Boss Grill Barbeque •
Westmount

“Rather new restaurant that opened in July 2020 in Westmount. Since it's on a small street, it's fairly easy to park in front and pick up your order. I ordered the Boss Family combo which comes with a whole chicken and two sides (rice or potatoes AND grilled veggies or salad). Ordering by phone will save both you and the restaurant money so if you're doing takeout, just pick up the phone :) I arrived on time and my order was just about ready, which I rather prefer because I want my food nice and hot instead of being ready 10 min before I arrive and cooling down. Alice offered one of three sauces for the chicken. There's spicy, medium and BBQ. She recommended the medium sauce howeverrrrr I think she forgot to put it in the bag because when I got home, there was no sauce to be seen. Kudos for using compostable takeout containers and paper bags! Food looked great! The seasoning on the chicken is super good and the skin is grilled to thinness. Wing tips are crispy and flavorful, the breast meat is still moist and tender, and the legs are juicy. The roasted cubed Greek potatoes look almost deep fried and go great with the tzatziki sauce. The chicken kebabs are richly seasoned, just a little bit on the drier side but still acceptable. However, the beef kebab was dry, did not taste fresh and had no flavor. That's a no for me. Otherwise, the grilled veggies are good. I especially liked the juicy pieces of zucchini, but I felt like there was a lot of onions on the bottom and would've preferred more of the other vegetables. They're doused in (olive?) oil. All dishes except for the kebabs have a thin layer of oil on the bottom of the dish. I would definitely order the whole chicken again. It's a winner. The beef kebabs are a no go but the chicken ones I'd do again along with the roasted potatoes. For my whole meal, it cost just under $60. Reasonably priced and fast service grill.“
