“This is a great little Latin and Japanese fusion ice cream shop. The fish shaped cones with a treat at the bottom are delicious on their own. “First visit to Chomp, RI while visiting its newest chef and son in law, Max. Wow this place was hopping. Excellent atmosphere with hysterical signage. I like the window to the kitchen so you can see the chefs and it affords easy access to the plates for the wait staff. McKenna was our waitress and she was Great - attentive and helpful on suggestions. The food was Excellent! All their items are made in house - sauces, dressings, toppings, Burgers, Corned Beef etc!We started with the salt and vinegar Sprouts - oh the flavor and the bacon fat mmm, mmm!!! Then we had the Classic Smash Burger with a GF bun for our GF daughter! Outstanding! Then the wife had the Mediterranean Burger - really tasty! And I had the Truffle Shuffle Burger with Truffle fries- oh Yum! Flavorful and nice and hot off the griddle! Thank you for a great experience and a wonderful meal - We shall be back on our next visit to Providence!!!“

“Cafe Tempo is hands down the best staff and coffee in Rhode Island. It never disappoints. I hope they never get too corporate or big and lose their neighborhood charm. The staff wears these visor hats now reminiscent of McDonald’s. I know I’m nit picking but could be the sign of a more corporate mindset“

“Do not live here if you care about your car. On two separate occasions my car was vandalized and my roommates car was stolen from the off street parking. The landlords have done nothing to improve the security.“

“I was excited to hear that Hometown Poke opened up a café in the Mount Hope area. The owners are extremely friendly and hardworking, and so I was happy to see their dreams unfolding. Additionally, I really enjoy the fact that Hometown Poke sources their ingredients and products locally whenever possible from New England vendors, meaning when you support them you are supporting our community. The café is very spacious, with a combination of large and small tables to accommodate all guests sizes. The decorations are trendy, minimalist, and overall a great space for dining or enjoying a cup of coffee. When you’re ready to order, you can choose from one of their signature bowls or build your own. I decided to build my own poke bowl with mixed greens, chicken, and all the fixings that I liked. Truly a wonderful and delicious experience! And just an FYI, their protein portions are large compared to most poke places! I decided to try their South Toast which had ricotta, sea salt, thick cut bacon and local honey. It was delicious! I need to try the others next time i visit. I also got a matcha latte which was nice and warm for a cold fall afternoon. Overall I really enjoyed my time at Hometown Poke and will definitely be back to try more!“
