“Fun taco joint! They have so many options and it was all tasty- we all did the 3 for special and had so many different types! If you love spicy they have it! Our server did a great job and gave us a heads up on the restaurants own hot sauce. It was a deep kind of heat, one you feel in your pores a minute or so after eating it. Everyone at our table the tried it liked it!“

“I came in yesterday alone while in town for business for lunch shortly after opening. I got a great parking spot and seat. The restaurant was clean and very inviting. I had Alejandra for my server. She was wonderful! I ordered the lunch special number 3 and a small guacamole dip with Alejandra's recommendation because I didn't want it to be too spicy which is why I didn't order the guacamole made at the table. I also ordered the sweet tea which was very good, just the right amount of sweetness. The food came out very quick which was my hope by ordering off the lunch menu. It was very delicious especially the guacamole! The restrooms were one stall (one for women, one for men, and one family). I used the family since the women was taken. It was very clean and nice. I will absolutely be back when it town. Great job Mezcal!!!!!“

“So, our first visit brings a mixed review. We were visiting in Mt Pleasant and decided Mex food was the plan. Santi's was close so we headed there. We were immediately seated outside where we wanted to be which was great. Drinks flower quickly as did the chips and dip and appetizer. Orders were placed, and then the wait began. I'd say the food itself was very very good. Tasty, good quality, and not your average fare. 5 stars on the food. That said, perhaps they were short handed but the server team outside was largely non-existent. Perhaps they came by once or twice and eventually we got some refills, but we waited so long to get our bill that we eventually got up and went to the back door patrons aren't supposed to use and waited for an employee to notice us. We eventually settled our bill and left. Atmosphere inside was eclectic, but looking run down. Service wasn't great. The quality of food would bring us to give it another chance should we be in town again sometime.“

But NO, the payment was so quick and small! (No extra fees either) My small family of 3 ate HUGE meals for $30! And it was so good! We HAD TO tip them $40 for all of the good work they did 👏! “My Family first tried the North Charleston location a few months back, and as non meat or dairy consumers, we were pleasantly surprised at the variety that Azul Mexicano had to offer. As a lover of Mexican food that is authentic, I definitely recommend this place for food, service, and atmosphere. The next location was James island which was even better! Our server greeted us with a smile every time that she approached and made sure to check on us often. Although the music was quite loud inside(even in the restroom) we had the option of eating outside on a beautiful day. The bugs were pretty much non-existent, and the traffic noise was no issue as we sat and ate. The food was also perfect for two children ages 6 and under.“
