“We come from New Orleans, we were looking for great tacos. Our favorite was Taqueria El Dolar #2! The best service, very tasty, and the best prices. We went twice, in one day. We will definitely return to Taqueria el Dolar when we return to Nashville. My favorites were the sopes!!“

“We found this place while walking the cemetery next door and after not wanting to wait in line at the farmers market for donuts. With donuts on the mind and a cup of coffee in hand, we decided to check it out. The ladies working were really nice and it’s something about the tiny forks they give you with the box of donuts that made the meal. They were more like funnel cakes than donuts but hit the spot none the less. The “generous dozen” was more than enough to share with two people.“

“My son is usually somewhat of a picky eater. He hardly ever tries new foods on a whim but was very interested in trying the carne beef empanadas when he saw them! I was so excited to see him branch out and seek something different than what he would typically choose. When he received his empanadas they smelled heavenly, they were so hot and fresh, crisp on the outside yet still a light flakiness on the inside. The meat and cheese were so stretchy and delicious! We were both in awe of how flavorful they were, and the sauce on the side elevated it perfectly! We came home and have since told everyone about them! “Skip taco bell and get your burritos and taco's here. They are really good. Better than most food trucks of the same type. I always get a chicken burrito and steak burrito. Plus, I'll get about 5 chicken tacos.My advice would be to call ahead of time to place your order. It's a line most of the time. However, if you don't call ahead, they're pretty fast at getting orders out the window.“

“Being from South Louisiana I crave crawfish this time of year and I was so glad to find a local vendor that is also from Louisiana and knows crawfish! I got a 30lb sack this weekend for a small family boil and they were good! I know early on in the season not to expect a lot of large crawfish, but we were surprised to find a few of what I'd call Select size. We have some local Nashville family that have never been to a crawfish boil so it was fun to be able to share this experience with them. “I was starving so could be worse than I’m thinking. Gonna try it again soon. Didn’t seem to be greasy. It took a while which is usually a good sign. Asada on tacos wasn’t over cooked. Usually the meat is cooked then they throw it on the skillet again. They prob do it the same here but start with medium rare. Chicken torta was great as well“

“This was our first visit and we will be back. Food was very good and authentic. Cute and cozy place and the deli/store has some neat finds. The only thing that was disappointing was that when I paid the bill, I paid with cash, to avoid the added fee for using my debit card. I gave the waiter an extra $20 so that I would have enough for a tip. He was gone for several minutes and when he came back, I had the change from the bill and the $20 bill was still there. I asked him to make change so that I would be able to leave a proper tip. He told me that he was unable to, that it would be awhile because there wasn't enough cash to make change. This was very frustrating. Management needs to do a better job of assuring there is enough cash on hand so that their waitstaff can get the proper tip they earned.“

“Tacos for the win! We were staying at the HI Express nearby and after a death defying walk over (seriously...no sidewalks and a crosswalk from and to nowhere), we scored AWESOME tacos. We're from AZ and travel all over the country in our RV and are always on the hunt for great tacos. This place had them! Totally worth the walk...and then we ducked into the gas station and picked up some margaritas in the can and we were set. This is a great place so head over and get some great food for a super price!“

“The best tortas I've had outside of Mexico City! I've been there four times and I've tried, like, seven different tortas. They're all good, but the Toluqueña is the best. It's got milanesa, chorizo, and quesillo, as well the other standard torta ingredients. The tortas are even better with rajas and salsa. You have to ask for these though. The guys are super friendly too. Don't be fooled by some of the negative reviews, they're mostly from several years ago!“

“While the food was really good, customer service needs an overhaul. Stopped in at 11am with only one customer ahead of us, and it took almost 15-20 mins. For someone to take our order. There were 6 people “working” at a snail’s pace. There was no sense of urgency when the line to order reached the door. It was almost like no one working knew what to do.“

“These were some good tacos I’ve had in a while. My absolute favorite was the BBQ taco, it was packed with so much flavor and so juicy! The steak taco (tender) was good as well as the pollo (it was ok) but the BBQ taco was the highlight of the meal. I also ordered a asada quesadilla and it was delicious with the green sauce.I wish I was given more limes. The tortillas was dry but when you top it with the sauce everything came together.Very clean food truck! Was impressed on the cleanliness for it to be located outside a gas station. 9.2/10“
