“very good dumplings. it doesn't look like a restaurant it's more like an apartment that someone invites u into and u order food and eat. the chili oil is very spicy. do not add more than 1 tbsp if u want to live. the grandma making the dumplings is so cute but also resembles a robot. my only gripe is that there's not more chicken options for the dumplings. also that they don't have hot and sour soup. also it's kinda expensive.“

“Small Chinese restaurant serving fresh hand pulled noodles. There is usually a huge waiting line if you go at busy hours, but don't let it deter you from trying this place; it's worth it !My go-to is the Dan Dan Noodles, which is a slightly spicy noodle meal with no broth; you simply mix the toppings with the noodles to get an explosion of flavour. Very tasty.Service is nice and fast. The prices and portions are great. I highly recommend this place !“

“The seafood was incredibly fresh, the presentation of all dishes beautiful and our server, Yin, was helpful and attentive. Our daughter has a peanut allergy and she was really great about going over ingredients with us. It was a great place to grab a quieter (maybe not well know, YET) dinner and still have fabulous food.“

“Excellent hidden dumpling gem! Randomly stumbled in. All dumplings are handmade, including the skin, which can be hard to find. Dumpling skin was the perfect chewy texture achieved only with hand made dumpling skin literally made to order (typically made by machine). Noodle soup was simple and tasty. Owner was super friendly and welcoming. We went from takeout to dine-in because of him. Space was bright, cheerful, relaxing and CLEAN. Overall 5+ experience from a dumpling snob - Come support this wonderful family-run business!“

“Pretty good overall. Juice XLB dumplings in decent portion size. Staff was attentive and the restaurant was well managed when it got busy. Lost a star because there’s no ginger to accompany the vinegar, tea is additional and the hot and sour soup lacks flavor and “

“This is not only the best Chinese restaurant in Montreal, but a fantastic restaurant overall. The food is spectacular -- for appetizers, make sure to have the spare ribs and shrimp toast, and for main courses have the Sautéed chicken with crispy spinach, the Yu Xiang pork, the Shanghai noodles, the five-salt calamari, and the eggplant in garlic sauce. The service is friendly and attentive. And there's even a good wine list. Honestly, it's a tremendous experience.“

“This place is literally heaven on Earth. Quick and easy service, food is always cooked to perfection with a wonderful mix of flavours from multiple different Chinese provinces. I recommend the whole menu, but specifically the sichuan cabbage or the dongbei eggplant. Once you go you’ll want to go back every night. I’ve been coming here for years now and probably will never stop.“

“I went for the first time to try this restaurant on 2024-02-22 and I really loved my experience. I really liked the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant. I ordered the braised beef noodle soup and it was really delicious. My friend ordered the salmon flambé, which was flambéed at our table, which I found impressive. She loved the salmon. The service was very good. I'll come back, that's for sure!“

“Best fried dumplings i’ve ever had (chicken & coriander). We also tried the Chicken & Mushroom soup and the Spicy Minced Pork soup. The sizes are very generous and the small is plenty for a full meal. Everything was super delicious. Service was excellent. Cheap and very cheerful!“

“It’s very good, noodles are chewy and they are generous with the toppings! Service was very fast! The seaweed tastes a bit odd in the vegetable soup but still delicious. If you don’t say anything they default to a medium bowl, which is quite big.One constructive thing I would say is the about the stools for sitting. In winter when people have coats and bags there’s nowhere to put them and it’s a bit uncomfortable.Overall great, would come back“

“Chillax is a great addition to the student ghetto. Located on Park just below Milton, this restaurant has everything. Really fine Japanese food, friendly personal service and a great atmosphere. You don't notice this the place so much from the street but that contributes to its hidden charms. I've lived in the area for 43 years and I'm very happy to have such good cuisine in the area that isn't hard on my wallet. Highly recommend checking it out.“

“Very good dumplings! But they're often out of the vegan options! Also I ordered the vegan "pizza" option and they put cheese on it, dairy cheese, and a good thing I doubled checked and ask because they indeed put real cheese... Odd since it's explicitly written vegan. Anyways, for the rest, I love their tofu dumplings they're the best in town in my opinion!!! Also I recommend the peanut butter noodles soooo yummy! I recommend this place for great dumplings!“

“We wondered why the huge enthusiasm for this little restaurant (you have to book more than a week in advance). After our first visit, we understand and share the enthusiasm! The dishes are extraordinary: texture of the meats, taste of the sauces, everything is fine. Best general tao and orange beef of our lives! The service is impeccable and gives a vibe of yesteryear's binery managed by a friendly and dedicated family (the ancestral house perhaps explains the comparison). We will come back to it! This is a BYOB.“

