Our waitress was super peppy and friendly, and several other staff stopped by periodically to see how everything was. The appetizer (baked brie, the artichoke dip, and the table bread and butter were very good. All 4 entrees were good as well. Would definitely recommend.“

Our last visit a couple of days ago was absolutely perfect, I always meant to leave a review but never have, but it was such a great visit with impeccable service that I had to leave this review. “Went for lunch today and will definitely be back. The owner Pete was working the bar, the indoor dining area and the outdoor dining area by himself. He was friendly, gracious and apologetic to our group of 4 for our wait. We had zero complaints. The food was great, the drinks on point and great atmosphere. He gave us a discount on our bill for the wait even though he was the only one whoever mentioned it! Recommend stopping in for the food, drinks and vibe. I’m sure Pete will be working and hope he serves you.“

“The Canoe Club has a very creative seasonal menu featuring many fresh fares from the local seafood selection. The roasted oyster appetizer was particularly good, as was the black grouper. The desert menu was limited, and some of the food was overly creative to its own detriment, where it looked amazing, but the flavor didn't match the visual appeal.

“First , many people thanks to our server Mike. His guidance regarding the menu , his delightful sense of humor, and simply wonderful service made our dinner very special. The food was amazing. I had a Greek salad with salmon. The greens were nice and fresh and the salmon was cooked to perfection. My 13 year old grandson had a steak. I can't remember him eating any meal with such relish! It was our first visit. We will be back. Highly recommend.“

We had oysters and the crab/shrimp dip in the bread. My husband gets oysters whenever we visit a coastal area (we live on the coast in Delaware) and found the oysters from the May River to be the best he has had. The dip was perfect - thick, full of crab and shrimp, and not salty. We visit Bluffton every Spring and we will be back to Bluffton Family Seafood House! Also, we recommended this place to others already!“

Ultimately, we decided it's just "meh". The servers and staff were great, but that's not the only thing we go to a restaurant for. If you just want a beer or a glass of wine it's perfect. If you want a mixed cocktail or anything off the menu ... just push onto the next place, it's bound to be better.“

“We went on vacation to the beach. Happened to stop at a Walmart that had a burger place called Wayback Burgers. Now I'm a burger man I love burgers and Philly cheesesteaks. The double bacon burger and Philly cheese steak we're awesome. I also purchase a chicken BLT sandwich for my son plane of course and he said it was the best sandwich he's ever had. The owner was awesome he actually gave me two free drinks because I forgot to order drinks. If you are ever in this city try the Wayback Burger place in Walmart. The food was awesome.“
