“This place is what my wife has affectionately refered to as a "church of bars". Everybody here is friendly. The owners, the barkeepers, and the customers are all great. There is almost never any trouble. Since everybody knows everybody and everyone are friends, if you start trouble, you start trouble with the entire place. They have live music often. My favorite is Shrek's open mic night on fridays where everybody is more than welcome to play and even one of the bartenders gets into it and drums along either on his djembe or an upturned bucket. I have never once had a bad time here. The prices are among the lowest in the area and the people mame it an awesome spot to hang out.“

“My bartender Felisatie greeted me with a smile and told my what the beer special of today was. She took my drink/food order in a timely fashion and made sure that my food order was complete before she enter it in the cash register...Hey pleasant personality is extremely rare nowadays.“
“We love axe throwing and with family in town, we want to give tehm the amazing experience. We have never gone to the Columbia one, but it was a great vibe as well. Grabbing some Liquid Death and some extra things to throw with, as well as a great deal of the day. We did some great throwing, and well, maybe someone might want to watch out because I am good with the stars. Can't wait to come back and throw again.“

“11 of us came to town for an LSU game. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like regulars. I cannot say enough about the staff. Meagan, Brianna, and Jayson were amazing. We visited several times during our stay. If we ever come back to town, we will make Calloway’s a must. And, the food was amazing! Don’t miss the wings!!“

“We catered goat biryani for my mom’s dua, and I have to say I’m very impressed by Persis’s service and thankful to them! the food was delivered on time, they gave us a great deal, and it was absolutely delicious, everyone loved it, I would highly recommend catering from Persis!“

“We had an in-house catering for our Softball Christmas party. Leigh handle everything amazingly for us and made everything go smooth. She stayed in contact and made sure we had a wonderful time. Food and service was wonderful“

“This is a small, quiet family bar/grille spot just off the lake. I had the tri-tip fajitas, and they were EXCELLENT. Not only the fajitas themselves; the beans on the side were delicious whether eaten solo or with the fajita, and the pico de gallo was extremely fresh and on-point. Prices were also very reasonable. Highly recommended!“

“My husband has been smoking meats for 20 years.. he has NEVER complimented any establishment like Peebles! The brisket and ribs (we got the Jamaican Jerk) were to die for! The beer selection is awesome. It may be called a 5 star Dive Bar because all you want to do is DIVE INTO THE FOOD! The wing selection IS CRAZY! You can order flats only (my fav!) and multiple flavors like the meat! The bartenders Shannon and Danny were AWESOME! We also had a new server, Josh who was so efficient, polite and fun! This is a WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER pit stop! I do wish they offered ONE salad (their blue cheese and ranch for wings is UNBELIEVABLE!) so Danny gave me 2 cups of celery and carrots to ease my craving of “veggies”!“

“The food was great, but service was a little slow. When you’re serving more than 1 person in a party, the food should come at the same time (unless it’s a HUGE party, of course). Nonetheless, It was just two of us and our meals were served 15 minutes apart. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and I was a little disappointed.“

“Mother's Day. Average wait, about 15 minutes. Entrees arrived before appetizers though. Our hostess, Emily, was very attentive and we never had to wait for attention. Food was delicious despite the little longer wait and mix-up with entrees and appetizers. Overall, no complaints. I would return.“

“We hadn’t had Applebee’s in YEARS but had a craving. It’s always been a nostalgic place for us. We ordered two burgers, wings and a dessert through UberEats and the food was SO good; as good as we remembered. Our order was accurate, fresh and tasty. It was also packaged nicely too and the restaurant included silverware. Which seems like a small thing but some places forget. Whatever this Applebee’s is doing, keep it up!“

“This has been my neighborhood bar for a minute, and I love hanging out here. But tonight they went above and beyond:
Today is my brother's birthday, who passed a couple years ago. I came in to honor a tradition we had, taking a shot of Jameson right at 10pm once a week. It was a goofy tradition we had, that I've tried to honor on his birthday since he passed.
Bit only did they help me honor that, but they poured a shot for my brother, and set him up a place at the bar so I could spend quality time with him.
Hemmys may be a local bar, but it's also filled with some of the classiest people I've ever known. Cheers!“
