“We were there on Sept 12th about 5pm.... the restraunt is so busy during regular dinner hours (understandable because the food is delicious) .... my advice is to try going on off hours ... because the server staff is so over-stimulated with too many customers/tables to handle during the heavily trafficked dinner rush ... however we were pleasantly surprised to discover that the kitchen does a great job of taking the time to make each dish deliciously perfect even in the face of overcrowded chaos ... thank you to the boathouse kitchen staff for making our meal perfect when the rest of the house was going crazy“

“The risotto was over flavored with Tarrogon (no warning in menu) and had large hard peppercorns in it. The Faroese island salmon had a lovely crispy skin but a lot of dark fatty and strong flesh under it. The bread is amazing, maple apple salad and the fish soup special with saffron tomato broth were excellent. The short rib and gnocchi was very good but too much food. Our waiter was exceptionally efficient.“

I go out to breakfast 7 days a week x 365 days a year .. have had my morning meal in several South Carolina establishments..you get the picture. Sunrise Bistro recently hired a a baker, Maddy. I have had a blueberry, lemon, cranberry/orange and nutella/raspberry muffin..I can say without hesitation these are by far the best muffins I have ever had. “I use to love this place,but they have fallen off big time. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich, it was bland, they didn't bother with jalapeños that were supposed to be on it. My son asked for bacon on his burger, it wasn't there. Also the table next to me had a dog that was constantly under my table and begging others for food. Big let down“

“We like Seewee and go a few times every year. The food is good. My only co.plaint is the fish stew. There was no fish in it except maybe a flec or two. It was canned diced tomatoes in a bowl, no flavor at all. I have never asked to not charge me for a dish at a restaurant but I wish I had.“

Highly recommend a visit if you like unpretentious spots with that local vibe. It looks like the business is being targeted by trolls who have never visited, but we can clearly say you should trust the locals. I have never been uncomfortable in there, but don’t walk in expecting a Hall’s experience. It’s a bar first, just with good food options.“

As a first timer there, he helped us navigate the menu to our personal palates and his recommendations were on point! Don’t miss the Lotus Flower and Eel with Shrimp Tempura rolls. Equally delicious, the Twice Cooked Chicken and Pad Thai came out well prepared and presented. I don’t usually order dessert, but we couldn’t resist the fried cheesecake with green tea ice cream.
