“We had dinner at Dragon Palace on Daniel Island this evening, and it was probably the best Chinese food I’ve had in the Charleston area. Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The sesame chicken was excellent, the pork dumplings and crab puffs were delicious, and the soups were a great way to start the meal.

Our waitress, Skyla, did a fantastic job. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.

If you’re looking for great Chinese food around Charleston, I’d definitely recommend giving Dragon Palace a try. We’ll definitely be back!“

“Been coming here since the 80s. Basically my favorite Chinese childhood spot. The food is still amazing. Even though I now live 25-30 from there, I still make it over there a couple times a month to eat. It never disappoints me. P.S They now ONLY ACCEPT CASH. Which is frustrating, because I keep forgetting when I go. The little corner store next to them, does cash back for a 3 dollar fee. Yeah I know ugh. Still worth it for me!!“

“This is literally the best food in Summerville. I moved here from NY 4 years ago and this is the closest tasting Chinese food to NY I have came across. The food is fresh, the chicken is delicious the bones are not dark you can tell the meat is fresh. Anyway, I placed the order and tracked it once it was picked up (I guess Asia Express uses a third-party for deliveries - in this case it was Uber Eats), only to receive a call when the driver was supposedly very close to my house (I say that because the tracking did NOT indicate that). Anyway, the driver stated she had been in an accident and said I could either come get the food from where she was or call to cancel the order. As soon as we hung up I called the restaurant to let them know, and they knew nothing about it. I gave them the number the driver called from (at their request), but I was told when they called me back they could not reach her. The restaurant was so kind to make the order again and send one of their employees to deliver it to my house. I thought that was a great gesture on their part. “This is the typical Chinese food you’ll find in the North East. The other places I’ve tried down here all I can taste is sugar but here you actually get some flavor and heat.

We’ve had the Mongolian chicken which I enjoy, the general Tao’s chicken which people seem to really like, and the kung pao chicken also came out nicely.

Portion sizes are generous, prices are good. Service is no nonsense and quick because of it.
