“Simply perfection! The oyster selection is otherworldly. The chargrilled oysters the best Ive had in my life. (Florida born an culinary chef.) The peel & eat shrimp so plump and served ice cold I have craved them since I had them. The service was above and beyond. The atmosphere encouraged private chatter but also conversation with next table easily. Friendly and cheerful and above all excellent food served with smiles, suggestions, and ease. I will never visit Charleston again without making sure to dine here. (Do not eat the soup. I actually sent it back to the kitchen. Never have I had to do that. ) Highly recommend again and again for everything else.“

The French Onion pizza was spectacular. My mom and brother got wine, and that looked pretty good.

My only complaint is we ordered some meatballs off of the happy hour menu and they were tiny… like super tiny… like penny sized. And I like to eat. But now I know the pizza is better bang for my buck.

“Delicious biscuits! I had a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit - it was flaky and flavorful. The lady at the counter was friendly, sweet, and kind; she even gave me a sticker, and a card to entice me to come back. I also bought some mixes, and a package of their sausage biscuits (for later). We even went to a nearby Publix store for their pimento cheese (they were out at the shop). Yum!“

“I read a comment my friend posted about Hall’s Chophouse and I was curious. I was on my way to Florida and I told my wife I would take her there for our 26th. Anniversary. Well, I must say I have never, and I went to many restaurants and bars, I have never been so please with everything. The reception, the impeccable and amicable service by Scott, the food was sublime and the owner Billy was so cordial and friendly. From beginning to finish, the experience was exceptional. You MUST go there the food is AMAZING.“

We sat in the courtyard AB’s was placed under the above heater. We started smelling gas and the heat never reached the table area. So we were freezing. The appetizers were wonderful. The couple got seated next to us ten minutes after us and received their food first. Was told about different and best food options and a dessert menu. We were not given either. Bbq in the shrimp and grits was over powering any other flavor. Husband got fish and grits and it was excellent. Not a 0 but I’m in no hurry to go back or recommend to anyone else. Great service, nice atmosphere, and the food is absolutely amazing! We wanted to get photos of our meals but we were so excited to dig in when it came out that we forgot all about photos! “First time visit recommended by nephew. Great food, great server and prompt service. Always try to be considerate in not overstaying our welcome when people are waiting to be seated. We finished our lunch having been there a total of one hour , enjoying talk with nephew who we hadn’t seen in months when another employee rudely and abruptly said “so, are you ready to settle up?” Never have we felt like we were being ejected from a restaurant! And the real rub is there were at least 3 empty tables and a booth in our seating area. We three were so stunned by her rude manners, we politely gave her our card, (and she took the liberty of pre-selecting a 22% tip which we gladly gave our server)paid our bill and left - NEVER TO RETURN!“
