“First time as was in town from Newport to see Little Jagged Pill at PPAC. Bartender (Tim?) was excellent friendly, knowledgeable on menu and made great handcrafted drinks. Manager (she moved here from NYC) was also excellent. I ordered the pork loin special, one of my friends ordered to porchetta over grits (I was a bit jealous as it was amazing. Overall a great experience.“

“Classic dark interior low lighting cocktail lounge. Our party of four enjoyed a mix of cocktails and a couple of beers at reasonable prices. Only a brief visit on this occasion as it was the one for the road as they say but would definitely return when I have more time.“

“A very chill and relaxing place to hangout with friends. Located behind a semi fake lingerie shop, this speakeasy style bar had great drinks and seat to lounge in and hang out with friends. The only downside being a short menu of food, but I still recommend the cheese plate. Just be aware it has a dark and moody ambiance to bring a flashlight/phone light.“

“Went to the Foxes Hill neighborhood in Providence to try out a Morroccan spot, but it ended up being closed. Luckily, right around the corner was Aguardente, which is a Guatamalen & Portuguese tapas restaurant. Love the interior decorations and warm welcoming vibe. We started with quejo de cabra, rellenitos, & the minha caiparinha. Then we had the batatas fritas, empanadas de pollos, polvo grelhado, & almondegas. Everything from the service to all of the dishes being seasoned perfectly and tasted amazing.“

“So, last night I needed to have a business meeting with a business partner that wanted to stay out of downtown after working all day in the city. We chose Hangry Kitchen, just 6 minutes from downtown. So much that I could say about the meal. But I will summarize it. I asked if I could get a side of tomato juice for my beer. (Yeah beer and tomato juice is amazing). They did not have any canned or bottled tomato juice. THEY JUICED SOME TOMATOS! The rest of the meal was just as memorable. Check them out (in between food truck visits)!“

My husband and I go there weekly for some of the most amazing food in Providence and love to see our Gift Horse friends! It almost feels like your not even in Providence anymore.Started off with some apps, i got the Spicy Shrimp( the sauce on the shrimp was very very good!) and the calamari. I personally dipped my calamari in the spicy shrimp sauce but thats a conversation for a different day.Unfortunately i didn’t get to have my drink in a flamingo or a lil piggy but thats ok. The drinks were very good!The Chicken Milanese was a bit too thin (my opinion) but it was good.The steak was cooked to perfection, the mushroom risotto was very very good too. Im definitely getting the tomahawk next time i come.“

“Got an order to go. Everything was so fresh. Best Guac & Salsa ever! The veggie Burrito was huge and so fresh & delicious! The fish tacos that my friend ordered was the best she has ever had! Even ordered margaritas to go & they gave us a full bag of ice & freshly made margarita’s that they poured in a bottle! This place is a hidden gem! Sometimes these hidden gems that seem to be a “hole in the wall” are the absolute best! This is one of those places! Definitely recommend!“

“A girlfriend and I tried Honeybird when it had opened. Small but beautifully modern. We tried the fried green tomatoes, the pierogis and the hot chicken boa buns. All were very tasty, juicy and flavorful. We sat at the bar and had adequate services, they weren't neglectful nor overbearing just not as personable as I'm used to while sitting at a bar. Overall we enjoyed our time there.

The location is prime (right on South Main) and the inside is cozy, full of character, and gives off speakeasy vibes. The woman who welcomed and served us was more than willing to answer any questions about the drink menu, which had the perfect mix of cocktails (ranging from fruity to herbal and beyond), beer and wine. We ordered the Limoncello Spritz and punch — both tasted AMAZING, plus were poured into pretty glassware (aka making this place a hotspot for IG-worthy pics, which our hostess also advised us on regarding best lighting!). All in all, The Walnut Room is PVD’s newest gem and offers stunning, safe (remember: wear your mask!) service and space, which makes these not-so-normal times feel pretty special.
