My wife ordered the grilled pork chops with three vegetables, while I went with a classic hamburger and fries. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the food arrived hot and fresh with barely any wait time. The attention to detail in both the preparation and presentation was evident. Our server, Janice, was an absolute delight—greeted us with a smile and was full of great recommendations to help us choose the perfect meal. Her friendly, attentive service made the experience even better. If you’re anywhere near Batesburg, The Root Cellar is a must-visit. “A friend and I have regular dinner dates at Terra and we always have a great time! Tonight we had the shishito peppers, Chinese pork belly, snapper and the braised lamb pappardelle followed by the olive oil cake with sweet cream eggplant ice cream. We both agreed it was one of our top meals over the past several years at Terra and cannot wait until our next date! Quality, consistency and service are always top notch, and the one time we tried another restaurant for our date night we totally regretted it and went right back to Terra for our next meetup. “I have eaten here a few times. The chicken salad is great! The croissant each time is a bit dry. I switched to their wheat bread, which was better. The quality of their chicken salad is amazing. So flavorful! The lettuce and tomato are fresh. The cute little cookie you get just ordering a sandwich was a nice treat! I’ve tried the broccoli cheddar soup, that is very cheesy and tasty. The pasta salad was kind of bland and a super small portion but that’s ok. They have lots of options to figure out what you like. The price is not bad if you just do the sandwich, less than $10. My favorite is the Kickin’ Kay Lynne. The sriracha is a nice touch! The cranberry Kelly is good too! That one reminds me of cape cod chicken salad like back home. This place is always packed but the staff is always nice and get you in and out pretty quickly. My new favorite lunch spot!“

“Took the family there for July 4th instead of cooking out. Daughter wanted friend shrimp instead of BBQ so she ordered off the menu. the shrimp tasted like old grease and she couldn't eat them. I told the waiter and there was no offer to replace them, cook another order or remove from the bill. So I got to pay for something inedible and get her something else to eat on the way home. we have eaten Hudson's regularly, but it will probably be a while before we come back, if we do.“

“The Mother's Day Buffet at the Doubletree is terrific. This was our 2nd year in a row and we weren't disappointed. They provide such a wide variety of food choices and everything is cooked to perfection. The staff is so friendly and professional, and the decor even includes an ice sculpture with a gorgeous flower arrangement. It is really a full dining experience and the desserts are not to be missed, we will return again.“

“Stopped by on a whim and was bowled over by the food and the folks working there. I had the fried pork chop, yams, potato salad and Mac n cheese. All of it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The entire staff was friendly and funny. A perfect spot for soul food. Extra credit for some great lemonade in the biggest cup I’ve ever seen. Get some time to go by and get a great meal.“
