“I made a reservation to eat here as, honestly, there weren't many reservations left the weekend before Christmas and I managed to grab this one. Absolutely outstanding. It felt very old school, but in a good way! They opened the door to my Uber, which was so unexpected, and we were greeted at the door by the maitre d', as well as 3 or 4 waitstaff. Someone offered to take our coats and then we were seated. They will cook some of their offerings tableside. A proposal took place while we were there and was announced by the maitre d' after she accepted, with the whole restaurant celebrating the engagement. Everyone was super attentive and great at clearing the table or refilling waters without being disruptive. Our food was, I'm told, outstanding. Unfortunately, I had a cold and couldn't taste anything. Ugh, so frustrating. But my steak was tender and my family said everything (including my meal) was delicious! I would love to go back and order the same thing and actually taste it this time!!!“

“We visited Sept 21, 2025 for dinner. It was absolutely perfect. The location in the old port area was vibrant and beautiful. The service was great and the food was creative and exceeded our already high expectations based on other reviews. I was hesitant to go there because I’m not a big fan of rabbit, their specialty, but I gave it a try. We had the rabbit rillettes appetizer and rabbit pot pie and rabbit poutine for mains. It was all just amazing! The atmosphere on the heated porch was cozy too! La pin Sauté gets my highest recommendation!“

“WE LOVE IT! Came back twice during our trip to Quebec. Every time their service and food was top notch.
I highly recommend their Gourmand au Caramel Salé latte! The milk is so creamy and it’s not overly sweet is just perfect balance.

They have a large selection of items in their menu so honestly anyone could find something they will like, even if you’re vegetarian or have dietary restrictions.

They have an amazing system and you can tell! From the moment you arrive there’s someone that will assign you to a table or will tell you the wait time depending on how crowded it is. And it doesn’t matter how many people there are the food always gets to your table in a timely manner and your server is always looking out if you need something or making sure everything is good.“

“My wife & I had drinks & dinner here while staying at the hotel. Caesar salads to start, my wife’s w/ grilled chicken, which we both enjoyed. Then seared foie gras for her, beef cheeks w/ polenta & veggies for me - both excellent, mine was one of the most flavorful beef dishes I’ve ever had (& I’ve had a lot…). Our server took excellent care of us. Highly recommend !!“

We went there for breakfast and supper and as good as both meals were, I do believe they specialize in breakfast. The food was amazingly delicious and the portions were generous. L'expérience culinaire était tout simplement divine, sublimée par une ambiance des plus agréables. Pour couronner le tout, notre soirée s'est achevée par des digestifs au Bar 1608, ajoutant une note parfaite à notre expérience mémorable. “Delicious stop! We split a savory crepe and a sweet crepe. Both were great. The savory was Choix #7 (Bacon, fresh spinach, tomatoes goat cheese, basil pesto). Sweet was strawberries and bananas with a maple syrup drizzle. Both with flour. I wish we had tried the buckwheat out of curiosity. Chai latte was also good -lots of cinnamon, a little less cream/milk than I am used to but had a good flavor.“

Belle offre mieux être, au sein même de cet l'Hôtel et musée, à quelques pas, littéralement à pied, des attractions du vieux Québec. Quelle belle découverte lors de mon premier séjour. Tous et toutes sont les bienvenues, il ne s' agit pas d' un lieu de pèlerinage religieux.“

“I will start with the young waitress who was attentive and helpful . I told her I do not like fried chicken and asked if they have grilled chicken instead. She suggested Caesar Salad with grilled chicken. I agreed.
This salad was perfect. Both , quality and quantity were great. The chicken tasted very fresh, the lettuce were fresh and tasted very good with the salad dressing they used.
The size of this dish was generous.

“We went here twice during our stay in Québec and were really satisfied both times. Important for us was the allergene information, which is comforting and reliable. The food also is really good, especially the poutine and the ribs. Its a nice atmosphere and good service and definitely worth a visit.“
