“I travel all across the US and enjoy little home restaurants, but I have to say my experience at True BBQ was hands down my favorite. The hash and rice was awesome, which I had never experienced before and the service along with the food was phenomenal. Mr Milton is a true genuine friend that calls you family as soon as you enter the doors.“

“Hite’s Bar-B-Que is a true Columbia staple and one of those classic spots that’s been around for a reason. It’s not trying to be fancy or trendy. It’s just straightforward, no frills BBQ that hits the spot when you want something familiar and satisfying.
The food is solid, the portions are good, and it’s the kind of place you can count on for a dependable meal. It feels like a local institution and it’s the type of restaurant that adds character to a city.
I’m giving it five stars because it does exactly what it’s supposed to do and it does it consistently. If you want a classic Columbia BBQ experience, Hite’s is absolutely worth a visit.“

“Stopped by for a quick bite and everything was delicious. I didn't even think I was that hungry, but I finished the 1/4 order of pulled pork - and all the sides. They accidentally gave me cole slaw instead of green beans, but I didn't mind. Within seconds of sitting down, the hostess came by and dropped off the green beans, apologizing for the error. She had noticed it when my order came out and proactively made the correction! She was very sweet about it and I appreciate the gesture. Plus, their selection of sauces ensures you get the flavors you like!“

“Food is amazing. Recently got a bunch of food for friends visiting from Atlanta, and they were blown away and already talking about eating there again when they come back. Can’t talk about good BBQ in Columbia and not mention Big Bull’s!“

“This was my first time here and our server was fantastic. They explained everything answered all of our questions and was polite and friendly. There were many options on the menu to handle gluten free & dye free needs and many vegetarian options as well as a nice variety for pescatarians. You sure don't leave hungry!“

“I had my first lunch with the restaurant in Columbia today and it was a GREAT experience! Definitely the very bbq in the area! Totally enjoyed the food, as well as the friendly demeanor of all who we came in contact with. I’m going to use the catering soon for an event at work and cannot wait for everyone to try it out! “I had the smoked pigs feet and 1/4 smoked chicken leg and in every bite you can taste the smoky flavor. Had homemade Mac and cheese, white rice ( which had flavor to it) and omg the best fresh and I mean fresh cut collards ( I could eat a big bowl of them collards) . I wish they would bring back the smoked turkey wings, I’ve seen photos of the smoked turkey wings but was told they don’t do them anymore, this place is going to be my go to place at least once a week. Need to open on in the saint Andrews area“

“Can’t rave about Cox enough. Not only is their food delicious, they truly go above and beyond. We ordered our Thanksgiving turkey from there. We woke up Thanksgiving morning and were all feeling sick. Not wanting to waste the turkey, we called and asked if there was any chance we could pay them to deliver the turkey after the shop closes. Not only did they happily offer to deliver the turkey, they didn’t just drop it at the door, they insisted on bringing it in and set it up on our kitchen counter. We offered to pay them whatever they wanted for the holiday delivery and they absolutely refused. They said it was part of their job to make sure we enjoyed thanksgiving. While the food was so tasty, we are literally without words on their service. We will be customers for life and you should be too.“

“Went to the drive thru tonight and had the nicest employee take my order. He was friendly and so kind. Yes it took more time than your average drive thru but the food was hot and fresh. Will be back.“

“We got half scallion chicken, whole duck, beef noodle soup, eggplant.
All of it was delicious and juicy!
They do give you a heads up, with the duck and whole/chicken it doesn't come out hot but they were amazing.
The beef and noodle soup was a rich delicious soup. Relative to the other dishes the beef and noodle and the eggplant had a nice kick in the back of the throat but nothing crazy at all.
The staff is very nice, the service was good/fast. It's def a gem if you're looking for a good Chinese meal and haven't tried it yet!“

“1st time trying this great tasting establishment. I’m a BBQ fan, everywhere we travel I try and find the local go to spot, this one did not disappoint. The Brisket was amazing, the sides were all great as well. Portions were very filling, staff was super friendly.“
