“(This is Tim Burgess - Marlene's Husband).I was visiting NC from Arizona, last week. I was looking for a locally owned craft beer bar/bottle shop with great reviews while in town. I found the perfect place. I went in there twice last week and was greeted both times by Kit- The Owner. He made me feel very welcome. We talked about how important great service is and how he really makes a great effort to take care of his customers. I went there twice whilst in town. The atmosphere is very welcoming. I chatted with several patrons at Kit's and everyone was very very friendly. They have a great selection of bottles, cans, and beers on tap. (I bought several beers to carry out.) They also have a plethora of wines to choose from (though I did not partake).If I lived in the Charlotte area, I would definitely be a regular here. Thank you for a great time! “My wife and I stopped here Friday night before dinner at a nearby restaurant. Friday and Saturday nights get very crowded but we were fortunate to grab 2 seats at the bar which is rather small. They specialize in MANY types of wine, craft beers and sangria. I’m had the Gailic Ale and an Oktoberfest, my wife had the red sangria. The atmosphere is that of a boutique book shop/winery. They offer a small selection of small bites that looked delicious. Very cool place . Prices were fair and we look forward to going back.“

“The service and most of the food was amazing last Saturday night. My brother had the Wagu steak it had good flavor and was cooked perfectly. The only problem was it was chewy and the fat seemed like it did not break down. Our server was amazing and said that she would get a manager. 20 minutes later the manager came over with an attitude. We explained the situation and he seemed not to care. Said every once in a while that even the best meat could be off. He did nothing to fix it and walked off like we wasted his time. Very disappointed in the manager’s lack of interest. Very satisfied and happy with our server.“

“First I had a great experience here. Reservation was Saturday @ 9pm party of 3. We did this to stay for the DJ that comes after 10pm. Plenty of parking. Smaller than what you see in pictures we were on the main level in a booth like seating arrangement. This is more of an upscale tavern style dining, not 1930's styling as I have read in some reviews. Everyone was dressed nice, music was like in a nightclub. Upper level is out door patio seating, a small area to take pictures. I thought prices were fare every option we chose was delicious, dessert was not impressive.We ordered shareables, and appetizers. Crispy Sichuan cauliflower, flank steak, ceasar salad, margarita flatbread. Ordered bottle of Moscato and a Rose and creme brule w/ 20% tip came to $215 ish. We were not rushed to leave. We ordered all food we were going to eat for the night when the waitress came, based off of reviews stating long wait times for food service. Food came out within 20 minutes. Granted @ 9pm it was busy but not crowded. By 11pmish many guest left and restaurant was empty, no DJ came that evening. Unclear if DJ is supposed to be every Fri/ Sat. We enjoyed ourselves staff was amazing, no issues. Would return.“

“I went to Hobo's last night for a friend's birthday. We sat outside for karaoke. I have wanted to sing karaoke for awhile but I've always been way too nervous!! DJ Swin (please tag him!) did such an awesome job at hyping up the audience AND the singers! it didn't matter what your singing ability was he made you feel great about getting up there! People were being silly and having fun which is what karaoke is all about! So when my hubby asked me to sing with him I did! I got up there and actually had a lot of fun. We had cocktails beforehand but noticed their lounge is spacious , we will be sure to have pre dinner drinks there next time. Our server was very attentive and helpful with menu choices. There happened to be the YOCO Trail week w/ special menu items at several restaurants in the area. So we were able to each choose an appetizer, entree and dessert for $35 each. We had the tortillas with lobster dip, a strawberry salad and they served warm bread with a tomato and olive oil sauce. I ordered shrimp and grits and my wife had the salmon. We also chose the key lime pie and chocolate mousse cake. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!!! We will definitely be back. Highly recommend!“
