“The Legendary Joe Beef. We had the Foie Gras double down, the rabbit, and the veal. This is basically the Rolls Royce of restaurants, you are paying for the name. Food was unlike anything I've ever had and was extremely flavourful, but Canadian shrinkflation means you pay a lot for a little, so I left hungry. Great experience though between the ambience and the staff, it was unforgettable.“

The menu did not change at all since this summer though, so I think it is nice to experience, but it doesn’t offer much variety if you come multiple times. Had lunch 3 times in 3 different months and all 3 times it was the same menu. Great food, beautiful presentation, would love to try it for dinner too, I am sure it is a completely different experience!“

“My wife and I had a fantastic evening here on Friday. It has a warm atmosphere that made us want to stay much longer than we would have normally. The food was exquisite, and a good value for the quality provided. The wine list was extensive, featuring wines from several French regions, as well as some from Italy, Spain, US, and Canada. The servers were attentive, speaking French and English, and there was a sommelier on staff to help with the wine. The plates weren’t overly large, but we were quite filled after three courses, wine, and an aperitif. We are definitely coming back the next time we’re in town.“

“We really enjoyed the brunch menu here. What we appreciated most was how beautifully each component was executed. The techniques were handled with precision and restraint, yet the complexity still came through in every element of the dish. Nothing felt loud or flashy; instead, there was a quiet refinement achieved through thoughtful balance and depth of flavour, along with a pleasing interplay of textures that unfolded as you continued to savour each bite. It felt like a well-judged balance between French classics and contemporary reinterpretation.

We ordered the Garlic Gratiné Snails (Escargot), Salmon Tartare, Pulled Pork Sandwich, Icelandic Cod, and the Chocolate Entremet Cake. The Escargot and Icelandic Cod were well executed. The chocolate cake was a real highlight and easily one of the best desserts we have had in a while. The ambience was cozy yet elegant, which complemented the food beautifully. We would highly recommend this place.“

“One of my favorite hotels ever!! Right in the heart of old Montreal, and a short walk to everything that Old Montreal has to offer. It sits on a beautiful cobblestone street, and is in an old, historic building. The rooms were beautiful, with windows that open to let in some great fresh air. I loved their little breakfast, which consisted of different breads each day, spread, cheese, and some cold pressed local juice. Just a top notch experience, and affordable too!“

“Le St-Urbain has become a family favourite! Every dish is delicious. I ordered cream of parsnip and apple soup pistachios, endive, sage. An absolute must try! It was the best soup I ever had. The seafood was fresh, meats are tender and original desserts. I ordered carrot ice cream with spicy chocolate cake that upon reading the ingredients you would think it would not work but it was delicious.

The menu changes frequently to reflect ingredients in season. Atmosphere is warm and cozy. Service was great, hard working caring team for sure. What a gem of a restaurant in Ahuntsic. I can not recommend this restaurant enough. Bravo!“

Un des meilleurs moments que j'ai pu passer dans un restaurant à Montréal. Une adresse incontournable, c'est une certitude : c'est devenu notre restaurant des grandes occasions ! ITHQ has a nice location and staff was very welcoming.

The magret de canard was what you would expect of the dish. We had turbot with couscous and strawberries, which I found a bit too sofistaced. I think that real talent shows when you can work with a limited number of ingredients.

“Delicious high end French courses. We had this on Christmas Eve and the waiter was very kind and helpful. The head chef was very good at his craft of cooking and the entire restaurant was extremely cozy and the atmosphere was amazing with soft lit candles and relaxing music. We had the 5 course meal and the ingredients are all local and freshly made. The free bread was also very fresh. You could tell the chef spent a lot of work and time preparing the dishes. Worth every dollar.“

“Gasperie Bistro Gourmand is actually located in what I would consider a food court. However, this is not a typical mall food court at Le Central. It is one of the coolest places I have seen anywhere in Canada!

When you walk into Le Central, you are greeted by loud music, dimmed lights, and a vibing atmosphere. Various types of foods and drinks are offered from the numerous stalls such as Gasperie Bistro Gourmand. You will find Italian pizza, Greek souvlaki, Japanese izakaya, or a nice Canadian bison burger. The latter was what I enjoyed from Gasperie Bistro Gourmand along with a nice pint of Gose sour.

The bison burger was flavourful. The beer was tasty and cold. The people around me sitting at the various communal long tables were all having a good time.

I highly recommend visitors or locals to visit Le Central and especially Gaspesie Bistro Gourmand in Montreal.“
