“This is an update to an old review. Went in last night to pick up three sandwiches. Bread was stale on all of them. Couldn't even finish the sandwich it tasted that bad. I won't be back to this chain in the future. Overpriced for mediocre food.“

The interior has expanded significantly, offering plenty of seating while maintaining the charming, rustic atmosphere and small-town feel. “My father had seen a feature on Chronicle about The Beef Barn and how they had not raised their prices in the recent years, and we just had to try it. We actually drove fairly far to get to the Bellingham location, but it was extremely worth it. The food was really high quality, and the service was incredibly quick. I think they could easily charge $6-7 for each of these sandwiches and we'd still think it was a great deal, but the fact that they haven't raised their prices is all the more reason to keep coming back. Turkey Burger ($4.75) - I didn't actually order this, but both my mother and my partner got it and I ended up having a few bites. The actual thickness of the patty was quite substantial, and my mother actually had trouble finishing her portion because it was so large. The patty was juicy and had nice grill marks on it that tasted of being on the barbecue, and it was an extremely well made burger. Next time I stop by , I'm definitely making this - the meat was really well seasoned and the ratio of meat to veggies to bun was spot on! Fish Sandwich ($4.50) - This was probably the most average of the 3 sandwiches, but for $4.50, it was still an excellent piece of fish with some nice veggies on a bun. The fish itself was a chunk of fish (not ground up like fish sticks), and it was nice and crispy. It was also large enough to cover the whole bun so can't complain here. Roast Beef ($4.75) - This was by far the highlight of the evening - the roast beef sandwich is absolutely to die for. The meat was so incredibly beefy - it tasted like actual beef instead of processed lunch meat, and it was so thin and soft that you didn't even have to chew it very much. Honestly, I think I would be able to eat this with just my gums. The meat was melt in your mouth delicious and tender, and the 3 oz. feels like enough to fill the whole sandwich, which was something we were worried about at first. I truly can't believe how delicious the meat was, and the roll was nice and fluffy as well. I would get this every day if I lived closer, and the price can't be beat. All in all, this is a stunning 5/5 stars. All of the sandwiches were great, and the price is amazing. We were able to feed 4 people for just around $30 and all of us were stuffed at the end of the meal. And not only that, the ingredients are incredibly fresh and flavorful. This is a gem of a find - definitely stop by if you are in the area (and make the trip if you are not!)“

“Atmosphere has always been friendly and a bit rushed, due to the fast paced take out service. They cook them up fast while you wait, and the sandwiches always come out hot and fresh. They have some of the best steak and cheeses. That's the only thing on the menu I can really speak to because it's my go to when I want a juicy, cheesy, and oniony steak sandwich. My one con would be that I want the subs to be fuller, but they usually are not. However, that doesn't deter me from coming back time and again to enjoy it.“

“Really impressed with the professionalism. There’s one woman with glasses in the afternoon when I go who seems like she’s a manager but she always makes my day. Not sure if she is a manager but the kindness really means a lot I know it’s just a job but kindness goes far. Always clean when I go in even though I do see people leave garbage the employees keep good work taking care of litter bugs so I’m very impressed bc some of the people that come in leave pretty big messes but they tend to it quick even though it’s not that kind of restaurant!“

Being from Westerly we are pretty proud of our Italian cuisine especially our meatballs but when I asked what Bree's is known for and i was told meatballs i knew i had to try it and I'm glad i did.