“Forever an unreal experience. Cheapest place in the province for what you are provided. Perfect place to stop for a quick bite after a night out. Often crowded with a line with university kids after a night at the bar, but we'll worth the wait. Peanut butter noodles are the perfect way to end an evening and can usually be covered with the change you acquired during the evening“

“My first time there and the dumplings blew me away. Just as authentic and delicious as in China. Maybe even better. The service is casual, but friendly, and the atmosphere is comfortable and full of students. Try the tasty Juicy Chicken and Mushroom dumplings and the Juicy Pork, Shrimp and Scallop dumplings. “The food was nice it's not wow but I liked it! There was unfortunately a hair in my bowl thank god I spotted it before mixing it. Hopefully they'll be more careful in the future about that. I had the 3in1 beef tomato and egg but it just tasted like tomato the beef was really soft and tender! The spice level wasn't that hot so I think anyone can handle it!“

Shrimps were fried to the right temperature and they’re perfectly crispy- The vegetarian spring rolls were super delicious and has the right thickness with a nice crispness to them with a very balanced fillingThe Not So Good:- General tao was dunked in super thick super sweet sauce and the chicken was over fried-“

“The dumplings are amazing. My personal favourites are the steamed dumplings. They are somehow basically soup dumplings! The service is quick and the atmosphere is relaxing. One criticism I may have is that miso soup is a little on the salty side so it might be a bit too much for some, but I love it that way.“

“I've been frequenting the Noodle Factory off and on for years, drawn repeatedly by its straightforward charm and delectable offerings. Nestled in the heart of Montreal's vibrant Chinatown, this no-frills eatery has carved out a niche for itself, serving up tasty dishes at an unbeatable value.Upon entering, one can't help but notice the restaurant's modest dimensions. The space is somewhat cramped, a testament to its bustling activity rather than any lack of foresight. While not expansive, the setting is adequate, fostering a cozy atmosphere that puts the focus squarely on the food. The staff, adhering to the establishment's no-frills approach, provide the basic level of service necessary to facilitate your meal. This minimalist approach to service underscores the restaurant's commitment to offering a low-cost dining experience, prioritizing the quality and affordability of the food above all else. However, it's important to note that the Noodle Factory may not be accessible to everyone, as it currently does not provide wheelchair access due to the absence of a ramp. This limitation is a significant oversight that the establishment should address to welcome a broader clientele. The menu at Noodle Factory stands out for its generous portion sizes that leave customers satisfied. The dishes, while simple, are prepared in a way that brings out a richness of flavor, ensuring a delightful dining experience. The cost of dining here is surprisingly low, making it a go-to spot for those seeking a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.Be mindful that the restaurant operates on a cash-only basis. While this may require a bit of planning ahead, the dining rewards are well worth this minor inconvenience. In sum, the Noodle Factory stands as a testament to the simple pleasure of good food served without pretense. While it may benefit from a few logistical improvements, its commitment to providing a cost-effective dining experience, alongside the satisfying culinary offerings, ensures its place as a beloved fixture in Montreal's dining scene. Whether you're a long-time patron or a curious newcomer, the Noodle Factory promises a dining experience that's both satisfying and memorable, all while keeping your wallet happy.“

“The restaurant has change for a while know .. it's not really a fondu place anymore like it used to be... it's most likely a Asian family restaurant. You will find the menu pretty interesting cause you can find almost every thing from chinese to Cambodian to Vietnamese to Thai food and more. ( South Asian) I would definitely recommended this place... for daily single meal or for a family and friends gathering.“

“Picture this, you're walking the night streets of Montreal Chinatown wondering what's still open. You come across this door with a staircase that leads upstairs and an Aquarium. You decide, "why not?", lets give this place a try.You walk up and are greeted by the waiter. You ask him why the place is called "Amigo", and he replies "well aren't we friends". And he's right, the moment you walk in, that's how you feel, like friends.Looking at the menu, there's a bunch of hidden little gems to cure your cravings. After having visited my Amigo a few times, I can tell you right now that the two things you guys should try is the Hot Sale (porkchop), and the Chicken Mayo. That stuff is absolutely bussin fr.best spot in chinatown hands town, i won't even let someone debate me on this. if you think i'm wrong you're delusional afthanks!!!!“

