Protection laws regarding "No-Show" fees and deposits. In Quebec, it is generally considered illegal for a restaurant to charge a "no-show" fee or withhold a deposit unless a specific contract was signed that meets very strict criteria—and even then, the amount must represent actual damages, not a flat-rate penalty. Taking $500 for 11 missing people while 12 others are still sitting there paying full price is a blatant violation of consumer rights. ​We were looking forward to a great night, but instead, we left feeling cheated. I strongly recommend avoiding this location for large groups unless you want to risk losing hundreds of dollars. We will befiling a formal complaint with the Office de la protection du consommateur (OPC). Quebec“

“Very vibey inside like you're in a street market in Asia. Also each table feels a little intimate in setting and there are wall separators so it's not too loud.

Each table has a range hood it's not too loud and it's super efficient I didn't come out with my clothes or hair smelling. You get a bunch of side dishes you can refill unlimited and the food was all really good. Our bibimbap bowl didn't have the crust at the bottom but they corrected the issue. The meat all tasted really good. We also ordered a marinated meat but got the unmarinated and was charged unmarinated meat so nbd but I would say to double check your order to be sure it's what you got and up to your standard. They're accommodating.

Service was great, you can flag down any server and ask for what you need.

We got the short ribs, pork Jowl, pork shoulder. All delicious, different, tender. Various sauces too. Next time, I'd probably not get the bibimbap and just more meat.“

“Service was fast and friendly from the get go. I got the chicken breast combo with fries and salad. I had never tried Portuguese before, but that sauce was on point. Food was served hot and the sauce was spicy which made it even better. The fries were crispy and delicious as was the chicken well cooked and crispy. I would definitely recommend“

I have been to many restaurants in my life and this particular one is ONE OF THE FEW that has given me such “SEXINISM” experience! I felt that tremendous love and passion coming out from the cashier and those feelings are then carried upon the gentleman who made me taste his meat thru a sample. The combo order is good for 2 people unless you eat a lot, but it doesn't matter. I was planning to eat just half and save the other half for dinnner, but it was so good I ended up cleaning the plate LOL.“

“The food was very good and the prices were pretty decent. The place gives a Miami retro 80-90's diner vibe. The is a parking lot which is very rare to find on Sherbrooke so that's a big plus.

The only issue I find is that the place does look old and quite a few tiles are crack up. Nothing wrong with the service and food only the atmosphere feels a bit old.“
