Customer service was exceptional. Staff was very friendly and offered desserts. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is very comfortable and relaxing.
First time trying McAlister’s today and it was wonderful! I walked in and was surprised by the comfy, dine in restaurant vibe. The atmosphere was northeastern, and very chill. The team welcomed me in and were quick to take my order. It was very clean and welcoming. I have been craving a Reuben for sometime, which isn’t a popular menu choice around East Tennessee. McAlister's Deli is a new place in Athens, Tn to eat. First time trying McAlister's was wonderful. The comfy, dine in restaurant vibe was a surprise. The atmosphere was northeastern, and very chill. The team welcomed in and were quick to take the order. It was very clean and welcoming. The team members were welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. The Reuben weighed as much as a small dog. The sauerkraut was sautéed perfectly, the corned beef was stacked high and very high quality. You get what you pay for, and today I got every cent of value. Will be back to try more sandwiches. One visit took 20 mins to get a French dip. People who wasn't even in line got their food before. Nothing was offered for the long wait. Food good though. If considering catering options, McAlister's should be on the list. Breakfast and lunch packages for a large pre-wedding party were well-prepared, well-presented and absolutely delicious. They honored all dietary restrictions. The restaurant doesn't open until 10 am, but they had everything ready for pickup by 7 am. Super impressed by the ease of online ordering, quality of food, and friendly staff. Great sandwich soo good. Took a husband one home and he loved it too and he really is not a sandwich person but this will be a regular thing. The Memphian no ham was fantastic. The potato sald was fresh and delicious and the pickles are fantastic too. The host's personality and knowledge of the menu made the dining experience the very best. So glad Athens has this restaurant. We went right at the lunch rush around 12 and everything still moved at a great pace. The restaurant was clean, the staff was attentive, and the manager on duty was especially nice and knowledgeable when we had questions about the menu. Hopefully they keep up this level of service. So excited to have a new place in Athens, Tn to eat. Food and service were great both times. Once was pick up and the other was done in. Both experiences were good. Love having them here and will definitely be back.