“Restaurant Ding-Xiang: A gem in Montreal's ChinatownIf you're on the hunt for authentic Chinese street food in the heart of Montreal's Chinatown, look no further than Restaurant Ding-Xiang. This cozy takeout joint may be small, accommodating only two clients at a time, but the flavors it offers are anything but diminutive.Upon stepping inside, you're immediately greeted by the enticing aroma of spices and grilled meat that permeates the air. It sets the stage for a delightful culinary adventure.During our visit, we indulged in a selection of delectable dishes, including the mouthwatering Chinese crêpe, flavorful beef skewers, tender squid tentacles, and delicious fried steam buns—all for a surprisingly reasonable price of $22. The chili spice used as a dry rub was a unique touch, and while I appreciated the preference for dry rub over oil, I must admit, I'd have preferred a bit more heat. For those who crave fiery food, a bolder chili kick would be a welcomed addition.Restaurant Ding-Xiang proudly offers tapas-sized portions, and they live up to their promise in delivering satisfying flavors despite the smaller servings. It's worth noting that the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible. However, due to its intimate size, it wouldn't be difficult to get the attention of the attentive staff even from the entrance, should assistance be required.Overall, our experience at Restaurant Ding-Xiang was delightful. The flavors and aromas took us on a culinary journey, and the reasonable prices left us content. The taste of their street food is enough to entice me to return for more. If you're a fan of authentic Chinese street cuisine, Ding-Xiang should be on your must-visit list.Vegetarian options: There are multiple vegetarian options available at reasonable prices.Kid-friendliness: The tapas portion will appeal to all ages.“

“Discovering this jewel nestled in the heart of Montreal's downtown Chinatown was an absolute delight. The service was warm and welcoming, with staff going out of their way to explain the menu and recommend delectable dishes. The Roasted Duck was a revelation, standing out as the star of our meal, while the Cantonese-style Chow Mein brought smiles to both the children and adults in our group. Despite its modest setting, the restaurant exudes a cozy and inviting atmosphere, making everyone feel at home. The prices are remarkably reasonable, offering great value for truly authentic flavors. This place rightly earns its five-star praise, and I'm thrilled to join its ranks of admirers. For anyone in search of genuine, scrumptious cuisine at an unbeatable price, this spot is a must-visit. Its charm and culinary excellence make it a standout in Montreal's dining scene.“

“Food that restores your appetite. The idea of going out to a restaurant usually generates cheerful anticipation. It’s an upcoming gratification that makes us salivate, a treat at the end of the week that keeps us motivated when the hours at the office make us languish. To make the most of these rewards, it is better to space out the visits. For some, one meal out a month is plenty, for others, it might be once a week. By analogy, it's like ice cream or any sweet dessert: moderation tastes better. So, imagine that in my case, with the Beijing, I went to four restaurants in two days. Of course, I love discovering new places, but I was totally on the verge of disgust. Now, nothing to help my cause, I had in my hands a menu of more than 200 options with around ten illustrations, enough to come back around fifty times in pairs and never have the same dishes! A torture for those who, like me, do not like to choose.Additionally, very little energy was invested in creating any “atmosphere” or visual signature. Basically, it was a room without music with tables, chairs, pictures of food and two big dragon heads. This is the scene. What about the act itself? It was an entirely positive performance and from my first bite, I found the pleasure of eating again. In addition, the staff, apart from the manager whose somewhat imperious manner “intimidated” my table companion, seemed friendly. Even behind their mask, we could make out a kind smile. We tried our luck with the delectable duck soup whose aromas took us on a journey, the pork chops with pepper sauce (excellent), the fried noodles with shrimp (once again, excellent), and very good ravioli with a peanut sauce. The portion size is surprising, considering the price! Once again, a Chinese restaurant that demonstrates unparalleled generosity. You can easily get by for around fifteen or twenty dollars per person. Moreover, the popularity of the establishment cannot be denied. At exactly 5 p.m., the tables were almost all occupied and soon there were people waiting for us.In the end, I'm grateful that my friend wisely chose Beijing for our second food stop of the day, since the food is very good there. Note for your possible visit to Chinatown!P.S.Congratulations to my friend for learning how to use chopsticks!Vegetarian options: Even with two hundred choices, it is mainly carnivorous options that abound.Parking: Chinatown, good luck.Kid-friendliness: Yes, but I don't know if there are high chairs.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes.“

“Food is amazing. We tried the gyoza, fried tofu and crispy chicken for appetizers; the last 2 looked like soft tacos. These were very good, my favorite were the gyozas. For Main dishes we the Szechuan chicken and the general Taos chicken; an excellent selection; the latter was a bit sweeter but crispy with amazing crispy bok choy. The cocktails were absolutely to die for. My husband had the cherry blossom (bourbon) which he absolutely loved. They didn’t have a cocktail with vodka which is my preferred alcohol but the bartender custom made the ginger/mezcal drink with it, and I couldn’t have enough. It delicious!! ?The vibe was calm/chill when we visited and that worked for us.“
