“Holmes Hotdogs and catering may be the best local restaurant you could ever have the pleasure of visiting. I first came here over a year ago and I knew then it was something special. If I had a friend from another country visiting, and I could choose one place to show them a true slice of what America should be, I would take them here without a second thought. Holmes has a small menu, and I believe it is perfect. Because of their small menu, I believe they are able to assure every single item on it is made with quality and care. They recently added a new item, the bird dog, to their menu. The bird dog features a chicken tender, pickles, and honey mustard on a hot dog bun. I thought the bird dog was incredible, and I'll be sure to get it again with onions next time. I would personally recommend their chicken sandwich, which is always piping hot and made to order, and their sausage dogs, which I personally believe are their standout menu items, especially with sauerkraut and onions topping them. Holmes has an atmosphere unlike any other restaurants I've ever been in, you can tell the owner and employees truly care about not just the quality of their food and service, but also the wellbeing of their community. I've never felt like I don't belong when I walk into Holmes. I've wrote all of this without even mentioning their incredible prices, which are comparable to other local locations, however the quality of the food, service, and everything else about Holmes is what makes this location worth so much more than any other in the area. Out of anything I've ever reviewed, Holmes has worked the hardest and consistently proved their 5 star rating, and I have no doubt if I reviewed them in another year, they would continue to hold it.“

“This was my first time here and I can say they did NOT disappoint! I had read other reviews that their breakfast was really good and again they did not disappoint. I had the steak and eggs with grits l; and my fiancé had the Philly omelette with home fries. Both of us finished our plates up!! The environment of the restaurant was so calm and homey. Almost everyone knew everyone and everything felt warm and cozy. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the mood for a good breakfast. “The atmosphere is clean, food is fair nothing fancy. I had the hamburger steak as well as the potato salad and coleslaw. It was all really good. My mom had a chili cheeseburger that was just okay because the chili on top just looked like browned hamburger with not much flavor. All-in-one wasn't bad and the prices were pretty good. I'd probably go back.“

“Had the week off and stopped by for some happy hour and some food. One of the owners daughter in law was helping out so regular staff could have some time off. Audrey I think her name was. She was awesome and very helpful. There was no one in the place besides a few club members. Food was very good, nice portions. “Awesome customer service! I made a Togo order today, as my first visit here. Dustin recommended the nachos and did a great description on them so I decided to try them. First off, the large order is HUGE! Sooooo good! The flavor was on point. We also got a few burgers, and they were also awesome! I love that the ranch is homemade. Dustin took his time bagging our items, and going over my to go order. He was making sure that I didn’t need anything else with our food. We will definitely be back! “The food was great! We all had the “Black and Blue”. Filet medallions were so tender; fried green tomatoes were the best I've ever had; crème brûlée was wonderful as well. Most importantly the service was exceptional. Way beyond expectations. She never let our glasses get empty and made sure our food preferences were honored. She kept asking if we needed anything. Lauren was kind, friendly and had a beautiful smile. She made our experience memorable. Lauren also praised her manager, Dan, stating he was the best she ever worked for, and that the entire staff loved working for him. Coffee needs a little work , it's bit too rough at this location.
I know, i know i'm picky only because coffee is not cheap.
Too many jalapeno's in the omelet n meats are over cooked in the Farmers omelet.
This is my 3rd location comparing the coffee and meals.“

“I fully believe this to be the best Waffle House I have ever been to. The staff were very welcoming and continued to clean as they went. The staff didn’t leave each server to their own table but instead helped each other and checked in with other tables if they thought they may need something. However, what I enjoyed the most was the atmosphere. Regulars that have been coming here for 10 years were joking with staff and vice versa. It felt welcoming and at home. If I lived closer, this would be a regular weekend treat.“

I have enjoyed everything I have had there, ribs, BBQ chicken, pork tenderloin, and brisket, but my favorite is their pulled pork BBQ plate with greenbeans and cole slaw, the best ever! “Get it while you can, this is a dying breed. Quintessential Gen X burger place. My whole visit just now could have been an hour of MTV from the 80’s with the Bowl game on all TV’s. Not being a burger person, I opted for the chicken tenders this time. Not the best, but okay. My husband and his brother were with me and they are both burger eaters, so they were both quite satisfied. The sweet potato fries were excellent, as were the regular potato wedge fries. I highly recommend the fry sauce. There is an extensive bakery menu and excellent shakes. Restrooms were exceptionally clean.“
