“This is a nice place on the non-water side of Bay Street. While the menu looked amazing, it didn’t taste quite as amazing as we had anticipated and as other reviews stated. The shrimp tacos were overpowered with Cole slaw, for example. We also could barely taste the bacon in the queso. However the service was friendly. On the plus side, a single taco comes with two tortillas and had enough toppings for two tacos“

“We decided to stop in last minute with 4 kiddos after a long day. We were worried about it being a little too nice to have our kids with us but our waitress was immediately more than accommodating. First the food was phenomenal . I had the best Tom Kha soup i’ve ever had. The yellow curry was amazing, pork and shrimp dumplings were great, even the kids chicken tenders were so good. Prices were very reasonable especially as portions were large. But above else our waitress Chelsea was amazing. She was the only one serving and it was fairly busy. I would have never guessed she was the only one! She hustled so hard and we hardly had to ask for a thing because she was one step ahead. What’s more is she thanked us for our patience when we didn’t have to exercise every much. Her kindness and well wishes to our family were such a blessing. We will be back :-)“

“This place is fantastic. Service was prompt and we were seated quickly. The restaurant is clean, very open, and they had upbeat, fun music playing while we dined. We had steamed pork buns, sukiyaki, the O-Cha special noodles, taro boba with cheese foam, and Jasmine tea. The pork buns were on point, topped with traditional Vietnamese toppings like hoisin based sauce, pickled carrots and fresh jalapenos. The boba was perfect. The sukiyaki wasn't like the traditional Japanese sukiyaki I am familiar with. I'd say it was a Viet spin on that dish, but don't misread this: it was absolutely 100% delicious. Mildly salty but otherwise balanced and grounded, garlicky, with absolutely perfectly cooked shrimp and squid that soaked up all the flavor of the broth and provided a soft counter to the perfectly cooked, mildly crisp bok choy and cabbage. Very, very good.Honestly though, the O-Cha house special soup (sadly not pictured here) was an absolute show stopper. My hubby and I agree, this is possibly one of the best broths we've ever had. We have slurped a LOT of noodles so that's high praise. Somewhere between a really delicate pho and a tom yum, it was perfect with its mix of thick noodles and a hodgepodge of thinly sliced meats and veg.10/10 would recommend.“

“Outstanding place to unwind and soak in the local vibes. Parmesan Crusted Grouper, deviled eggs and fried oyster app, (pair it with an ice cold beer?) fish tacos, fresh local oysters were fantastic as well. Friendly service with great recommendations. I could go on - and I will, the key lime pie is killer ?“

“We had a family occasion to visit Madison's a few weeks ago with a party of six. We had reservations and the meal had been planned for a while. When the food arrived, we (most of us) were astonished at the small size of a combination platter. I personally had scallops and flounder. I had two TINY strips of flounder, not even the size of a frozen fish stick. What a disappointment. The scallops were also 'marble' size. The price of the meal, with an adult beverage, was over 70.00. The cost nowhere represented what the meal should have been. One of our couples asked if the combination platter was enough to split. The server's answer was "they could eat one of them by themselves." This should have been our warning. Very disappointed in the meal. I have had appetizers larger the two tiny slices of flounder. We return to Beaufort on occasions, as family lives there, but we will NOT return to Madison's.“
