“It was just Ok. Absolutely not the best General Tao in town. Hot & Spicy and Shing Kee in the West Island have better General Tao if you’re trying to find a really good GT. My wife didn’t likeKam do at all. My kids thought it was ok not great especially my son who loves shing kee which used to be Mr. spicy and Hot& Spicy before they moved from downtown to become Mr. spicy before shing kee. Too bad I was hoping the general taue would be as good as other reviewers were saying. But it was just ok. they don’t have an alcohol license and you cannot bring your own. No wheelchair, accessibility, and a little difficult for me with my cane because of the large step at the etrance“

“Irecently visited Oui Oui buffet in Saint-Laurent and was thoroughly impressed! The food was incredibly tasty, with an amazing variety of dishes to choose from. I was blown away by the quality and quantity of options available. The price-to-food ratio is excellent, making it an incredible value for the price. It's fantastic to have an Asian buffet option in Saint-Laurent, and Oui Oui definitely fills that gap. I was also impressed that they accept credit and debit cards, making it convenient for customers. The option to call ahead and reserve a table is also a great feature. My only suggestion for improvement would be to consider hiring more servers and cashiers. At times, the staff seemed overwhelmed, which led to slight delays in service. However, this is a minor complaint in an otherwise exceptional dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend Oui Oui buffet to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable meal. “Red Star is such a gem. We live downtown, so coming to this part of the city felt like discovering a totally different Montreal. Prices are amazing for how good the food is.
The two servers were so nice (one was in training and still did great). We had the hot & spicy soup and it was honestly way better than expected. And the dumplings?? WOW — they’re the star for a reason.

“I’ve been a client for years even before this restaurant was opened. All their plates are tasty, some are authentic from Yunnan, a province in the southwest part of china, and some are “southeast Asia fusion creation “ of the owners, they all are truly delicious 🤤 I live far but every time I m in Laval this is my must go place. All fresh ingredients, no pre-made frozen meals ever. Love 💕 recommend if you love Thai , Cambodian or Vietnamese food !“

Tonight my dasher forgot one of the bag of my order. After checking with a call to the restaurant, they gladly offered me to come drop it themselves!! Even offered me a drink to compensate the wait.

“Great quality Chinese food. I came here expecting a filling meal for a low price and I got one. Don’t miss out on the sticky rice and bbq pork. Just be mindful the roasted duck has many bones which was pesky to eat but it was very fatty and juicy. Workers were very nice and were patient with me trying to e transfer since it is cash only and no seating only takeout. Definitely coming back here again. 9/10“

“I've always seen this little shop next to c&t and we finally got curious enough to visit it. It is basically a takeout place. I highly recommend the cold noodles (liangpi). I've never had it before but it is very delicious and has a nice spice to it.

We also tried the pork bun, but it wasn't particularly amazing. They charge $3 for as is or $4 to prepare it for you on the spot (aka toast the bread and microwave the meat).

The owner can communicate with enough English to explain the menu (but probably more easily if you speak Chinese).“

I was not disappointed. Great food as always. Chef Jason Yu was Simon brother in law and use to be his chef. Now he is the chef of the new owner. I will definitely continue to come as always.

“Pleasantly surprised. Not sure if it was tastier because we went around Lunar New Year week? This restaurant would most probably be my go-to-place for MSG fix, if I lived in that area. Everything we ordered was pretty tasty. Enough to make me want to make my way there again as soon as my kidneys clear that MSG from my system.

The dim sum was good (by Montreal standard).
Spareribs cut were lean but not too lean. Steamed almost to perfection. Not quite fall off the bone but we did not struggle to get the meat off. A bit more cooked just so that we can sink our teeth into the soft cartilage would have been great (I see you there, my cartilage crunching peeeps!!). Taste was great. Just salty enough to enjoy that pork flavour.

The bean curd rolls were great! Soft outside, bambooshizzle goodness tender but just crunchy enough inside. I had 2 and I would have finished off the third one if my tablemate would have not picked the last one.

The pork BBQ buns were great. Not exploding with fillings but the filling was sweat-savory balanced and the dough was fluffy.

The cantonese chow mein was good. Decent sized but it was well cooked. Shrimps were not deveined but they had that bouncy quality and abundant. Chicken was breast meat but not dry. Lots of crunchy veggies. Everything was nicely dripped with a thick sauce but not so much sauce that you had a flooding situation. There was still much crunchy noodles left.

The beef noodles were good but lacked that hot wok from hell fiery and smokey quality. Lots of beef. Not thick slices but still tender and moist. They did not feel overdosed with tenderizer. Bean sprouts were still crunchy and still had some structure to it. No flop here. Bonus: the dish was not overly greasy but still had an inviting glow.

Negative comment last: what is up with their hot mustard? It so liquidy and powdery. And why sweet? Feels like watered-down Heinz honey mustard to which they added mustard powder. Did not like it.

And oh, is this a speakeasy? You need to go inside an AYCE sushi and then take a staircase to the basement to find this Chinese restaurant.“

“I've been going to KAM THAI PLUS for a really long time if I remember correctly since 2009 and PAD SEW BEEF it's a must and their GENERAL TAO is really fresh, crispy and flavorful 😋😋😋

The taste and quality did not changed at all from way back around 2009, surprisingly the nostalgic taste will remain alive up to date in my taste buds, cheers for that, extremely grateful for that, thank you very much 🙏“

The peanut butter dumplings were very fresh very delicious. The food itself was as fresher than most Chinese restaurants. I just had to minus 1 star just simply for their sesame beef. I was expecting tender strips of beef with sesame and nice and chewy instead they fry it and it taste exactly like a general tao chicken. So overall it was very good I would come back. This has been our go-to place for Christmas Eve dinner for many years and occasionally we order from them outside that for birthdays or other special events. The food has always been very good. Eggrolls, soup, we always switch up the pineapple chicken for chicken soo guy (delish!) and a new favourite, the crispy pork and black mushrooms. Very tasty and great texture if you like mushrooms! I have never eaten in there but will be doing so with friends soon.“

The chicken feet were good.
The dumplings seemed starchy and bland.
