“I stopped by the new Ricotti's location in Cranston after hearing they had moved from Johnston, and I'm glad I did.

The drive from my office was easy, and the location is convenient. I parked along the street before realizing there's additional parking behind the building. One small heads-up: there's a fire hydrant right out front, so just make sure you don't accidentally park in front of it.

Walking in, I was immediately greeted by the owner, who was incredibly welcoming. The restaurant was spotless and made a fantastic first impression.

I placed an order for four sandwiches and two hot wieners. The owner was working by himself, and within a few minutes several more customers came in behind me. Even with the sudden rush, he never made me feel like he was trying to hurry me through my order. Instead, he took the time to answer my questions, explain the menu, and point out that the starred items were customer favorites. Since it was my first visit, that was genuinely helpful.

I ordered the Italian Deluxe, and I watched him make each sandwich with care. Nothing was rushed or thrown together. Every sandwich looked like it was built with intention, carefully layered and wrapped twice in butcher paper to keep everything together. That kind of attention to detail is becoming rare. I'd much rather wait an extra 10 or 15 minutes for a sandwich made with pride than get something assembled in 90 seconds just to move the line.

Before heading back to the office, I tried the hot wieners in the car. They were excellent. I'm a big fan of New York System-style wieners, and these absolutely held their own. I'd comfortably put them somewhere in my top five to top ten. The only thing I noticed was a slightly stronger salty flavor than I'm used to. It may have been the celery salt, the seasoning blend, or maybe mine just needed a little more meat sauce. Either way, I'd order them again without hesitation.

Back at the office, I finally dug into the Italian Deluxe, and that's when I understood why Ricotti's has the reputation it does. The sandwich was outstanding. The only thing I'd change next time is asking for no pickles, but that's entirely on me because I'm just not a pickle person. They were thick-cut and looked homemade, so if you like pickles, you'll probably love them.

Honestly, the sandwich barely needed anything. My brain automatically wanted to reach for salt, pepper, and oregano because that's what years of Subway conditioned me to do, but after a few bites I realized it didn't need any of it. The ingredients spoke for themselves.

The three other people I ordered for all said the same thing: the sandwiches were exactly how they remembered them, and nobody had a single complaint.

Great food, a spotless restaurant, an owner who clearly takes pride in his work, and sandwiches that are made with care instead of speed. That's the kind of local business I want to support, and I'll definitely be back.“

There always busy have a lot of speacils love the buy one get one free deals when they run them or 35 percent off deals. Food is great my husband loves the number 9 I like pastrami and Swiss cheese or the italian, rice bowls are good also . One of the nicest Subways we have been to! Clean facility with nice seating area. The staff were amazing and so welcoming. They were kind, friendly, and very patient as my family of 4 prepared and gave their orders, especially my 6 year old. :) Our sandwiches were amazing and fresh! The customer service is great, everyone has a smile on there face and very helpful as far as accommodating for dietary needs.
