“We just came by boat with two little kids not realizing the new fall hours. The employee working saw them peaking into the window and was so kind bringing them each out doughboy donuts. It was such a generous and thoughtful gesture that truly made these two little kids day! We look forward to coming again in the spring (during hours your open)“

“We enjoyed having breakfast at this wonderful place while in Newport, RI. The people who own it and those who work there are AMAZING, friendly, and take the time to talk to customers while keeping service at the top of their list. They (from the kitchen to the front door) look like they love working there and have created a loving family environment. Of course, the line was out the door and down the street, but that was okay because everyone enjoyed visiting each other. There is just one warning, the portions are enormous. You know when my husband can't finish it, it's a lot. 🤣“

“The piadina are amazing along with the homemade pasta and prepared items. The Portsmouth store is much easier to access than Middletown (parking) and the staff are great. I would give 5 stars if they were open til at least 5:30pm weeknights. It’s hard to get there by 5pm and I imagine they lose quite a bit of business from those of us wanting to grab dinner on the way home from work.“

To avoid the staff becoming frustrated with you, make sure to: 1) Pick your menu items quickly and 2) pick drinks quickly, and if they are from fridge take drinks with you to final register If you do not do this, you may be called out in public by folks at register, and it can be a little embarrassing. Check menu online and know what you want before you go and you should have a good experience!“

“This place has the customer service that America desperately needs. America NEEDS this customer service. Sweet ladies working there asking us how our day was, if we like the food, where we were from, like they treated us like royalty. They came to our table to pack our stuff when all we asked was for a bag. Linguica bread was delicious, they grill it and serve it hot. Latte was perfect and their breakfast sandwiches are tasty. But would made everything so much better so much greater was the service and a smile. The lady was smiling from the moment we walked into the moment that we walked out.“

There are tables inside and outside if you want to hang out. You can buy their own products and packaged coffees. I bought a latte, the coffee was really fresh. I think it has a few awards too. “We go here a few times a year. We ordered donuts today for my son's birthday. We did it through door dash. I wrote a little note asking for specific donuts that he would like. They gave us what we wanted, plus one extra, plus a little note. It's the little things in life that mean a lot to me. So i take appreciate that. It means we will keep going back. “We were vacationing in Newport from Wisconsin and stopped in at Cappy’s. Sue the bartender was friendly and a wonderful bartender. The owner Joe, what can I say….what a guy! Joe saw us walking to our Airbnb and yelled at us on the street asking when we were headed back home. Joe is a gem of a bartender. He has a gift of gab and can hand out the bs too. Nice local establishment with friendly customers and bartenders. We had Dan as a bartender too and he was a friendly, great guy! “Super tasty bagels, great pricing and friendly staff. It seems like this place is super popular with the locals. The only thing I think could be improved is efficiency of the behind the counter staff. The wait for the bagels was insane, and according to a local is very common. I think he said “if you want to kill an hour, come to Bristol Bagel Works.” While we didn’t wait an hour per se, it was probably a good 20-30 mins with only 6 people ahead of us. I would definitely come back if I was in the area.“
