“Cafe Tempo is hands down the best staff and coffee in Rhode Island. It never disappoints. I hope they never get too corporate or big and lose their neighborhood charm. The girl who answered let me know that they haven’t received an order for me but checked with ordered. She then asked me my info so she can let everyone know to watch for this order. 5 stars for sure. 😊“

“Popped into this café this morning with my family and was pleasantly surprised at their selection of croissants available. Giant gourmet croissants. I had the pistachio croissant and the filling was absolutely delectable, very nice texture and not too sweet. My husband had the chocolate croissant and he said it was delicious. Our little one loved the matcha cookie. My favorite was their iced matcha with almond milk, very nice that they offered matcha! The owner was very kind and you can tell the staff really values their customers’ experience.“

“Overall very good food, chefs are great. Summer hires are rude and impatient however. So just “for future reference”: The line gets crowded quickly, small place. To avoid the staff becoming frustrated with you, make sure to: 1) Pick your menu items quickly and 2) pick drinks quickly, and if they are from fridge take drinks with you to final register If you do not do this, you may be called out in public by folks at register, and it can be a little embarrassing. Check menu online and know what you want before you go and you should have a good experience!“

Though many RISD students come here regularly, the general public seem to always drop by and enjoy toasty treats and healthy meals. The cafe serves excellent fresh sandwiches, wraps, burritos, soups, salads, fruit, local yogurt, organic smoothies, espresso drinks, fair trade coffee, and organic tea. A lot of the stuff is kept local, organic, and healthy-conscious.“

It's very bright and colorful inside and they have a ton of beverage options. They also have like 20 topping options for your drink! I will definitely going back. I'd recommend that you pay the extra $2.00 for the biscuit upgrade and not skimp; it makes a big difference. My friend ordered the breakfast sandwich on an English muffin and it was good, but not quite as good as on the biscuit. The coffee here is also excellent. If you're planning to stay at the cafe, you should know that it can be tough to get a table. A lot of customers seem to study or work here for extended periods, so tables only infrequently become available. I'd recommend ordering your food and drink to go by default whenever you visit; you can always nab a table if you're lucky enough to have one become available while you wait for your order.“
