We loved everything we tried. Brioche bread with garlic butter, the ravioli and papparedelles, steak, Caesar salad and chocolate cake. All delicious! My favourite was the ravioli.

“Just visited the Indian Bar Restaurant and this place is quite impressive. It is newly opened but already feels like a favourite hangout spot.
The vibe is amazing, chill lighting, great music, and a lively yet comfortable setup where you can relax with friends or enjoy a casual night out.
Their menu is full of Indian street style snacks with a modern twist. From spicy momos and cheesy sandwiches to crispy fries, rolls and tikkas, every bite hits just right. The food tastes fresh, flavourful and perfectly balanced with the drinks.
The bar section is equally impressive, great cocktails, mocktails and beer options at fair prices. The staff is friendly and attentive, always making sure you are having a good time.
This place may be underrated right now, but it surely will not stay that way for long. Once people discover it, it is going to be the next big thing for chill evenings and late night cravings.“

“Went in for the first time with my girlfriend's for a nice lunch on a Saturday afternoon the place was not too full as it was after 2:00 in the afternoon but we were greeted by Mina a lovely girl who served us with a smile and the food was absolutely delicious I had a vegetarian sandwich with a salad my girlfriend's had pizza and the salad with chicken the owner Mike was there in a minute to introduce himself and to make sure that we enjoyed it ,it was like being at home ,great food,great atmosphere will be back without a doubt.“

“I went there back in December last year with coworkers, and it made a very good impression on me that I decided to come back on my birthday. Drinks were very good, food was alright though more on the pricier side but its meant to shared so it's forgivable. The only thing that slightly bothered me is that on the website, it says karaoke starts at 9:30PM, but then they'd tell us it's at 10PM and even then the DJ hasn't been able to make it work until around 10:20-10:30 due to technical issues. It's fine if it has changed over time, but it would be a good idea to change it on the website so people wouldn't get frustrated. Granted, we still had fun and I had a great birthday. I'll for sure come back, but maybe next time not as early if karaoke officially starts after 10PM.“

The inside is pretty and inviting, but there are also two terasses - one in the front and one in the back. Eating outdoors in the summer in Montreal is the way to go and the back terasse was especially nice with the added privacy.
The food was great, no notes. We especially enjoyed the chicken burger, the salmon tartar, the oysters and the fried pickles.

“I somehow managed to be given the best seat in the house: next to the kitchen, and right next to the chef, Josh Crowe. The experience of sitting at the bar allowed me to better appreciate the inner workings of this 30-year old establishment. The staff were as kind and supportive of each other, as they were to the guests, who filled the restaurant, bar, and terrace on this warm May evening. I observed Chef Josh and co-owner Barbara Irwin continuously interacting with each staff member. I had never witnessed such a high level of communication, where information flowed seamlessly from the front of the restaurant to the kitchen and vice versa. My meal began with a great cocktail and was followed by a glass of Spanish red, which paired very well with the best pork chop that I have ever had. The 3-inch thick chop was perfectly cooked and the complex flavours of the dish melted together harmoniously. It has been a few years since my last meal there, but I will be back shortly to enjoy the social sidewalk terrace, which offers the best in NDG people watching. You may decide to go to the Tavern for the food, cocktails, and wine list, but you will also be treated to the culture that Barbara & Josh have established over the past decade. They have created something special and seem fully committed to maintaining the same high level of culinary experience and appreciation for their patrons. My overall impression of the Monkland Tavern is one highlighting a collaborative team approach, effective two-way communication, a concentrated attention to every detail of the dining experience, professional courtesy, and mutual respect. I was impressed and you surely will be too.“

Love to judge an establishment by the quality of their bathroom… You may think this looks like a dive pub but it has the nicest women’s bathroom of almost any bar I’ve been to. Food was 10/10, exactly what I wanted from this place. Is this what life in Dorval looks like??“
