“Agave has recently become our most favorite Mexican restaurant of all time. The first taste of the house Salsa and we were already starting to be hooked. Then the food came and blew us away. Everything we've had there has been exceptionally good. It doesn't just end there though. The staff is the sweetest and most personable staff of any restaurant I've been to in a long time. They make you feel at home and like family, and we are already starting an amazing friendship with them! If you were ever on the fence about checking this place out, let this review be a sign that it's time to go!!! You won't be disappointed!!!“

“Stoped by for quick lunch. They greeted and let us sit. We got our free chips and salsa. Hot and mild salsa and both were delicious. Ordered our seafood and the food came pretty quick. They made sure to check on us if we wanted anything else and filled the water glass frequently. Enjoyed the food. Clean restrooms and plenty of parking space.

“Stopped in for dinner last night, and since it’s in a little strip mall, I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting much. But as soon as I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised. Gigantic art on the walls, high-back wooden chairs carved out of wood, it was a totally different vibe than I anticipated, and in a good way. It was Friday night around 8:00, and the place was packed. Despite that, we got a table almost immediately.

Now, I didn’t care for the salsa. It was a bit too oniony and runny for my taste, but honestly, that’s the only downside. The Birria tacos were phenomenal. The portion of meat was huge, and for around $19, it was an exceptional value. The guys I was with all ordered different things, and they were just as impressed as I was. The service? Absolutely stellar. No complaints there.

So yeah, other than the salsa not being the best I’ve ever had, it’s a minor issue compared to how good everything else was. I’ll definitely be going back.“

“My wife and I stopped in today on a whim and I sure am glad we did. We were greeted with a helpful young man that spoke fluent English and some beautiful senior women from the kitchen who immediately starting making my wife and I samples and feeding us and having the young man explain the options and menu with us. We watched them make our fresh handmade tortilla’s, pico, guac, and we grabbed some chicken and beef. Made them up tonight for dinner and they were 🔥!

I say all of that to say this… our experience was amazing, the people are even better, and they’ve just made a new customer for life. Highly recommended! ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐“

“We went in, place fairly empty, I ordered a shrimp quessidila and it came out in approx. 5-8 mins. It was the quessidila meal so large enough to cut up in to 4 slices. Tortilla wouldn't even cut with their knife and not only did the shrimp look like it hadent been heated, much less grilled. Rice was ice cold and beans as well. Told waitress and she asked if I wanted anything else in its place and I politely passed. Took my dish away and blamed it on the ventilation system that causes food to get cold, lol, no, its food that isnt cooked that is always going to be cold, all restaurants have ventilation. My wife didn't even look at the bill and the raw food wasn't even taken off the bill but the waitress got a $25 tip. Never again at this place, ever and we eat out at least 5 days a week. Bad food, it happens, but to not remove a $17.99 + tax meal with raw shrimp, cold rice and beans on the side mind you that its hard to mess up rice and beans, they can have their raw food to serve to others.“

“A very small place with delicious food, the owner is always attentive, especially when there is a long wait. If you want to eat here on Sunday, take advantage and go early. It opens at 9 am because after 12 it gets full and you have to wait for a table.

“I just came to chipotle about 20 minutes ago and ordered a honey chipotle bowl and the man who scooped the chicken has to be a gift from god. He was near the end of the pan and instead of him giving one scoop he doubled NO HE TRIPLED THAT BOWL. The lady on the register was trying to tell him that was too much but it was too late to save the protein I was about to consume and devour. To the man who made my bowl….. Thank you. They need to make a statue of you outside the establishment to acknowledge your dedication to this bowl.“

“Catering: I used Salsarita’s in Gastonia for my sister’s birthday party. You wouldn’t believe the amount of food! And it was all delicious. I received so many compliments from our guests. In addition, Salsarita’s supplied everything, even the racks and chafing dish fuel. Then a few minutes after we returned home, the restaurant called to apologize because they forgot to pack the lettuce and to ask for my address since the manager was going to bring the lettuce. Yes, he drove from Gastonia to Clover to deliver a huge tray of shredded lettuce. That’s real service!“
