“Had to try this establishment as I’ve heard great things. Let it be known, there oven is gas and I do prefer wood fired, however the dough was good enough to almost make up for it. Surprisingly, it appears to be a Neopolitan pizza, however the pizza had a nice crisp to the crust, not huge, just enough to not make it a soft typical Neopolitan style pizza. So credit to them for being different and the crust was also soft and light, very nice combination. Btw, we opted for a simple Margherita, which is a baseline for judging any Neopolitan style pizza. All in all, we would definitely go back.“

“Loved this little tucked away spot. The ambience and service was delightful! Also the happy hour oysters were some of the best I’ve had all summer . The fries and mussels with curry sauce is my new favorite dish and I had this dish a week ago and I’m pretty sure I’ve thought about it once a day since.
Hope to be back soon!“

“5 stars all around! This place is delicious! Off-season, Wednesday night October, and it was packed. Despite the crowd, our server was attentive and helpful. Highly recommended daily oyster selection and the clam chowder. I enjoyed the featured halibut…. Not sure how often that makes the menu, but if you see it, try it! And save room for the snowball from hell. It’s worth it! Met the GM who graciously gave us a tour and treated us like celebrities. I wish we had more time here… I’d eat here everyday!“

“Today we made a pilgrimage to Basil Yu’s restaurant, Yagi Noodles. My son happened to see that Basil had become a successful restaurateur while he was watching one of Guy Fieri’s shows. We had become acquainted with Basil when we were all involved with a Boy Scout Troop in Manchester NH. We were disappointed to discover that Basil wasn’t at the restaurant, however we got over it when we found out it was due to a commitment to a fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation. Basil, You weren’t there, but your food is delicious. You get the Merit Badge! You weren’t there, but your staff is spectacular! You get the Merit Badge! We wish you continued success! “We went to 1639 for an anniversary dinner and could not have been happier. Food was delicious, ambience was perfect, and Natasha was one of the best servers we have ever had at any restaurant (genuinely...super knowledgeable of all the dishes, great personality). They also have a bar on the deck which was perfect for after dinner drinks. Whole evening was great but especially want to thank Natasha for a phenomenal experience.“

“Great environment for cocktails, as well as a hearty meal. We enjoyed eating near the bar, where the bartenders maintained a fun, energetic atmosphere. From our meal, the crab cakes and Ribeye steak were standouts. Service was plentiful without being intrusive. Noise level approached boisterous, so be forewarned if you need to have an intimate conversation. Finally, the premiere real estate and great service come at a price, so be prepared to recognize these factors when the bill comes.“
