“The food was great! We all had the “Black and Blue”. Filet medallions were so tender; fried green tomatoes were the best I've ever had; crème brûlée was wonderful as well. Most importantly the service was exceptional. Way beyond expectations. She never let our glasses get empty and made sure our food preferences were honored. She kept asking if we needed anything. Lauren was kind, friendly and had a beautiful smile. She made our experience memorable. Lauren also praised her manager, Dan, stating he was the best she ever worked for, and that the entire staff loved working for him. “Holmes Hotdogs and catering may be the best local restaurant you could ever have the pleasure of visiting. I first came here over a year ago and I knew then it was something special. If I had a friend from another country visiting, and I could choose one place to show them a true slice of what America should be, I would take them here without a second thought. Holmes has a small menu, and I believe it is perfect. Because of their small menu, I believe they are able to assure every single item on it is made with quality and care. They recently added a new item, the bird dog, to their menu. The bird dog features a chicken tender, pickles, and honey mustard on a hot dog bun. I thought the bird dog was incredible, and I'll be sure to get it again with onions next time. I would personally recommend their chicken sandwich, which is always piping hot and made to order, and their sausage dogs, which I personally believe are their standout menu items, especially with sauerkraut and onions topping them. Holmes has an atmosphere unlike any other restaurants I've ever been in, you can tell the owner and employees truly care about not just the quality of their food and service, but also the wellbeing of their community. I've never felt like I don't belong when I walk into Holmes. I've wrote all of this without even mentioning their incredible prices, which are comparable to other local locations, however the quality of the food, service, and everything else about Holmes is what makes this location worth so much more than any other in the area. Out of anything I've ever reviewed, Holmes has worked the hardest and consistently proved their 5 star rating, and I have no doubt if I reviewed them in another year, they would continue to hold it.“

Whether I order the half off wings or something else off the menu, Whether I leave a $5 tip or $20 tip he always remain the same! She took our order, cooked it and bagged it up all with a smile (a tired smile but a beautiful smile) - did I mention she’s pregnant? “Get it while you can, this is a dying breed. Quintessential Gen X burger place. My whole visit just now could have been an hour of MTV from the 80’s with the Bowl game on all TV’s. Not being a burger person, I opted for the chicken tenders this time. Not the best, but okay. My husband and his brother were with me and they are both burger eaters, so they were both quite satisfied. The sweet potato fries were excellent, as were the regular potato wedge fries. I highly recommend the fry sauce. There is an extensive bakery menu and excellent shakes. Restrooms were exceptionally clean.“

“The bisket is full of fat, if you like fat you are in the right place. I have never been served slices of fat. I had more fat then bisket. Will not return. Brisket sandwich was 10.00 and the majority was fat. They knew I had never had bisket before, so the served me fat.“

It had mayo but the real surprise was how perfect the honey mustard tasted. I never thought about doing that and so glad I tried this, I now have a new favorite place to eat. Service was lightening fast and very friendly. Loved watching the girls and how well they knew their customers. Very impressive. I give it a 13 out of 10. Great job“
