“Stephanie was an exceptional bartender—easily one of the best servers we've ever had. She was incredibly knowledgeable about gluten-free options, which made a huge difference for us. Her attention to detail was impressive, from promptly changing out silverware between courses to keeping our drinks filled without us ever needing to ask. The food was outstanding! The carpaccio was the best we’ve had, and the gluten-free s’mores dessert was absolutely delicious—a perfect ending to the meal. The atmosphere had a great vibe with stunning views, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!“

“The main restaurant is phenomenal! Have never had anything there that was not good! The grab and go is great also! The broasted chicken is out of this world! Nice and hot, juicy, very well seasoned! I absolutely love the potato wedges! But the Mac and cheese I'm sorry it's horrible! I do not recommend getting the Mac and cheese at all! Also, am not a fan of the size of the sides for 2 person meal! They're small and can only really feed one person! In both places the service staff are friendly, very kind and do a great job! Both restaurants are clean and well put together decor wise! I eat at both restaurants on a regular basis! At least 2-3 times a month! I give 5 stars for the main restaurant and 4 stars for the grab and go! I realize they're new and still getting the swing of things! I'll definitely be remaining a regular customer of both!“

“I had a birthday celebration at this restaurant. We sat near the cozy fireplace on a chilly night. The cheeseboard (varied cheeses, focaccia bread, honey, blackberries, nuts, jam, greens) and Pt. Judith calamari were beautifully presented. Excellent bottle of Pinot Grigio from Tuscany, Italy added to food, Staff was very accomodating. I enjoyed mussels, scallops, little necks over pasta in scampi sauce. Others had the salmon as well as the bolognese. It's a very roomy, quiet setting near the water. Staff came out to sing happy birthday with a luscious ice cream dessert with a candle on top. I was pleasantly surprised. We will return to this place for sure!“

“Last night, we walked towards The Aviary's entrance surrounded by beautiful flowers and lots of hydrangeas. Magical. The restaurant itself did not disappoint as it too was absolutely lovely. The wait staff was superb. Nice and efficient and they got every order perfectly. We were delighted. However, the food left a bad taste for sure. We were served room temperature brussel sprouts that were not cooked! Calamari was overcooked and rubbery. Pasta dish was floating in oil!! Total disappointment. Sadly, this beautiful restaurant has not earned our repeat business.“

“We made reservations for my 40th birthday while traveling through the area and it was recognized by our hostess as well as our waiter. Attentive staff, fantastic service and delicious food! I had the lobster ravioli and my husband enjoyed the duck. Both were excellent! No kids menu but they made chicken tenders and fries for our toddler. Not a place for children but they certainly accommodated and made him feel welcome as well. We requested to have a quiet corner table to not disturb others and dined earlier in the evening. Book ahead as the place was packed when we left!“

“Just finished great meal. Huge lobster roll, high quality kids chicken and big beefy kids burger. I had the fish n chips which was amazing! Old Bay fries and what had to be a whole Cod! The best part was Peter N. He was very informative, quick in serving the kids which lets Mom and Dad relax. Such a great day and great meal.“

“TRAFFORDS TESTIMONIAL Perhaps once in a lifetime you find someplace really special for you and your spouse. Seven years ago we went to Trafford’s for the first time. What we remember about it was how it made us feel. Both of us work hard in our professions and to go out to dinner and find wonderful food, excellent and attentive wait staff, and relaxed environment simply made our day. We then came every month at least once mostly twice to enjoy the excellence and serenity at Trafford. Sadly we lost this when the fire occurred for several years. Then absolute joy when Trafford’s reopened and we found the same wonderful food, wonderful staff in a simply beautiful rebuilt building. The joy we felt and the absolute calm and serenity is all back for us. Recently we celebrated my 76th birthday at Trafford with my entire family. It was amazingly special for me and we had our special event upstairs with the entire place devoted to us . Chrissy our server did an awe inspiring service for us making it perhaps one of the most special birthdays I have ever had I have attached a picture of this special moment. I work in the computer software business doing quality assurance 10 hours every day. Being able to calm down and relax completely at Trafford’s is simply a joy for us. To the girl who insisted after my father asked if everything in our order was in the bag that it was, to your manager who was unhelpful and should be dealt with accordingly and whomever portioned out the meal should be reprimanded as well. Our oven is broken on Thanksgiving and your incompetence made it an even greater day. “We’ve had a couple meals at the Helmway and they were delicious! The calamari is crispy and done just right, the harvest salad is excellent! The scallops were done to perfection…sweet and tender. The lobster risotto is excellent too! We had the cinnamon toast bread pudding…just wow!! The wine selection is just right! We’ll definitely go back and highly recommend the Helmway!! “They were able to accommodate me on a busy weekend, even let me choose my seat even though I was alone and they had people continuing to arrive. The hostess and waitress were friendly, the food was delicious (pesto shrimp pizza), the view was nice as it's right on the water, and I chose a table that allowed me to see it properly. The band I was particularly happy about- I thought they were fantastic- they played early rock n roll, and I wish I asked their name.

It's a really relaxed atmosphere, not fancy, think old patio furniture. My table was not steady and rocked when you moved, the chairs were plastic, but I didn't mind. If you want a good meal on the water and are not picky about that, I'd recommend this place.

“The food here was delicious! We were a bit disappointed that they were not able to accommodate a group of 5 to sit by the window despite the fact the restaurant was basically empty. Most of the tables by the window were for 2. They could have easily pulled up another table. Instead we were seated in a semi circle type booth which isn't ideal for a fancy dressed up dinner and having to scooch in and be stuck unless you're on the end. The food was amazing so I will be going back but the service throughout the night was subpar at best.“

From our meal, the crab cakes and Ribeye steak were standouts. Service was plentiful without being intrusive. Noise level approached boisterous, so be forewarned if you need to have an intimate conversation. Finally, the premiere real estate and great service come at a price, so be prepared to recognize these factors when the bill comes.“
