“First time visitor, will not be the last. In town for the day, brother in law, a bbq judge, suggested True saying it’s the best hash he’s ever had. Have resisted hash my entire life, but tried it due to his recommendation. Wow, it was good, collards/Mac n cheese were good and the chopped pork was great, as it doesn’t need sauce, great flavor right off the smoker. Milton, the owner and pit master sat with us for a bit and talked bbq; that was an unexpected treat. Bought a couple pounds of Q to take home to North Carolina. Looking forward to a return trip. Also, the place was hospital clean. You can tell they take pride in both their food and their restaurant.“

“I didn't try their BBQ but I got some of their pork skins and the smoked flavor that was in them plus with just a hint of salt makes them so good and by far the best I've ever eaten and I've tasted plenty different kinds before so the next time that I go there I'm try their BBQ meat“

“My husband and I had a great experience. The food was really good and the customer service was great. My husband and I have been complaining about the food experience in Columbia, but Mission BBQ was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed it so much that we ordered more food to go.“

“This was my first time here and our server was fantastic. They explained everything answered all of our questions and was polite and friendly. There were many options on the menu to handle gluten free & dye free needs and many vegetarian options as well as a nice variety for pescatarians. You sure don't leave hungry!“

“I had my first lunch with the restaurant in Columbia today and it was a GREAT experience! Definitely the very bbq in the area! Totally enjoyed the food, as well as the friendly demeanor of all who we came in contact with. I’m going to use the catering soon for an event at work and cannot wait for everyone to try it out! “I had the smoked pigs feet and 1/4 smoked chicken leg and in every bite you can taste the smoky flavor. Had homemade Mac and cheese, white rice ( which had flavor to it) and omg the best fresh and I mean fresh cut collards ( I could eat a big bowl of them collards) . I wish they would bring back the smoked turkey wings, I’ve seen photos of the smoked turkey wings but was told they don’t do them anymore, this place is going to be my go to place at least once a week. Need to open on in the saint Andrews area“

“Stopped through on a whim. Pulled pork and brisket were great. Mac and cheese wasn’t for me but was decent. Green beans were… green beans.
Outside looked a little rough but I’m not there to oggle the decor. Just give me the food. A couple tables inside and out but not somewhere you come to sit and have your meal.
Other locals may come at me, but the meat was better than city limits and I didn’t have to stand in line 🙃“

“First time here, I’m originally from north where there’s good Chinese food and have yet to find it in this area, I was recommended this place from a nurse at an urgent care and since I’ve been unsuccessful so far, gave it a chance… love the rice, reminds me of home, hands down best I’ve had in the 2 years I’ve been here, egg rolls good, crab Rangoon yummy too, not a huge fan of the lo mein though and the order wasn’t 100% right as they were missing my white rice but overall would return again specifically for that pork fried rice“

“Man, I love this place! My boss would take me whenever I'm headed to Sumter after work and get 2 plates or at least a side of chicken. My plate usually consists of hash, barbecue, rice, ribs, greens, and roll. You have the option of cracklin. The most I spent on 1 plate with sides may be $21.00. They're affordable and enough to eat 2 times; furthermore, share if you like because you will feel guilty not too. Don't miss out on the deliciousness!“

“1st time trying this great tasting establishment. I’m a BBQ fan, everywhere we travel I try and find the local go to spot, this one did not disappoint. The Brisket was amazing, the sides were all great as well. Portions were very filling, staff was super friendly.“
