“Do not live here if you care about your car. On two separate occasions my car was vandalized and my roommates car was stolen from the off street parking. The landlords have done nothing to improve the security.“

“I visited about a week ago to grab food quickly before boarding my cruise. I was in a hurry because the cruise boarded soon, and I let them know. “Location/decor/ambiance: the owners have tried to turn the spacious brick and beam interior of a former factory building into a ghetto-ish inner cityscape skateboard park using graffiti-style airbrush graphics, little skateboards that serve as bar chair seat backs, concrete floors painted with Providence manhole covers, etc. Visually, the effect is mixed. I “get” what the owners are trying for, but it isn’t for me an “attractive” dining decor. It looks much more like a dance club for young twenty-somethings. I quickly adjusted to the inner-city grunge decor, but what we couldn’t adjust to was the VERY loud rap/hip-hop music blaring out of some very robust speakers non-stop. Talking was difficult. Yes, I’m an older person, but I don’t begrudge anyone their musical sensibilities… provide its not full of “***** and “nigga” and roaring out at at least 90 decibels. Whatever they’re trying to be, they need to remember that they are l (at 10 am) a restaurant, not a dance club. Food & service: unexpectedly, given the above criticism, the food was outstanding, I mean really good. Caught us off guard. Just beautifully imagined and realized. Would I return? Probably not. Even the great food cant quite overcome the soundscape. Interesting place, though“

“Amazing, Authentic, and Delicious Liberian experience and Joel (1/2) of the JoRo name origin was so personable and hospitable, I only wish I had time to have gone back several times 🤭

I even got to meet the magic behind the goodness in the kitchen.

I only got pics of our appetizers as we were hungry and chowed on our mani courses. Started with a 1930 DAQ, Wawtuhmelon and a Vino Rosso Gaio - all drinks were tasty! We started with the Truffle fries and the Crispy Duck Meatballs- oh my both were great! The flavor in the Duck meatballs was amazing! The sweet chili glaze just hits it out of the park! On to dinner I ordered the Steak Frites - excellent flavor and cooked perfect! Wife ordered the Chicken Picatta - very tasty with a great lemon flavor! “After a disappointing experience at another bar/restaurant just down the street earlier in the evening—where we ended up leaving without even being served—we decided to change course and stopped into this bar/tapas lounge. I’m so glad we did.

“Didn’t take pictures of my food but everything was great! We tried the empanadas (chicken was better than beef), fried yuka, side of plain tostones, and the chuleta entree. The chimichurri on it was amazing, potatoes were done well. For dessert we ordered the churros and it was delicious! Definitely shareable. I had the watermelon mule- delicious and not too sweet. It was a comfy clean stay and The food at The Brook was tasty with good portions! The pancakes were fluffy and huge! “I very much enjoyed my experience at OURS. The food was delectable and the drinks were tasteful. I very much enjoyed the wings with the Garlic as well as the Steak Tikka. It was $30 which some might consider pricey, but came with a very large portion of food. It included hummus, nan, rice, a salad and of course the steak, so I’d say it’s fairly priced. Overall I enjoyed the food and will certainly return but next time I’ll try the hookah!“
