“Super fast service, fresh and delicious!! Takeout order by doordash. Everything was super well packaged and hot!
When we get the urge for Chinese food, this is the place to order! The egg rolls took me back to my childhood!
It’s been several years since we ordered Chinese food and we will definitely come back often!“

“We celebrated my husband’s birthday here and had an amazing experience.
The service was outstanding — our waiter was incredibly attentive, explaining the menu and daily specials in detail, and helping us choose the perfect wine.

We started with the croquettes, then had the rib eye with carrots as our main dish — everything was delicious. We found it funny that, for my husband’s birthday, they placed a candle on a potato instead of a dessert 🤭 — such a quirky and memorable touch!

For dessert, we ordereded - apparently their house specialty. It was worth it.

Total including tip and 4 glass of wine was close to $400.

All in all, one of the best dinners we’ve ever had in Montreal. Highly recommended!“

“We had lunch at this # Brasseurs location on St-Paul E. in Old Montreal on Thursday May 2, 2024. We choose this because we had a very good time at the other on on Rue de St-Denis on Tue 4/30/24. We had just completed a 2-1/2 hr walking tour that ended near here. So exploring is thirsty work & it was lunch time. Big brewpub with 2 levels. The upper level was hosting about 100 high school students on a field trip. We sat at the bar and were immediately acknowledged by the busy bartender, Marina. She brought menus & waters and took our drink orders. I had a spicy Bloody Maria ($6.75) & my bride had a white wine ($10). I had a loaded, juicy burger w/ frites ($20) and she had the chicken Caesar salad ($16). Well prepared, burger hot & salad cold-perfect. “Been to quite a few steak houses in Montreal. With marketing, very difficult to tell the tourist trap from great food till it’s over. The Keg, has never let me down. Service is always 100%. Even with a full front of house, the kitchen has your food out in a VERY reasonable time. Fresh baked bread, great drinks, awesome prime rib, the wedge salad is perfect. Every bite shows the same temp, no black but raw in the middle. It’s shows the streak was cooked low and slow, you can’t fake that, it’s not possible. It also shows they care.“

“Tried Bar George my first night in Montreal. Surprised my wife after telling her we are eating bar food tonight lol. Was seated very fast, beautiful building. It was later and there was some music playing, not overbearing, comfortable volume. Our service was excellent and very prompt. The food was unbelievable, the flavor's, the textures, and presentation was fantastic. Even the asparagus that came with my beef wellington was the best I ever had. The wellington itself was outstanding, every bite an experience. The meal was a bit pricey, but felt reasonable with the atmosphere, the service, and the food quality we received. We will definitely be back for a special treat every now and then.“

“Went to Nouilles de Lan Zhou in Chinatown on a Friday night with a friend, and let’s just say… my noodle dreams were fully realized.

I kept it classic with the traditional Lanzhou hand-pulled beef noodles. The broth was rich but super clean — the kind that tastes like it’s been simmering for hours, full of depth without feeling heavy. The beef slices were melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the noodles? Chewy, bouncy, fresh perfection. Watching the chefs hand-pull them right in front of you feels like dinner and a show.

My friend went for the braised beef tendon in brown sauce with noodles — a heads up: it only comes in one (huge!) size. She loved the deep flavor of the broth but found the meat a little fatty — tendon fans, you’ll probably be into it.

We both chose the standard noodle thickness, which gave a great chew, but next time I’m definitely trying a thinner noodle to see if it ups the slurp factor.

The vibe is casual and lively — classic Chinatown energy. It gets busy, but service is quick and efficient. Totally worth the wait if you’re a noodle lover, but you can always order takeout and enjoy a cozy noodle night at home.
